Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, has announced the schedule for the Special Stray Round of MBBS counselling and the 5th Round of BDS counselling for the 2026–27 academic session in Haryana. This is the final opportunity for eligible candidates who did not secure a seat in earlier rounds (Round 1, 2, 3, or the first Stray Round) to apply for admission to government, government-aided, and private medical and dental colleges across Haryana, including private universities like SGT University, Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Al-Falah University, and Sanskaram University. Registration opens today, 3 November 2026, and the entire process—from choice submission to joining—must be completed by 16 November 2026. This round is critical: if you do not join by the deadline, you forfeit your security deposit and lose eligibility for any future rounds.
Register and submit choices by 7 November 2026 (11:59 PM), deposit the security fee by 14 November (5:00 PM), attend document verification on 15 November, and join your allotted college by 16 November (4:00 PM) — missing any deadline disqualifies you.

Unlock My College ListWho Is Eligible for This Round?
You are eligible for the Special Stray Round MBBS or 5th Round BDS if you have a valid NEET UG 2026 score and meet one of these conditions: (1) you registered in Round 1, 2, 3, or the first Stray Round but did not get a seat, or (2) you are registering for the first time now. Candidates who already registered in any earlier round do NOT need to register again—you can log in with your existing credentials and proceed directly to choice submission.
You are NOT eligible if: (1) you were allotted a seat in Round 3 or the first Stray Round (even if you did not join), (2) you have already joined any seat allotted to you in any earlier round through All India Counselling or any state counselling (resignation does not restore eligibility), or (3) you failed to deposit the required security amount in an earlier round and were not allotted a seat—in that case, you must not deposit again for this round.
- Valid NEET UG 2026 score required
- Either already registered in earlier rounds OR registering for the first time
- NOT eligible if allotted a seat in Round 3 or Stray Round 1 (regardless of joining status)
- NOT eligible if you have already joined any seat in any earlier round
- NOT eligible if you did not deposit security in an earlier round and were not allotted a seat
Important Dates: Timeline You Must Follow
The entire Special Stray Round MBBS and 5th Round BDS process runs on a compressed 14-day schedule. Every date is final—there are no extensions. Missing even one deadline will result in your disqualification and forfeiture of your security deposit.
The schedule is designed to move quickly: registration and choice submission happen in the first 5 days, allocation is announced on day 8, fee deposit must be completed by day 12, document verification occurs on day 13, and joining must happen by day 14. Plan ahead and do not wait until the last moment.

Security Deposit: How Much You Must Pay and When
Before you can participate in this round, you must deposit a security amount online through the admission portal. This is NOT a fee—it is a refundable deposit that will be adjusted against your tuition fee if you join, or returned to you if you are not allotted a seat. However, if you are allotted a seat and do not join, or if you provide false information, this amount is forfeited.
The security deposit amount depends on which colleges you want to apply for: If you want to apply ONLY for State Quota seats in government or government-aided medical/dental colleges, deposit Rs. 10,000 (or Rs. 5,000 if you belong to SC/SCD/BCA/BCB/EWS/PWBD category of Haryana State). If you want to also apply for State Quota or Management Quota seats in private medical colleges or private universities, deposit Rs. 5,00,000 (5 lakh rupees). You must deposit this amount by 14 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. Failure to deposit will make you ineligible to participate in this round.
Important: If you deposited security in an earlier round (Round 2, 3, or Stray Round 1) but were not allotted a seat, do NOT deposit again for this Special Stray Round. Your earlier deposit will be returned after counselling ends, and you can use that amount if you participate in any future round.
- Government/Government-Aided colleges only: Rs. 10,000 (Rs. 5,000 for SC/SCD/BCA/BCB/EWS/PWBD of Haryana)
- Government/Government-Aided + Private colleges/universities: Rs. 5,00,000
- Deposit deadline: 14 November 2026, 5:00 PM (online portal only)
- If you join a seat: deposit is adjusted against first-year tuition fee
- If you are not allotted a seat: deposit is returned after counselling ends
- If you are allotted but do not join: deposit is forfeited, and you lose eligibility for future rounds
- If you deposited in an earlier round but were not allotted: do NOT deposit again
How to Register and Submit Your Choices
Registration and choice submission happen online at https://uhsrugcounselling.com from 3 November to 7 November 2026 (11:59 PM). If you registered in any earlier round (Round 1, 2, 3, or Stray Round 1), you do NOT register again—simply log in with your existing username and password. If you are registering for the first time, create a new account on the portal.
