Unlock My College ListWhat Is This Allotment List?
This is the final seat allocation list for the 3rd round of NEET UG 2026 counselling conducted by AMRU, Himachal Pradesh. The list is system-generated based on your NEET rank, your choices during counselling, and the availability of seats in your applied quota and category. Each candidate on this list has been assigned a specific seat at a specific college in a specific course (MBBS or BDS).
This allotment is provisional—it does not guarantee admission. Your final admission depends on verification of your eligibility and category claim by the Admission Committee of your allotted college. If any of your certificates are invalid, outdated, or in the wrong format, or if you fail to submit required documents, you may lose your seat and your category benefit.
Who Has Been Allotted Seats?
177 candidates have been allotted seats in this 3rd round. The allotment includes candidates who applied under HP Quota (state seats), NRI Quota (Non-Resident Indian seats), and Management Quota (private college seats). Candidates have been allotted seats across the following colleges: Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital Nerchowk Mandi, Dr Radhakrishanan Government Medical College Hamirpur, Dr Yashwant Parmar Government Medical College Nahan Sirmour, Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College and Hospital Chamba, Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College Kumarhatti District Solan, H.P Government Dental College and Hospital Shimla, Bhojia Dental College and Hospital Nalagarh, Himachal Dental College Sunder Nagar, and Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences Paonta Sahib Sirmour.
To check if you have been allotted a seat, search for your name in the allotment list provided in this notice. The list shows your merit number, application number, name, allotted college, allotted course (MBBS or BDS), applied quota, applied category, allotted quota, and allotted category.
Critical Deadline: Report by 17 October 2026
If your name appears on the allotment list, you must report to your allotted college on or before 17 October 2026. This is a hard deadline. Reporting means physically visiting your college with your allotment letter and required documents to complete the admission formalities. Do not delay—if you do not report by this date, your seat will be cancelled and offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.
Before you go to the college, download your provisional allotment letter from your AMRU candidate login. You will need this letter to complete admission. The notice explicitly states: 'Admission will not be considered without seat allocation of AMRU.' This means your college will not admit you unless you have an official AMRU allotment letter.
- Reporting deadline: on or before 17 October 2026
- Download your allotment letter from your AMRU login before visiting the college
- Bring your allotment letter and all required documents to the college
- Failure to report by the deadline will result in cancellation of your seat
Category and Quota Verification: The Most Important Trap
This is where many candidates lose their seats. If you applied for a reserved category (OBC, SC, ST, EWS, Widows/Wards of Ex-Servicemen, Single Girl Child, Backward Area, Physically Handicapped, or Wards/Wives of Defence Personnel), you must ensure that all your category certificates are valid, updated, and in the exact format specified in the AMRU Prospectus. If your certificate is outdated, invalid, or in the wrong format, you will NOT be entitled to claim the benefit of that category, even if you were allotted a seat under it.
The notice is very clear: 'In case of any discrepancy, outdated/invalid certificate, or non-submission of the prescribed document, the candidate shall not be entitled to claim the benefit of the respective category/quota.' This means if your SC certificate is issued before a certain date, or if it does not show the required sub-group, or if it is not on the prescribed form, the college's Admission Committee can reject your category claim. You will then be treated as a General candidate, and your seat may be cancelled if a General candidate with a higher rank is waiting.

Quotas and Categories in This Allotment
Candidates in this allotment have been allotted seats under three main quotas: HP Quota (Himachal Pradesh state seats), NRI Quota (Non-Resident Indian seats), and Management Quota (private college seats). Within each quota, candidates may have applied under various categories.
HP Quota seats are reserved for candidates who are domiciled in Himachal Pradesh or meet the state's eligibility criteria. Within HP Quota, candidates can apply under General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, Widows/Wards of Ex-Servicemen, Single Girl Child, Backward Area, Physically Handicapped, or Wards/Wives of Defence Personnel categories. NRI Quota seats are for Non-Resident Indians and are typically filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Management Quota seats are at private colleges and are filled by the college's own management, often at higher fees.
Important: Some candidates applied under one category but have been allotted under a different category. For example, a candidate who applied under OBC category may have been allotted under General category if the OBC seats were exhausted or if the candidate's rank did not qualify for OBC seats. Check your 'Applied Category' and 'Allotted Category' columns carefully. If they differ, it means you did not get the category benefit you applied for.
- HP Quota: state seats for Himachal Pradesh domiciled candidates
- NRI Quota: seats for Non-Resident Indians
- Management Quota: private college seats
- Categories: General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, Widows/Wards of Ex-Servicemen, Single Girl Child, Backward Area, Physically Handicapped, Wards/Wives of Defence Personnel

