Importantly, there are three specific eligibility rules that determine who can participate in this second phase:
1. **If you were allotted a seat in the first phase but did not report or discontinued the course**, you are NOT eligible to exercise web options in this phase.
2. **If you did not exercise web options in the first phase**, you are NOT eligible to exercise web options in this second phase. This rule prevents seat blocking — the university wants to ensure that candidates who had a chance to choose in round one do not get another chance in round two.
3. **If you were allotted a BDS seat in the first phase, joined the course, and are continuing**, you ARE eligible to exercise web options in this second phase. This allows students already admitted to upgrade to a better college if they wish.

The web options window is very short — only 2 days and 9 hours. Mark these dates on your calendar:

You must submit your web options within this window. The portal will close at 11:00 AM on 18 September, and no options will be accepted after that time. There is no extension. If you miss this deadline, you cannot participate in this phase and will not be eligible for later phases either.

How to exercise web options: Step-by-step process
The process is entirely online. You do not need to visit any college or office. Follow these steps carefully:
**Step 1: Log in to the portal.** Go to https://tsbdsadm.tsche.in/ using any computer with internet access. Log in with your credentials (registration number and password from your original NEET counselling registration).
**Step 2: Review the seat matrix.** Before you choose, check the seat matrix on http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in to see which colleges have vacant BDS seats. However, note that vacancies will change during counselling as other candidates slide from their first-phase seats, so do not let the current seat matrix discourage you — apply for colleges you are genuinely interested in.
**Step 3: Rank your colleges.** You can exercise web options for **any number of colleges** you are interested in. There is no limit on the number of choices. Rank them in order of your preference — the system will allot you the highest-ranked college for which you are eligible and where a seat becomes available. If you are not interested in a college, do not rank it.
**Step 4: Save your options.** After ranking, save your choices. You will receive a one-time password (OTP) — a 6-letter code in English capital letters (A–Z) — on your registered mobile number. Use this to confirm your options.
**Step 5: Print your saved options.** After saving, take a printout of your options for your records. This is important in case there is any dispute later.

University fee and payment process
If you are allotted a seat in this phase, you must pay the university fee to download your allotment order and complete the admission process.
**University Fee: ₹12,000 (Rupees Twelve Thousand only)**
This fee is mandatory for all allotted candidates. You must pay it online through the payment gateway using one of these methods:

**How to pay:** After you are allotted a seat, log in to the portal and pay the fee online. Once payment is successful, you can download your allotment order from the website.

The university will verify and refund the duplicate amount to your bank account after admissions close. **For Government Dental College & Hospital, Hyderabad:** Tuition fee is as notified on the college website. Check the college website for the exact amount.
**For Private Dental Colleges:** Tuition fee is as per Government Order (G.O.) Ms. No. 98, Health, Medical and Family Welfare (C1) Department, dated 07.08.2026. Each private college will inform you of the exact fee amount.
You must pay the tuition fee to the college at the time of joining (reporting to the Principal). This fee is in addition to the ₹12,000 university fee paid to KNRUHS.

Critical trap: What happens if you do not join after being allotted?
This is the most important rule to understand. If you are allotted a seat in this second phase and you do not join the course at the allotted college, you will be **permanently blocked from all future phases of counselling**. You will not be able to exercise web options in any subsequent round.
**The rule:** 'If a candidate is allotted a seat in BDS course as per his/her options and does not join the course, they shall not be permitted to exercise web options in the subsequent phases of counselling to prevent seat blocking.'
This means: if you exercise web options, get allotted, pay the university fee, download the allotment order, but then decide not to join the college, you are done. You cannot try again in later phases. The university does this to prevent candidates from blocking seats while waiting for better options.
**What you must do:** Only exercise web options for colleges you are genuinely willing to join. If you are allotted a seat, you must report to the Principal of that college before the joining date specified on your allotment order, submit all original certificates, relevant bonds, and pay the tuition fee. If you do not do this by the deadline, your admission will be cancelled automatically and you will be ineligible for further phases.

Sliding: Upgrading from your first-phase college to a better college
If you were allotted a seat in the first phase and joined a college, you can now try to 'slide' to a better college in this second phase by exercising new web options.
**How sliding works:** If you are allotted a seat in this second phase at a different college, your first-phase allotment will be automatically cancelled and that seat will be given to another candidate. You must then get relieved from your first college, collect all your original certificates and any tuition fee paid, and report to the Principal of your new allotted college before the joining deadline.
**Important warning:** Exercise web options for sliding carefully. If you slide to a new college but then do not join that new college, you will be blocked from all future phases. So only slide if you are certain you want to move.
**If you do not join the new college:** You will not be eligible for any further phases of counselling. Your first-phase college seat will have been cancelled, and you will have no seat anywhere.

Certificate verification and allotment cancellation
Your allotment is provisional until your original certificates are verified at the college.
**Final verification:** When you report to the college, the Principal will verify all your original certificates (NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, caste certificate if applicable, etc.) against the copies you submitted during registration.
**If there is a discrepancy:** If any certificate does not match what you submitted online, or if any certificate is found to be forged or invalid, your provisional allotment will be cancelled immediately. The university may also initiate action against you as per its regulations.
**Original certificates are not returned:** Once you submit your original certificates at the college, they will not be returned to you unless you discontinue the course later. So keep photocopies for your records.

Vacancies will open up as other candidates slide, so apply for colleges you want even if they currently show no seats.
What happens if I am allotted a seat but do not join the college?
