What is this allotment list?

This is the provisional allotment list for candidates who applied under the PWD (Persons with Disability) category in the Government Quota stream of NEET PG 2026-27 counselling in Tamil Nadu. The list shows 12 candidates who have been allotted seats based on their merit rank, community category (OC, BC, SC, MBC&DNC), and their choices of specialty and college.

The allotment was done on 31 October 2026. The list is marked 'provisional' because it is subject to verification of your original documents, eligibility, and disability certificate. If there are any errors or if you do not meet the eligibility criteria, your allotment may be cancelled or modified after verification.

Who is eligible for PWD quota?

To be eligible for the PWD (Persons with Disability) category quota, you must have a valid disability certificate issued by a competent authority (usually a government medical board or civil surgeon). The disability must be recognized under the Persons with Disabilities Act. The certificate must clearly state the type and percentage of disability.

You must also be an MBBS graduate with a valid NEET PG 2026 score and must have applied specifically for the PWD category during the choice-filling process. The PWD quota is separate from the general, OBC, SC, and ST quotas and is reserved for eligible candidates with disabilities.

  • Valid disability certificate from a competent authority
  • MBBS degree (post-MBBS qualification)
  • Valid NEET PG 2026 score
  • Applied for PWD category during choice-filling
  • Disability percentage as per government norms

Understanding the allotment list columns

The list shows the following information for each allotted candidate: SNO (serial number), GRANK (general rank in NEET PG 2026), ARNO (application registration number), NAME (candidate's name), COMMUNITY (OC = Open Category, BC = Backward Caste, SC = Scheduled Caste, MBC&DNC = Most Backward Caste & Denotified Community), SERVICE (shown only for service quota candidates), T.MARK (total marks scored in NEET PG 2026), and ALLOTTED TO (the specialty and college assigned).

Your general rank (GRANK) determines your position in the merit order. A lower rank number means higher merit. The total marks (T.MARK) are your NEET PG 2026 scores. The 'ALLOTTED TO' column shows the exact specialty (e.g., M.D. General Medicine, M.S. Orthopaedics) and the government medical college where you have been allotted.

What to do if your name is on the list

If your name appears on this provisional allotment list, you must take the following steps immediately: (1) Verify that your name, application number (ARNO), and NEET PG score are correct. (2) Check the specialty and college you have been allotted and confirm that this matches your preference. (3) Note the allotment date (31 October 2026) and watch for the next official notification from the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee regarding document verification and joining.

Do not assume your allotment is final. The list is provisional and subject to verification of your original documents, including your MBBS degree, NEET PG admit card and score card, disability certificate, community certificate (if applicable), and any other documents required by the committee. You will be called for document verification at your allotted college. Attend this verification on the scheduled date with all original documents. If any document is missing or invalid, your allotment may be cancelled.

  • Verify your name, application number, and NEET PG score on the list
  • Check your allotted specialty and college
  • Keep all original documents ready (MBBS degree, NEET PG score card, disability certificate, community certificate)
  • Wait for the next notification on document verification date and venue
  • Attend document verification at your allotted college on the scheduled date
  • Do not make any travel or financial commitments until your allotment is confirmed after verification

Important: This is a provisional list — what happens next?

This allotment list is marked 'provisional' because it is subject to verification of your eligibility and documents. The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee will issue a separate notification with the date, time, and venue for document verification. You must attend this verification in person at your allotted college with all original documents.

During verification, the college will check: (1) Your MBBS degree and mark sheet. (2) Your NEET PG 2026 admit card and score card. (3) Your disability certificate issued by a competent authority (must show the type and percentage of disability). (4) Your community certificate, if applicable. (5) Your caste validity certificate, if applicable. (6) Any other documents specified in the counselling brochure. If all documents are found to be in order and you meet the eligibility criteria, your allotment will be confirmed and you will be issued a joining letter. If any document is missing, invalid, or if you do not meet the criteria, your allotment will be cancelled.

  • Allotment is provisional and subject to document verification
  • Wait for the official notification on verification date and venue
  • Attend verification in person at your allotted college
  • Bring all original documents (MBBS degree, NEET PG score card, disability certificate, community certificate)
  • After successful verification, you will receive a joining letter
  • If documents are incomplete or invalid, allotment may be cancelled

Disability certificate requirements — do not miss this

Your disability certificate is critical. It must be issued by a competent authority recognized by the government — typically a civil surgeon, district medical board, or government hospital. The certificate must clearly state: (1) The type of disability (e.g., physical, visual, hearing, locomotor, mental). (2) The percentage of disability (e.g., 40%, 60%, 80%). (3) The date of issue. (4) The authority's seal and signature.