Once logged in, you can edit any information you submitted in earlier rounds (name, category, domicile, etc.). After editing, you must submit your choices of colleges and courses. You can rank colleges in order of preference—the system will allocate you the highest-ranked college for which you are eligible based on your NEET score and category. After submitting your choices, you must lock them on the portal. Once locked, you cannot change them, so review carefully before locking.
Critically important: All choices you submitted in Round 1, 2, 3, or Stray Round 1 are now null and void. You must fill fresh choices for this Special Stray Round. The system will not carry forward your earlier preferences.

Provisional Allocation and Grievance Redressal
On 10 November 2026, the system will announce a provisional allocation of seats based on your NEET score, category, and choice ranking. You will see which college and course you have been allotted (if any). This allocation is provisional—it is not final until you complete document verification.
If you believe there is an error in the allocation (for example, you were allotted a lower-ranked choice when a higher-ranked one should have been available, or your category was wrongly applied), you can file a grievance on the provisional allocation list on 10 November itself. The university will review grievances and update the allocation list after redressal. Check the portal on 10 November to see if your grievance was accepted and if your allocation changed.
If you are not allotted any seat in this round, your security deposit will be returned after the entire counselling process ends. You will not be eligible for any further rounds unless the university announces additional rounds.
- Provisional allocation announced: 10 November 2026
- Check the portal to see your allotted college and course
- File grievances on 10 November if you believe the allocation is wrong
- University reviews and updates allocation list after grievance redressal
- If not allotted: security deposit returned after counselling ends
- Allocation is provisional until document verification is complete
Depositing the Provisional Tuition Fee
After the provisional allocation is announced on 10 November, you must deposit the provisional tuition fee online through the admission portal between 10 November and 14 November 2026 (by 5:00 PM). This fee is separate from the security deposit you paid earlier. The exact amount will be shown on the portal once you log in and view your allotted college and course.
You MUST deposit this fee to be eligible for document verification. If you do not deposit by 5:00 PM on 14 November, you will not be called for document verification, and your provisional allocation will be cancelled. The fee must be paid online through the portal only—no other payment method is accepted.
If you are not allotted a seat, you do not need to deposit this fee. Your security deposit will be returned after counselling ends.
- Deposit window: 10 November to 14 November 2026 (by 5:00 PM)
- Amount: shown on portal after allocation; varies by college and course
- Method: online through admission portal only
- Mandatory to proceed to document verification
- Failure to deposit by 5:00 PM on 14 Nov = cancellation of allocation
- Not required if you are not allotted a seat
Document Verification: What to Bring and Where to Go
On 15 November 2026, you must attend physical document verification at Sushruta Auditorium, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. You are eligible to attend only if: (1) you were allotted a seat on 10 November, and (2) you successfully deposited the provisional tuition fee by 5:00 PM on 14 November. Bring all original documents and one set of photocopies.
At document verification, the university will check that your documents match the information you submitted during registration. If any document is missing, invalid, or does not match your registration details, your allocation will be cancelled and your security deposit will be forfeited. Common reasons for cancellation include: providing a false category certificate, submitting a domicile certificate issued before the required date, missing or invalid NEET admit card, or providing false information about your educational qualifications.
After document verification is complete and your documents are approved, you will receive confirmation. You must then join your allotted college by 4:00 PM on 16 November 2026. If you do not join by this deadline, your seat will be cancelled, your security deposit will be forfeited, and you will lose eligibility for any future rounds.
- Date: 15 November 2026
- Location: Sushruta Auditorium, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak
- Eligible only if: allotted a seat AND deposited provisional fee by 5:00 PM on 14 Nov
- Bring: all original documents + one set of photocopies
- University verifies documents match registration information
- Missing or invalid documents = allocation cancelled, security deposit forfeited
- After approval, you must join your college by 4:00 PM on 16 November
Joining Your Allotted College: Final Deadline
The last date to join your allotted college is 16 November 2026 at 4:00 PM. You must physically report to your allotted college by this time with all required documents. If you do not join by 4:00 PM on 16 November, your seat will be cancelled immediately, and you will forfeit your security deposit. You will also lose eligibility for any future counselling rounds, even if the university announces additional rounds.
Joining means reporting to the college, submitting your original documents, and completing the admission formalities as instructed by the college. Simply attending document verification is not the same as joining—you must complete the full admission process at your allotted college.
- Deadline: 16 November 2026, 4:00 PM
- You must physically report to your allotted college
- Bring all original documents
- Complete admission formalities as instructed by the college
- Missing this deadline = seat cancelled, security deposit forfeited, ineligible for future rounds
- Document verification alone does not count as joining
Critical Eligibility Restrictions: Who Cannot Participate
Even if you have a valid NEET score, you are permanently ineligible for this Special Stray Round if any of the following apply: (1) You were allotted a seat in Round 3 or the first Stray Round, regardless of whether you joined or not. (2) You have already joined any seat allotted to you in any earlier round through All India Counselling or any state counselling. Resignation from that seat does not restore your eligibility—once you join, you are out of the system. (3) You are a candidate who has already secured admission to an MBBS or BDS course in any other state or through any other counselling process.
