The Rajasthan NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board has released a provisional list of 220 NRI (Non-Resident Indian) candidates whose documents have been verified and who are eligible for NRI seats in MBBS and BDS programmes for the 2026–27 academic year. This list is based on document verification conducted on 19 August, 24 August, 9 September, and 5 October 2026, and covers candidates through Round 3 of counselling. If your name appears on this list with "Verified" status, you are cleared to participate in NRI seat allocation. However, the board has made clear that this status is provisional and subject to further scrutiny and change.

If your name appears on this provisional verified NRI list with "Verified" status, you are eligible for NRI seat counselling in Rajasthan MBBS/BDS programmes, but the verification remains subject to further review by the authority.

What is this list and why does it matter?

This is a provisional list of NRI candidates whose documents have passed verification by the Rajasthan medical admission board. NRI seats are a separate quota reserved for Non-Resident Indian applicants in MBBS and BDS colleges. Being on this verified list means your NRI status claim has been accepted based on the documents you submitted during the verification window.

The list covers 220 candidates in total. It is divided into two groups: candidates with Rajasthan state preference (54 candidates, rows 1–54) and candidates with out-of-Rajasthan state preference (166 candidates, rows 55–220). Your state preference determines which colleges and seats you will be offered during counselling.

This list is provisional. The board has explicitly stated that verification status is "indicative in nature, and is subject to further verification, scrutiny, reconciliation and change by the competent authority." This means the board may conduct additional checks, and your status could change if discrepancies are found.

How to find your name on the list

The list is arranged by NRI Merit Number (RM number), starting from RM3197 and ending at RM8746. Each row contains your registration ID, NEET ID, name, father's name, gender, domicile state, category (General, OBC NCL, SC, MBC NCL), NEET UG 2026 marks, NEET All-India rank, NRI status, state preference, and verification status.

To find yourself: (1) Search for your name or NEET ID in the document. (2) Check the "Verification Status" column on the far right. If it shows "Verified (Rajasthan)" or "Verified (Out of Rajasthan)", you are on the list. (3) Note your NRI Merit Number and your state preference—this will be important for counselling.

If your name does not appear on this list, it means either your NRI documents were not submitted during the verification window, or they were rejected. In that case, contact the board immediately to understand why and whether you can submit documents in a future verification round.

Understanding NRI status and state preference

NRI status means you are classified as a Non-Resident Indian for admission purposes. This is typically determined by your passport, PIO (Person of Indian Origin) card, or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card, and your domicile state in India. The board verifies these documents to confirm your NRI eligibility.

State preference is the state in which you wish to study. The list shows two categories: "Rajasthan" (candidates preferring Rajasthan colleges) and "Out of Rajasthan" (candidates preferring colleges in other states). Your state preference affects which colleges you can be allotted to. If you chose Rajasthan, you will be considered for NRI seats in Rajasthan MBBS/BDS colleges. If you chose out-of-Rajasthan, you will be considered for NRI seats in colleges outside Rajasthan, but your counselling may be managed by Rajasthan board or coordinated with other states.

Your domicile state (shown in the "Domicile" column) is your registered home state in India. This is different from your state preference. For example, a candidate with domicile in Delhi but state preference Rajasthan will be considered for Rajasthan colleges as an NRI.

What "Verified" status means for your counselling

"Verified" status means your NRI documents have been accepted by the board and you are eligible to participate in NRI seat counselling. You will be ranked among other verified NRI candidates based on your NEET UG 2026 marks and All-India rank, and seats will be allotted in order of merit.

However, "Verified" is not final. The board has stated that this status is provisional and subject to further verification, scrutiny, reconciliation, and change. This means: (1) The board may conduct additional checks on your documents even after you are allotted a seat. (2) If discrepancies are found later (e.g., your NRI status is found to be false, or documents are forged), your verification can be cancelled and your seat can be withdrawn. (3) You must keep all original documents ready for physical verification at the college after allotment.

Do not assume that being on this list guarantees a seat. Your final admission depends on: (1) your merit rank among verified NRI candidates, (2) the number of NRI seats available in your preferred colleges, (3) your choices during counselling, and (4) successful physical verification of documents at the college.