If your disability certificate is old, expired, or does not clearly show the percentage of disability, it may be rejected during verification and your allotment will be cancelled. If you do not have a valid disability certificate, you are not eligible for the PWD quota and your allotment will be cancelled. Obtain a fresh disability certificate from a competent authority immediately if yours is missing or invalid.

  • Certificate must be from a competent authority (civil surgeon, district medical board, government hospital)
  • Must clearly state the type of disability
  • Must clearly state the percentage of disability
  • Must have the authority's seal and signature
  • Must not be expired
  • Obtain a fresh certificate immediately if yours is missing or invalid

Community and caste certificate requirements

If you have been allotted under a reserved category (BC, SC, MBC&DNC), you must have a valid community/caste certificate issued by the competent authority in your state. The certificate must be issued on or after a specified date (usually the date of notification of the counselling process or earlier, as per government rules). The certificate must clearly show your caste/community name and the category you belong to.

If you are from the Open Category (OC), you do not need a community certificate. However, if you have claimed a reserved category during choice-filling but do not have a valid certificate, your allotment under that category will be cancelled and you may be re-allotted under the Open Category if seats are available, or your allotment may be cancelled entirely. Verify that your community certificate is valid and matches the category you have been allotted.

  • BC (Backward Caste) candidates: valid BC certificate required
  • SC (Scheduled Caste) candidates: valid SC certificate required
  • MBC&DNC (Most Backward Caste & Denotified Community) candidates: valid MBC&DNC certificate required
  • OC (Open Category) candidates: no community certificate required
  • Certificate must be issued by competent authority
  • Certificate must not be expired
  • Certificate must clearly show caste/community name and category

What if your name is NOT on the list?

If your name does not appear on this provisional allotment list, it means you have not been allotted a seat in this round under the PWD category. This could happen for several reasons: (1) Your NEET PG score was not high enough to secure a seat in your chosen specialty and college combination. (2) You did not fill any choices during the choice-filling process. (3) Your disability certificate was not valid or was not submitted during registration. (4) You did not meet the eligibility criteria for the PWD category.

Do not panic. The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee may conduct additional rounds of counselling (mop-up rounds, stray vacancy rounds) where more seats may become available. Watch for the next official notification. If you believe there is an error in your allotment status, you can file an appeal with the committee as per the procedure outlined in the counselling brochure. Contact the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee office for clarification on why you were not allotted.

  • Your score may not have been high enough for your chosen specialty/college
  • You may not have filled any choices
  • Your disability certificate may not have been valid
  • You may not have met eligibility criteria
  • Wait for the next round of counselling (mop-up or stray vacancy)
  • File an appeal if you believe there is an error
  • Contact the committee office for clarification

Common mistakes that get allotments cancelled

Many candidates lose their allotted seats due to preventable mistakes. Here are the most common: (1) Invalid or expired disability certificate — if your certificate does not clearly show the percentage of disability or is expired, it will be rejected. (2) Missing or invalid community certificate — if you are allotted under a reserved category but do not have a valid certificate, your allotment will be cancelled. (3) Missing MBBS degree or mark sheet — you must have your original MBBS degree and mark sheet; a photocopy is not sufficient. (4) Invalid NEET PG score card — bring your original score card; a printout from the website may not be accepted.

(5) Not attending document verification — if you do not attend on the scheduled date, your allotment is automatically cancelled. (6) Incomplete documents — if even one required document is missing, your allotment may be cancelled. (7) Discrepancies in name or date of birth — if your name or date of birth on your documents does not match your NEET PG registration, you may face rejection. (8) Not joining by the specified date — if you do not join your allotted college by the deadline, your seat will be cancelled. Verify all your documents now and ensure everything is in order before the verification date.

  • Invalid or expired disability certificate
  • Missing or invalid community certificate (for reserved categories)

Frequently asked questions

What does 'provisional allotment' mean? Is my seat confirmed?