Every kind of MBBS/BDS seat, one rank
See the real seats your NEET rank can reach.
These restrictions are absolute and cannot be waived. If you fall into any of these categories and attempt to register, your registration will be rejected during document verification, and your security deposit will be forfeited.
- Allotted a seat in Round 3 or Stray Round 1 (even if not joined) = ineligible
- Already joined any seat in any earlier round = ineligible (resignation does not help)
- Already secured admission in another state or counselling = ineligible
- These restrictions are permanent and cannot be waived
Seat Reversion and Category Conversion Rules
Haryana follows a specific policy for vacant seats. After the merit list for reserved categories (SC, SCD, BCA, BCB, EWS, PWBD) is exhausted, any remaining vacant seats in those categories are converted back to their original category and filled by merit. For example, a BC-A seat that remains vacant may be converted to BC-B, and if still vacant, to Unreserved (UR). This conversion happens automatically by the system.
In this Special Stray Round, if a seat falls vacant after earlier rounds, it will first be offered to candidates of the original category from the previous round. If no eligible candidate accepts it, the seat is filled according to the conversion rules described above. This means you may be allotted a seat in a different category than you applied for, depending on merit and availability.
- Vacant reserved-category seats are converted back to original category and filled by merit
- Example: BC-A → BC-B → UR
- Conversion happens automatically; you may be allotted a different category seat
- Seats are first offered to original-category candidates from previous rounds
- Then filled by merit conversion if still vacant
What Happens to Your Security Deposit
Your security deposit is handled as follows: (1) If you join a seat allotted to you, the security deposit is adjusted (deducted) from your first-year tuition fee. You do not get it back as cash. (2) If you are allotted a seat but do not join by 4:00 PM on 16 November, the security deposit is forfeited—you lose it completely, and you become ineligible for any future rounds. (3) If you are not allotted any seat in this round, your security deposit is returned to you after the entire counselling process ends (usually within 2–3 weeks). (4) If you provide false information during registration and your allocation is cancelled during document verification, your security deposit is forfeited.
If you deposited security in an earlier round (Round 2, 3, or Stray Round 1) but were not allotted a seat, that deposit will be returned separately. Do not deposit again for this Special Stray Round—you are not required to, and doing so will result in duplicate deposits.
- Joined a seat: deposit adjusted against first-year tuition fee
- Allotted but did not join: deposit forfeited, ineligible for future rounds
- Not allotted: deposit returned after counselling ends
- False information provided: deposit forfeited
- Earlier deposits from Round 2/3/Stray Round 1: returned separately; do not deposit again

Common Mistakes That Get Your Application Rejected
Providing false information during registration is the most common reason for rejection. If you claim a category (SC, SCD, BCA, BCB, EWS, PWBD) that you are not entitled to, or if you claim Haryana domicile when you do not have it, your allocation will be cancelled during document verification, and your security deposit will be forfeited. Always provide accurate information.
Submitting an invalid or expired category certificate is another frequent cause of rejection. Your SC/SCD/BCA/BCB/EWS/PWBD certificate must be issued by the competent authority and must be valid as of the date of document verification (15 November 2026). If your certificate is expired or does not meet the government's specifications, it will be rejected. Similarly, your domicile certificate must be issued on or after a date specified by the government (check the portal for the exact date).
Missing documents at document verification will result in rejection. Bring all original documents: NEET admit card, NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate (if applicable), and any other documents listed on the portal. Photocopies alone are not sufficient—originals must be presented.
Not depositing the provisional tuition fee by 5:00 PM on 14 November will disqualify you from document verification. Even if you were allotted a seat, you will not be called for verification, and your allocation will be cancelled.
Not joining by 4:00 PM on 16 November will result in forfeiture of your seat and security deposit. There are no extensions or exceptions.
- False information (category, domicile, qualifications) = allocation cancelled, deposit forfeited
- Invalid or expired category certificate = rejected during document verification
- Domicile certificate issued before the required date = rejected
- Missing original documents = rejected (photocopies alone not sufficient)
- Failure to deposit provisional fee by 5:00 PM on 14 Nov = disqualified from verification
- Failure to join by 4:00 PM on 16 Nov = seat cancelled, deposit forfeited, ineligible for future rounds
- Providing wrong information that leads to wrong seat allotment = allocation cancelled, deposit forfeited