Key information from the list: marks, ranks, and categories

The list shows your NEET UG 2026 marks and your NEET All-India rank. These are used to rank you among verified NRI candidates. The highest-scoring candidate on this list is Gul Ayaz (RM3197) with 511 marks and rank 75,941. The lowest-scoring candidate is Ibraheem Abdul Rehman Shaikh (RM8746) with 213 marks and rank 996,205.

Your category (General, OBC NCL, SC, MBC NCL) is also shown. In NRI counselling, category-based reservations may apply differently than in general counselling. Check the Rajasthan medical board's counselling rules to understand how your category affects seat allotment.

Remember: your All-India rank is different from your NRI merit rank. Your All-India rank is your position among all NEET UG 2026 candidates nationwide. Your NRI merit rank is your position among verified NRI candidates only. For NRI seat allotment, your NRI merit rank (based on your marks and category) will be used, not your All-India rank.

Verification dates and what they mean

The list shows that document verification was conducted on four dates: 19 August 2026, 24 August 2026, 9 September 2026, and 5 October 2026. If your name appears on this list, your documents were verified on one of these dates. The board may have conducted multiple verification windows to allow candidates who missed earlier dates to submit documents.

If you submitted your NRI documents after 5 October 2026, they will not be on this list. You may be included in a future verification list if the board conducts another verification round. Check the board's website regularly for announcements about additional verification windows.

The fact that verification was done on 5 October 2026 (just two days before this list was released on 7 October 2026) suggests the board is still processing documents. If you are not on this list but believe you submitted documents on time, contact the board immediately to confirm your submission status.

What to do if your name is on the list

Step 1: Verify your details. Check that your name, father's name, NEET ID, marks, and rank are correct. If there is any error, contact the board immediately with proof (your NEET admit card, registration confirmation, etc.).

Step 2: Note your NRI Merit Number and state preference. You will need these for counselling registration and choice filling.

Step 3: Keep all original NRI documents ready. These include your passport, PIO card, or OCI card; proof of Indian domicile; and any other documents you submitted during verification. You will need to present these at the college after allotment for physical verification.

Step 4: Wait for the counselling schedule. The board will announce the dates for NRI seat counselling, choice filling, and allotment. Register on the counselling portal as soon as it opens and fill your choices carefully.

Step 5: Do not assume your seat is confirmed. Even if you are allotted a seat, it is provisional until you complete physical verification at the college and submit all original documents.

If your name does not appear on this provisional list, it means one of the following: (1) You did not submit NRI documents during the verification window (19 August to 5 October 2026). (2) You submitted documents, but they were rejected because they did not meet the NRI eligibility criteria. (3) There was an error in your registration or submission.

Contact the board immediately. Visit the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling portal (ug.neetrajasthan.com) or call the board's helpline to find out why you are not on the list. Ask whether you can submit documents in a future verification round or whether there is an appeal process.

If you believe your documents were submitted correctly and should have been verified, you may be able to file a grievance or request a review. The board's website should have a grievance portal or contact details for the admission office.

Important: This list is provisional and subject to change

The board has clearly stated: "The Post Document Verification Status is provisional and indicative in nature, and is subject to further verification, scrutiny, reconciliation and change by the competent authority." This is not a final merit list or allotment list. It is a list of candidates whose documents have passed an initial check.

What this means for you: (1) The board may conduct additional verification of your documents at any time, even after you are allotted a seat. (2) If the board finds that your NRI status is false, your documents are forged, or you do not meet the eligibility criteria, your verification can be cancelled. (3) Your seat can be withdrawn if your verification is cancelled. (4) You must be prepared to provide original documents and answer questions about your NRI status at the college.

Do not make any financial commitments (deposits, fees, travel bookings) based solely on this provisional list. Wait for the final allotment list and confirmation from the college before making any arrangements.

Rajasthan vs. Out-of-Rajasthan candidates: what's the difference?

The list is divided into two groups based on state preference. Rows 1–54 show candidates who chose Rajasthan as their state preference. Rows 55–220 show candidates who chose out-of-Rajasthan (i.e., colleges in other states).

If you are in the Rajasthan group, you will be considered for NRI seats in MBBS/BDS colleges in Rajasthan. If you are in the out-of-Rajasthan group, your counselling may be managed differently—either by Rajasthan board on behalf of other states, or you may need to participate in counselling conducted by other state boards. Check the board's counselling rules to understand how out-of-Rajasthan candidates will be counselled.