Provisional allotment means your seat is tentatively assigned based on merit and your choices, but it is not final. It is subject to verification of your original documents, eligibility, and disability certificate. Your allotment will be confirmed only after you attend document verification at your allotted college and all your documents are found to be valid. If any document is missing or invalid, your allotment will be cancelled.

I am on the allotment list. What do I do now?

First, verify that your name, application number, and NEET PG score are correct on the list. Check your allotted specialty and college. Then, gather all your original documents: MBBS degree, NEET PG score card, disability certificate, community certificate (if applicable), and any other documents specified in the counselling brochure. Wait for the official notification on document verification date and venue, and attend verification in person at your allotted college with all original documents.

What documents do I need to bring for document verification?

You must bring: (1) Original MBBS degree and mark sheet. (2) Original NEET PG 2026 admit card and score card. (3) Original disability certificate issued by a competent authority (must show type and percentage of disability). (4) Original community certificate, if you are allotted under a reserved category (BC, SC, MBC&DNC). (5) Original caste validity certificate, if applicable. (6) Any other documents specified in the counselling brochure. Photocopies are not accepted; bring originals only.

My disability certificate is old. Will it be accepted?

An old disability certificate may be rejected if it is expired or if the government has updated its norms. The certificate must clearly show the type and percentage of disability and must have the competent authority's seal and signature. If your certificate is old or you are unsure about its validity, obtain a fresh disability certificate from a civil surgeon or district medical board immediately. Do not wait until the verification date.

I am allotted under BC category but I do not have a BC certificate. What happens?

If you are allotted under a reserved category (BC, SC, MBC&DNC) but do not have a valid certificate, your allotment will be cancelled during document verification. You will not be able to join. Obtain a valid community certificate from the competent authority in your state immediately. If you cannot obtain it before verification, your allotment will be cancelled and you may lose your seat.

When is the document verification date? Where do I go?

The document verification date, time, and venue will be announced in a separate notification by the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee. Watch the official website (tnmedicalselection.net) and your registered email and phone number for this notification. Document verification will be held at your allotted college. Do not miss this date — if you do not attend, your allotment will be cancelled.

What if I do not attend document verification?

If you do not attend document verification on the scheduled date, your allotment will be automatically cancelled. Your seat will be offered to the next candidate in the merit list. There is no grace period or extension. Mark the verification date on your calendar and make sure you attend in person.

After verification, when do I join my college?

After successful document verification, you will be issued a joining letter with the date by which you must join your allotted college. The joining date will be specified in the letter. You must join by this date; if you do not, your seat will be cancelled. Watch for the joining letter notification on the official website.

My name is not on the allotment list. What does this mean?

If your name is not on the list, you have not been allotted a seat in this round under the PWD category. This could be because your NEET PG score was not high enough, you did not fill choices, your disability certificate was invalid, or you did not meet eligibility criteria. The committee may conduct additional rounds (mop-up or stray vacancy). Watch for the next notification. If you believe there is an error, file an appeal as per the counselling brochure.

Can I change my allotted college or specialty?

No, you cannot change your allotted college or specialty after allotment. Your college and specialty are based on your merit rank and your choices during choice-filling. If you are unhappy with your allotment, you can file an appeal with the committee, but there is no guarantee it will be accepted. The only way to change your college or specialty is if you do not join and your seat is cancelled, and then you are re-allotted in a subsequent round (if available).

What if there is a discrepancy in my name or date of birth on the allotment list?

If your name or date of birth on the allotment list does not match your NEET PG registration or your documents, inform the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee immediately. Do not wait until verification. Contact the committee office and provide proof of the correct name and date of birth. A discrepancy can lead to rejection during verification. Get this corrected before the verification date.

Is this allotment for all PWD candidates or only some?

This allotment list shows 12 candidates who have been allotted seats under the PWD category in the Government Quota for NEET PG 2026-27. This is the first allotment list released. If there are more PWD candidates who applied but were not allotted in this round, they may be allotted in subsequent rounds (mop-up or stray vacancy) if seats become available. Watch for the next notification.

If your name is on this provisional allotment list, verify your details immediately and gather all your original documents (MBBS degree, NEET PG score card, disability certificate, community certificate if applicable). Watch the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee website (tnmedicalselection.net) and your registered email and phone for the document verification notification. Attend verification in person at your allotted college on the scheduled date with all original documents — missing this date will result in cancellation of your allotment. After successful verification, you will receive a joining letter with the date by which you must join your college.
