Puducherry's Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has published the Stray Round Draft Allotment List for NEET UG 2026 on 23 October 2026. This list shows which seat has been tentatively assigned to you in MBBS, BDS, or BAMS courses under Government and Management quotas. This is a draft — it is not final and may change. You have until 10 AM on 24 October 2026 to log in, check your allotment, and raise any objections if you believe there is an error. After CENTAC reviews all objections, a Provisional Allotment List will be released, and only then should you approach your allotted college.

Check your Stray Round Draft Allotment on the CENTAC dashboard immediately and submit any objections by 10 AM on 24.10.2026 — this is your only chance to flag errors before the final list is published.

CENTAC Puducherry — [23-10-2026] - NOTICE : STRAY ROUND DRAFT ALLOTMENT LIST FOR UG NEET-BASED COURSES 2026-2027Official PDF notice published by CENTAC Puducherry. Always confirm details against the official document.

What is the Stray Round and why does it matter?

The Stray Round is the final counselling round in Puducherry's NEET UG admission process. It is held after earlier rounds (merit-based and special rounds) to fill any remaining vacant seats. If you did not get a seat in earlier rounds, or if you want to try for a different college or course, the Stray Round gives you another chance.

The Draft Allotment List published today is the first step. It shows which seat the computer algorithm has assigned to you based on your rank, choices, and the seats available. However, it is not binding — it is only indicative and subject to change. The notice explicitly states that candidates cannot claim any right over the allotted seat at this stage, and the draft list cannot be challenged in court.

Which courses are included in this Stray Round?

The Stray Round Draft Allotment covers three professional courses: MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery). Seats are available under both Government Quota and Management Quota.

  • MBBS — 5.5-year medical degree
  • BDS — 4-year dental degree
  • BAMS — 5.5-year Ayurveda degree

How to check your draft allotment

You must log in to the CENTAC dashboard using your credentials (the same username and password you used during registration and earlier counselling rounds). Once logged in, you will be able to see which college and course you have been allotted, if any.

The website is www.centacpuducherry.in. If you have forgotten your login credentials, contact the CENTAC helpline (details below) before the objection deadline.

  • Visit www.centacpuducherry.in
  • Log in with your NEET registration credentials
  • View your allotment status on the dashboard
  • Note the college name, course, and seat category

Critical deadline: Objections must be submitted by 10 AM on 24.10.2026

This is the most important date. You have exactly one day from the publication of the draft list to review your allotment and raise any objections. The objection window closes at 10:00 AM on 24 October 2026. After this time, no objections will be accepted.

An objection is a formal complaint that something in your allotment is wrong — for example, if you believe the algorithm made an error, or if your eligibility was incorrectly assessed. Do not wait until the last minute; submit your objection as soon as you spot an issue.

  • Objection submission opens: 23.10.2026 (today)
  • Objection submission closes: 24.10.2026 at 10:00 AM
  • After this deadline, no objections will be accepted

How to submit an objection

To submit an objection, log in to your CENTAC dashboard and look for the 'GRIEVANCES' option. Click on it and describe the issue you have found in your allotment. Be clear and specific — for example, 'I was allotted MBBS at College X, but I did not choose this college in my preference list' or 'My category has been marked incorrectly.'

CENTAC will review all objections after the deadline. If your objection is valid, your allotment may be corrected. If it is not valid, your allotment will remain as shown in the draft list.

  • Log in to www.centacpuducherry.in
  • Click on 'GRIEVANCES' in your dashboard
  • Describe your objection clearly and completely
  • Submit before 10:00 AM on 24.10.2026

What happens after objections are submitted?

CENTAC will review all objections raised by candidates. Depending on the nature and validity of the objections, some allotments may be changed. After this review is complete, CENTAC will publish the Stray Round Provisional Allotment List. This provisional list is much closer to final, though technically still subject to administrative review.

You must wait for the Provisional Allotment List before approaching your allotted college. Do not visit the college or take any action based on the draft list alone. Only after downloading your provisional allotment order from the dashboard should you contact the college to complete admission formalities (document verification, fee payment, hostel registration, etc.).

  • CENTAC reviews all objections
  • Stray Round Provisional Allotment List is published
  • Download your provisional allotment order from the dashboard
  • Only then approach your allotted college

Important: The draft list is NOT final and cannot be challenged in court

The notice makes it very clear that the Draft Allotment List is 'only indicative in nature and subject to change.' This means CENTAC reserves the right to modify allotments after reviewing objections. You cannot claim any legal right to the seat shown in the draft list, and you cannot file a court case to challenge it at this stage.

This is standard practice in counselling — the draft is a working document, not a final order. The Provisional Allotment List, published after objection review, is the document that carries more weight. Even then, final allotment is confirmed only after you complete document verification and fee payment at the college.

