Bihar's medical counselling board (BCECEB) has extended the application and choice-filling deadlines for Round-2 of UGMAC-2026 counselling. The reason: a new private medical college, Mamta Medical College and Hospital in Siwan district, has been added to the list of colleges. This means more MBBS and BDS seats are now available, and the board has pushed back key dates to give all eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates time to apply and select their choices. If you qualified NEET UG 2026 and are applying for MBBS or BDS in Bihar, you must act immediately — the new application deadline is 18 September 2026 at 11:59 pm.

Application and choice-filling deadlines for Bihar UGMAC Round-2 have been extended to 18 September 2026 (11:59 pm) following the addition of Mamta Medical College; seat allotment will be published on 25 September.

BCECEB — Notice for Extension of Date for filling online application form and choice filling for Round-2 of UGMAC-2026 (Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/08 Dated 17.09.2026)Official PDF notice published by BCECEB. Always confirm details against the official document.

What Has Changed: New College Added

On 17 September 2026, Bihar's Health Department officially recognised a new private medical college: Mamta Medical College and Hospital, located in Chintamanpur, Dharaundha, Siwan district. This college will now participate in the state-quota NEET UG counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions.

Because a new college has been added, the total number of available seats has increased. The board has therefore updated the seat matrix (the official list showing how many MBBS and BDS seats each college has) and posted it on the BCECEB website. This updated seat matrix is now live and reflects all colleges, including Mamta Medical College.

To give candidates time to see the new college and apply if they wish, the board has extended the application and choice-filling deadlines. All other terms and conditions of Round-2 counselling remain unchanged.

Who Is Eligible to Apply

You are eligible to apply for Round-2 UGMAC-2026 counselling if you have qualified the NEET UG 2026 exam. The notice does not specify a minimum score or rank — eligibility is based on having appeared and qualified NEET UG 2026.

The counselling is open for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges, as well as private medical and dental colleges in Bihar. (The notice also mentions B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc., but these are outside the scope of NEET UG MBBS/BDS counselling and are not covered here.)

If you have already submitted your application form in an earlier round, you may still participate in Round-2 by giving consent and paying any applicable fee by 18 September 2026 at 10:00 pm. If you have not yet applied, you must register and submit your application form by 18 September 2026 at 11:59 pm.

Important Dates for Round-2 Counselling

The board has released a new schedule for Round-2 counselling. All dates below are final and have been extended from the original schedule. Mark these dates in your calendar — missing any deadline will result in your application being rejected or your seat being forfeited.

The application window is very tight: you have until 18 September 2026 at 11:59 pm to register, submit your application form, and pay the fee. After that, the portal will close. If you have already applied in an earlier round, you must confirm your participation (give consent) by 18 September 2026 at 10:00 pm.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Process

To apply for Round-2 counselling, you must go to the BCECEB website (bceceboard.bihar.gov.in) and log in with your NEET UG 2026 credentials. The application process involves three main steps: registration, submission of the application form with payment, and choice filling.

Step 1 — Register: If you have not already registered, create an account on the UGMAC portal using your NEET roll number and other required details. Step 2 — Submit Application Form: Fill in your personal, educational, and category details. You must pay the application fee at this stage using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The notice does not specify the fee amount — check the BCECEB website or contact the helpdesk for this information. Step 3 — Fill Your Choices: After your application is submitted and the Rank Card is published (20 September), you will be able to view the updated seat matrix and fill your choice of colleges and courses. You can edit your choices until 21 September 2026 at 11:59 pm. Once you lock your choices, you cannot change them.

If you have already submitted your application in an earlier round, you do not need to re-apply. Instead, you must give consent for Round-2 participation and pay any additional fee (if applicable) by 18 September 2026 at 10:00 pm. You will then be able to edit your choices for Round-2 by 21 September 2026 at 11:59 pm.

  • Go to bceceboard.bihar.gov.in
  • Log in with your NEET UG 2026 credentials
  • Register (if new) or log in (if already registered)
  • Fill and submit your application form
  • Pay the fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI
  • Wait for Rank Card publication (20 September)
  • View the updated seat matrix and fill your college and course choices
  • Lock your choices by 21 September 2026 at 11:59 pm
  • Download your Provisional Seat Allotment order (25-29 September)
  • Attend document verification and admission (27-29 September)

Payment Methods and Fee

You can pay the application fee using any of the following methods: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The payment must be made at the time of submitting your application form. The notice does not specify the exact fee amount — you will see this on the portal when you proceed to payment.

Payment must be completed by 18 September 2026 at 11:59 pm. If you do not pay by this deadline, your application will not be submitted and you will not be eligible for Round-2 counselling. If you have already applied in an earlier round and are giving consent for Round-2, any additional payment (if required) must be made by 18 September 2026 at 10:00 pm.