What Happens After You Report to the College
Once you report to your allotted college with your allotment letter and documents, the college's Admission Committee will verify your eligibility and category claim. This is the final stage of admission. The committee will check whether your certificates are valid, whether you meet the eligibility criteria for your category, and whether all required documents have been submitted in the correct format.
If the committee finds any discrepancy, outdated certificate, or missing document, it can reject your category claim or even reject your admission. The notice states: 'Provisional allotment of a seat, if any, shall not confer any right of admission, and the final eligibility/category claim shall be subject to verification and approval by the Admission Committee of the concerned Institute.' This means your allotment is not final until the committee approves it. If the committee rejects your category claim, you will lose your seat and any category benefit, even if you were allotted under that category.
After verification, if you are approved, you will be asked to pay the admission fee and complete the remaining formalities (hostel registration, course registration, etc.). The college will provide you with a formal admission letter and your roll number. You will then be enrolled as a student of that college.
- The Admission Committee will verify your eligibility and category claim
- If any certificate is invalid or outdated, your category claim may be rejected
- If your category claim is rejected, you may lose your seat
- If you are approved, you will pay the admission fee and complete formalities
- You will receive a formal admission letter and roll number
Important Notes on Provisional Allotment
The notice emphasizes that this allotment is provisional. A provisional allotment does not guarantee admission. It is only an offer of a seat, subject to verification of your eligibility and category claim by the college's Admission Committee. Many candidates have been allotted seats in the past only to lose them because their certificates were invalid or outdated.
Do not assume that because you have been allotted a seat, you are admitted. You are admitted only after the Admission Committee verifies your documents and approves your category claim. Until then, your seat can be cancelled. This is why it is critical to ensure that all your certificates are valid, updated, and in the prescribed format before you report to the college.
- Allotment is provisional, not final
- Final admission depends on verification by the Admission Committee
- Invalid or outdated certificates can result in cancellation of your seat
- Get your certificates verified and updated before reporting to the college

See My CollegesFrequently asked questions
What does 'provisional allotment' mean? Does it guarantee my admission?
No. Provisional allotment is only an offer of a seat, not a guarantee of admission. Your final admission depends on verification of your eligibility and category claim by the Admission Committee of your allotted college. If your certificates are invalid, outdated, or in the wrong format, the committee can reject your category claim and cancel your seat. You are admitted only after the committee approves your documents.
What is the deadline to report to my allotted college?
You must report to your allotted college on or before 17 October 2026. This is a hard deadline. If you do not report by this date, your seat will be cancelled and offered to the next candidate on the waiting list. Reporting means physically visiting the college with your allotment letter and required documents to complete admission formalities.
I applied for OBC category but my allotment shows 'General' category. What does this mean?
This means you were not allotted a seat under OBC category. Either OBC seats were exhausted, or your NEET rank did not qualify for OBC seats. You have been allotted a seat under General category instead. You will not receive any category benefit and will be treated as a General candidate. Your fees and eligibility will be based on General category rules.
What documents must I bring to the college when I report?
You must bring: (1) your provisional allotment letter, (2) NEET admit card and score card, (3) 10th and 12th certificates, (4) category certificate (if applicable, in prescribed format), (5) domicile certificate (if applicable), (6) caste certificate (if SC/ST/OBC), (7) EWS certificate (if applicable), (8) disability certificate (if applicable), (9) ex-serviceman or widow certificate (if applicable), (10) single girl child certificate (if applicable), (11) backward area certificate (if applicable), (12) defence personnel certificate (if applicable), (13) passport and visa (if NRI), (14) medical fitness certificate, and (15) character certificate. Refer to the AMRU Prospectus for the exact list and format required.
My category certificate is old. Will it be accepted?
Not necessarily. The notice states that certificates must be 'valid, updated and in the prescribed format as specified in the Prospectus.' If your certificate is outdated or does not meet the prescribed format, the Admission Committee can reject it. You will then lose your category benefit and be treated as a General candidate. Get your certificate verified and updated before 17 October 2026 if needed.
I have been allotted a seat under Management Quota. What does this mean?
Management Quota seats are at private colleges and are filled by the college's own management. These seats typically have higher fees than government college seats. Check with your allotted college for the exact fee structure and admission process. Management Quota seats are not subsidized by the government.
What if I don't download my allotment letter before going to the college?
The notice explicitly states: 'Admission will not be considered without seat allocation of AMRU.' This means your college will not admit you unless you have an official AMRU allotment letter. Download your letter from your AMRU login before visiting the college. Do not go to the college without it.
I am an NRI candidate. What is different about my admission process?
NRI candidates have been allotted seats under NRI Quota. You will need to bring your passport and visa along with other documents. NRI seats are typically filled on a first-come, first-served basis and may have different fee structures. Contact your allotted college for specific NRI admission procedures and fee details.
What happens if the Admission Committee rejects my category claim?
If the committee finds that your category certificate is invalid, outdated, or in the wrong format, it can reject your category claim. You will then be treated as a General candidate. If a General candidate with a higher rank is waiting for a seat, your seat may be cancelled and offered to that candidate. This is why it is critical to ensure your certificates are valid and in the prescribed format before reporting to the college.
Can I change my allotted college or course?
The notice does not mention any provision for changing your allotted college or course. This is the final allotment for the 3rd round. If you are not satisfied with your allotment, you may contact AMRU to inquire about any options, but there is no guarantee of a change. It is best to report to your allotted college as instructed.
What if I miss the 17 October reporting deadline?
If you do not report by 17 October 2026, your seat will be cancelled. The notice is clear: 'Candidates are required to report at their respective allotted institutes on or before 17.10.2026.' There is no extension or grace period mentioned. Once your seat is cancelled, it will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.
How do I know if I have been allotted a seat?
Search for your name in the allotment list provided in this notice. The list shows your merit number, application number, name, allotted college, allotted course, applied quota, applied category, allotted quota, and allotted category. If your name is on the list, you have been allotted a seat. If your name is not on the list, you have not been allotted in this round.
If your name appears on the allotment list, download your provisional allotment letter from your AMRU login immediately and report to your allotted college on or before 17 October 2026 with all required documents. Before you go, verify that all your category certificates are valid, updated, and in the prescribed format specified in the AMRU Prospectus—invalid certificates will result in loss of your seat. Contact AMRU at coemedicaluniv.mandi@gmail.com or 01905-243967 if you have any questions. Do not delay—the deadline is firm, and seats will be cancelled for candidates who do not report on time.