  • Draft list is indicative only — not binding
  • Allotments may change after objection review
  • You cannot legally challenge the draft list in court
  • Wait for the Provisional Allotment List for a more reliable status

What if you are not allotted a seat in the draft list?

If your name does not appear in the draft allotment list, it means no seat was available for you in the Stray Round based on your rank and choices. This does not mean you cannot get a seat — it depends on whether seats become available after other candidates reject their allotments or after document verification.

You should still log in to the dashboard and check your status. If you believe there is an error (for example, you should have been eligible for a seat but were not allotted one), submit an objection through the GRIEVANCES option before 10 AM on 24.10.2026. CENTAC will review your case.

  • Check the dashboard to confirm you are not allotted
  • If you believe this is an error, submit an objection immediately
  • Seats may become available later if other candidates reject

Contact information and support

If you have trouble logging in, cannot find the GRIEVANCES option, or have questions about your allotment, contact the CENTAC helpline. They can guide you through the process and help resolve technical issues.

  • Website: www.centacpuducherry.in
  • Helpline: 0413-2655570 or 0413-2655571
  • Method: Call during office hours or submit a query through the GRIEVANCES option in your dashboard
  • SMS notifications have also been sent to all candidates

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Draft Allotment List and the Provisional Allotment List?

The Draft Allotment List is published first and is indicative — it shows the computer's initial assignment of seats based on your rank and choices, but it is subject to change. The Provisional Allotment List is published after CENTAC reviews all objections raised by candidates. The provisional list is more reliable, though still technically subject to administrative review. You should only approach your allotted college after the Provisional Allotment List is published and you have downloaded your provisional allotment order.

I see I have been allotted a seat in the draft list. Can I go to the college now?

No. The notice explicitly states that you should approach the allotted college only after the Provisional Allotment List is published and only after downloading the provisional allotment order from your dashboard. The draft list is not final, and allotments may change after objections are reviewed. Going to the college now may waste your time and the college's time.

What should I do if I find an error in my draft allotment?

Log in to your CENTAC dashboard, click on the GRIEVANCES option, and describe the error clearly. For example, if you were allotted a course you did not choose, or if your category is marked incorrectly, explain this in your objection. Submit your objection before 10:00 AM on 24.10.2026. CENTAC will review it and may correct your allotment in the Provisional Allotment List.

I forgot my login credentials. What should I do?

Contact the CENTAC helpline immediately at 0413-2655570 or 0413-2655571. They can help you reset your password or retrieve your credentials. Do this as soon as possible because the objection deadline is 10:00 AM on 24.10.2026, and you do not want to miss it.

Can I challenge the draft allotment in court?

No. The notice explicitly states that the Draft Allotment List cannot be challenged before the Court of Law. The draft is indicative and subject to change. If you believe there is an error, your only remedy is to submit an objection through the GRIEVANCES option in your dashboard before 10:00 AM on 24.10.2026.

I am not allotted any seat in the draft list. Does this mean I will not get a seat?

Not necessarily. It means no seat was available for you in the Stray Round based on your rank and choices. However, seats may become available later if other candidates reject their allotments or if there are cancellations. Check your dashboard status and, if you believe there is an error in your eligibility or choices, submit an objection before 10:00 AM on 24.10.2026.

What courses are covered in this Stray Round?

The Stray Round covers MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery). Seats are available under both Government Quota and Management Quota.

When will the Provisional Allotment List be published?

The notice does not specify an exact date for the Provisional Allotment List. It will be published after CENTAC reviews all objections submitted by candidates. Check the CENTAC website (www.centacpuducherry.in) regularly for updates, or enable notifications on your dashboard.

I received an SMS about the draft allotment. Is that enough, or do I need to log in to the dashboard?

The SMS is just a notification. You must log in to the dashboard to see the full details of your allotment (college name, course, seat category, etc.) and to submit any objections if needed. Do not rely on the SMS alone.

What documents will I need when I approach the college after the Provisional Allotment List is published?

The notice does not specify the documents required at the college. However, typically you will need your NEET admit card, mark sheet, 10th and 12th certificates, category certificate (if applicable), and other documents as per the college's admission checklist. Contact the college directly or check the CENTAC website for the complete list of documents required for document verification and admission.

Log in to www.centacpuducherry.in immediately using your NEET registration credentials and check your draft allotment status. If you find any error, submit an objection through the GRIEVANCES option before 10:00 AM on 24 October 2026 — this is your only chance to flag issues before the final list is published. Do not approach your allotted college until the Provisional Allotment List is released and you have downloaded your provisional allotment order. For help, call the CENTAC helpline at 0413-2655570 or 0413-2655571.