Your state preference is final and was chosen during your registration. If you wish to change it, contact the board immediately to see if changes are allowed at this stage.

Common mistakes that could get your verification cancelled

Fake or forged NRI documents: If your passport, PIO card, or OCI card is found to be fake or forged, your verification will be cancelled immediately and you may face legal action. Do not attempt to use false documents.

Incorrect domicile information: If you claim to be domiciled in a state but your documents show a different domicile, your NRI status may be questioned. Ensure all your documents are consistent.

Misrepresentation of NRI status: If you are actually an Indian citizen with an Indian passport (not a PIO or OCI card holder), you do not qualify as NRI. Do not misrepresent your status.

Missing or incomplete documents: If you submitted incomplete documents during verification and the board later finds that key documents are missing, your verification can be cancelled. Ensure all required documents are submitted.

Failure to appear for physical verification: After allotment, you must appear at the college for physical verification of documents. If you do not appear or if your original documents do not match the copies you submitted, your seat will be cancelled.

Frequently asked questions

What does it mean if my name is on this provisional verified NRI list?

It means your NRI documents have passed an initial verification by the Rajasthan medical board and you are eligible to participate in NRI seat counselling for MBBS/BDS programmes. However, this status is provisional and subject to further verification. Your final admission depends on your merit rank, the number of NRI seats available, your choices during counselling, and successful physical verification at the college.

How do I find my name on the list?

Search for your name or NEET ID in the document. Check the "Verification Status" column on the far right. If it shows "Verified (Rajasthan)" or "Verified (Out of Rajasthan)", you are on the list. Note your NRI Merit Number and state preference for counselling.

What is the difference between Rajasthan and Out-of-Rajasthan candidates on this list?

Rajasthan candidates (rows 1–54) chose Rajasthan as their state preference and will be considered for NRI seats in Rajasthan colleges. Out-of-Rajasthan candidates (rows 55–220) chose colleges in other states. Your state preference determines which colleges you can be allotted to.

Why does the board say this list is provisional and subject to change?

The board may conduct additional verification of your documents at any time, even after you are allotted a seat. If it finds that your NRI status is false, your documents are forged, or you do not meet eligibility criteria, your verification can be cancelled and your seat can be withdrawn. You must keep all original documents ready for physical verification at the college.

What should I do if my name is not on this list?

Contact the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling board immediately to find out why. You may not have submitted NRI documents during the verification window, your documents may have been rejected, or there may be an error. Ask whether you can submit documents in a future verification round or file a grievance.

What documents do I need to keep ready after being verified?

Keep all original NRI documents ready, including your passport, PIO card, or OCI card; proof of Indian domicile; and any other documents you submitted during verification. You will need to present these at the college after allotment for physical verification. Do not submit originals to the board—only keep them for college verification.

Can my verification status be cancelled after I am allotted a seat?

Yes. The board has stated that verification is provisional and subject to further scrutiny. If the board finds discrepancies in your documents or your NRI status is found to be false, your verification can be cancelled even after allotment, and your seat can be withdrawn. This is why physical verification at the college is mandatory.

What is my NRI Merit Number and why is it important?

Your NRI Merit Number (RM number) is your unique identifier on this list. It is used to rank you among verified NRI candidates based on your NEET marks and category. You will need this number for counselling registration and choice filling. Do not confuse it with your All-India rank.

When will NRI seat counselling happen?

The board has not announced the counselling schedule in this notice. Check the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling portal (ug.neetrajasthan.com) regularly for announcements about NRI counselling dates, choice filling, and allotment.

If I am verified as NRI, am I guaranteed a seat?

No. Being verified means you are eligible to participate in counselling, but a seat is not guaranteed. Your final admission depends on your merit rank among verified NRI candidates, the number of NRI seats available in your preferred colleges, your choices during counselling, and successful physical verification at the college.

If your name appears on this provisional verified NRI list with "Verified" status, congratulations—you are eligible for NRI seat counselling. Verify your details immediately, note your NRI Merit Number and state preference, and keep all original NRI documents ready. Do not make any financial commitments based on this provisional list. Wait for the board's announcement of the NRI counselling schedule, register on the portal when it opens, and fill your choices carefully. If your name is not on the list, contact the board immediately to understand why and whether you can submit documents in a future verification round. Remember: this list is provisional and subject to further verification and change by the board.
