Who does NOT need to attend?

Self-certification affidavits: which one do you need?

Appendix D (Locomotor Disability – Lower Extremity) is required if your disability affects your lower body stability. You must declare your ability to bear weight on both legs, stand on your affected leg, walk on plain surfaces, sit on a chair, climb stairs, go downstairs, and turn left and right.
Appendix E (Mental Illness, Speech Disorders, Specific Learning Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder) is required if you have one of these conditions. You must declare your ability to communicate clearly, listen and respond to speech, follow instructions and comprehend medical terminology, and maintain social interaction.
Appendix F (Visual Impairment) is required if you have visual impairment. You must declare which eye(s) are affected, what low vision aids you use, and confirm that with the aid, your best corrected visual acuity improves to less than 40% disability, your field of vision is greater than 40 degrees, and the aid is hands-free and suitable for everyday use.

2. 3. Ability to Complete the MBBS Course: The Board will determine whether you can successfully complete the MBBS course and acquire the prescribed competencies, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Possible outcomes of the Medical Assessment Board evaluation

1. Eligible: The Board certifies that you are capable of successfully completing the MBBS course and acquiring the essential competencies prescribed under the CBME Curriculum. No reasonable accommodation is required. You will be eligible for admission under the PC/PwBD category.
2. Eligible with Reasonable Accommodation: The Board certifies that you are capable of successfully completing the MBBS course, but only if specific reasonable accommodations are provided.
