What is the Competent Authority Quota?
The Competent Authority Quota (CAQ) refers to MBBS and BDS seats that the Telangana state government fills through its own counselling process. These seats are typically reserved for candidates who meet the state's domicile and other eligibility criteria. They are separate from the All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
What is the mop-up phase of counselling?
The mop-up phase is the final round of counselling conducted after the main and subsequent rounds. It is used to fill any seats that remain vacant after earlier rounds. If you did not get a seat in the main or subsequent rounds, you may participate in the mop-up phase. This is typically the last opportunity to secure a seat in that admission cycle.
How do I know if I have been allotted a seat?
Check the college-wise allotment list published by KNRUHS. Find your name or registration number in the document. If your name appears, you have been allotted a seat; the list will show which college and seat category you have been assigned. If your name does not appear, you have not been allotted a seat in this phase.
What should I do if I have been allotted a seat?
Once you confirm your allotment, wait for KNRUHS to announce the reporting date and admission formalities. You must report to your allotted college within the specified time frame with all required original documents and pay the admission fee. Failure to report on time will result in forfeiture of your seat.
What if I don't see my name in the allotment list?
If your name does not appear in the mop-up phase allotment list, it means you have not been allotted a seat in this round. Since the mop-up phase is typically the final round, you may not have another opportunity to secure a seat in this admission cycle. Contact KNRUHS if you believe there is an error.
Is this allotment final?
Yes, the allotment published in the mop-up phase is typically final for that round. However, candidates may still have the option to report or not report to their allotted college. If you do not report within the specified time, your seat will be forfeited and may be offered to another candidate on the waiting list.
Can I change my allotted college or seat?
The allotment list shows the seat you have been assigned based on your merit rank, category, and choices. You cannot change your allotment after it has been published. However, after joining, some colleges may allow internal transfers or seat adjustments as per their policies — check with your college.
Where can I find the complete allotment list?

Typically, you will need to bring your original NEET admit card, merit list printout, allotment letter, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, and other documents as specified. Check the KNRUHS website for the complete list.