Choice Filling: How to Select Your Colleges and Courses

After your application is submitted and the Rank Card is published on 20 September 2026, you will be able to access the updated seat matrix and fill your choices. The seat matrix shows all available MBBS and BDS seats at each government and private medical and dental college in Bihar, including the newly added Mamta Medical College.

You can fill multiple choices in order of preference. The counselling system will allocate you a seat based on your rank, the choices you have filled, and the availability of seats. You can edit your choices as many times as you want until 21 September 2026 at 11:59 pm. After you lock your choices at 11:59 pm on 21 September, you cannot make any changes.

It is important to fill your choices carefully. Think about which colleges and courses you prefer, and list them in order. The system will try to give you the highest-ranked choice available to you. If that is not available, it will move to your next choice, and so on. If you do not fill any choices, you will not be considered for any seat.

  • Log in to the UGMAC portal after 20 September 2026
  • View the updated seat matrix showing all colleges and available seats
  • Select your preferred colleges and courses in order of preference
  • You can edit your choices multiple times until 21 September 2026 at 11:59 pm
  • Lock your choices by 11:59 pm on 21 September — after this, no changes are allowed
  • Keep a record of your locked choices for reference

Seat Allotment and Results

The board will process all applications and choices and publish the Round-2 Provisional Seat Allotment Result on 25 September 2026. This result will show which college and course you have been allotted, based on your rank, choices, and seat availability.

On the same day (25 September), you will be able to download your Provisional Seat Allotment order from the BCECEB website. You have until 29 September 2026 to download this order. Keep a copy for your records — you will need it during document verification and admission.

The allotment is provisional, meaning it is not final until you have completed document verification and been formally admitted. If you do not attend document verification by 29 September 2026, your seat may be cancelled and offered to another candidate.

Document Verification and Admission

After the Provisional Seat Allotment Result is published on 25 September, you must attend document verification at your allotted college between 27 September and 29 September 2026. At this stage, the college will verify that all your documents are genuine and that you meet the eligibility criteria for admission.

The notice does not specify which documents you must bring, but typically these include: your NEET UG 2026 admit card and score card, 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, your category certificate (if applicable), your Provisional Seat Allotment order, and any other documents mentioned in the counselling prospectus. Check the BCECEB website or the prospectus for the complete list of required documents.

If your documents are verified successfully, you will be formally admitted to the college. If any document is missing or found to be invalid, your admission may be cancelled. It is your responsibility to ensure that all documents are in order and that you attend verification on time.

  • Attend document verification at your allotted college between 27-29 September 2026
  • Bring your NEET UG 2026 admit card and score card
  • Bring your 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets
  • Bring your category certificate (if applicable)
  • Bring your Provisional Seat Allotment order
  • Bring any other documents mentioned in the counselling prospectus
  • Ensure all documents are original or certified copies as required
  • Do not miss the verification deadline — your seat may be cancelled

Mamta Medical College: The New College

Mamta Medical College and Hospital is a newly recognised private medical college located in Chintamanpur, Dharaundha, Siwan district, Bihar. It has been officially added to the list of colleges participating in UGMAC-2026 Round-2 counselling as of 17 September 2026.

The exact number of MBBS and BDS seats available at Mamta Medical College is shown in the updated seat matrix on the BCECEB website. If you are interested in studying at this college, you can include it in your choice list during choice filling (after 20 September 2026). Your eligibility for a seat at this college will depend on your NEET UG 2026 rank and the cutoff score for that college.

Common Mistakes That Get Applications Rejected

Missing the application deadline: The last date to submit your application form and pay the fee is 18 September 2026 at 11:59 pm. If you submit even one minute after this time, your application will be rejected. Do not wait until the last moment — apply at least a few hours before the deadline.

Not paying the fee: Your application is not complete until you have paid the fee. If you fill the form but do not pay, your application will not be submitted. Make sure you complete the payment step before the deadline.

Not locking your choices: After you fill your choices, you must lock them by 21 September 2026 at 11:59 pm. If you do not lock your choices, the system may not consider them for allotment. Lock your choices as soon as you are sure about them.

Not attending document verification: Even if you are allotted a seat, you must attend document verification between 27-29 September 2026. If you do not show up, your seat will be cancelled. Mark these dates in your calendar and plan to be present.

Bringing incomplete or invalid documents: Make sure all your documents are genuine, original or properly certified, and issued by the correct authority. If any document is found to be invalid or missing, your admission will be cancelled. Check the prospectus for the exact list of required documents and bring everything.
