CENTAC Puducherry — [08-10-2026] - NOTICE : ROUND 3 ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES LIST FOR UG NEET COURSES - 2026-2027Official PDF notice published by CENTAC Puducherry. Always confirm details against the official document.

What is the Round 3 Eligible Candidates List?

The Round 3 Eligible Candidates List is a published roster of all candidates who are eligible to participate in the third round of seat allotment for NEET UG courses in Puducherry. This list was released on 08.10.2026 on the CENTAC website (www.centacpuducherry.in) and covers Government Quota, Management Quota, Minority Quota, and NRI Quota seats.

The list serves two purposes: it confirms that you meet the basic eligibility criteria to be considered for allotment in Round 3, and it gives you a chance to verify that your details are correct before the allotment process begins. Being on this list does not guarantee you a seat — it only means you are eligible to be considered.

Who Appears on the Round 3 Eligible Candidates List?

The list includes two categories of candidates. First, all candidates who were admitted in Round 1 or Round 2 — whether or not they submitted willingness for Round 3. Second, candidates who submitted willingness for Round 3 and paid their Round 3 Registration Fee.

If you were admitted in an earlier round and did not submit willingness for Round 3, you will remain in your current admitted course and will not be considered for allotment in Round 3. If you were admitted in an earlier round and did submit willingness for Round 3, you will be considered for allotment only if you have paid your Round 3 Registration Fee.

  • All candidates admitted in Round 1 or Round 2 (regardless of whether they submitted willingness for Round 3)
  • Candidates who submitted willingness for Round 3 and paid their Round 3 Registration Fee

Courses Covered in Round 3

Round 3 allotment covers MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc.&A.H. (National — SS & NRI), and BAMS courses. These are the only courses for which candidates can be allotted in this round. If you are interested in any other course, you will need to check separate counselling schedules or notifications.

  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
  • BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
  • B.V.Sc.&A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry) — National SS & NRI only
  • BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)

Important Conditions for Round 3 Allotment

Simply appearing on the eligible candidates list is not enough to be allotted a seat in Round 3. CENTAC has set four critical conditions that you must meet. If you fail to meet any one of these, you will not be considered for allotment, even if your name is on the eligible list.

The first condition is that you must have submitted your willingness for Round 3 and paid the required fee. If you were admitted in Round 1 or 2 and did not submit willingness for Round 3, you will stay in your current course. If you were admitted in Round 1 or 2 and did submit willingness for Round 3, you must have paid your Round 3 Registration Fee. If you have not yet joined any course, you must have paid your Round 3 Registration Fee. If you have already joined a course, you must have paid your Tuition Fee for Round 3.

The second condition applies specifically to Puducherry SC, ST, EBC, and Government School students who were admitted under Government Quota in Round 1 or 2. If you fall into this category and submitted willingness for Round 3, you will be considered for allotment only if you have paid your Round 3 Registration Fee — even if you have already joined your current course.

The third condition is that you must have filled in your course preferences. If your course preference list is empty, you will not be considered for allotment in Round 3, regardless of whether you have paid your fee or submitted willingness.

  • You must have submitted willingness for Round 3 and paid the required fee (Registration Fee if not yet joined; Tuition Fee if already joined)
  • If you are a Puducherry SC/ST/EBC/Government School student admitted under Government Quota in Round 1 or 2, you must have paid your Round 3 Registration Fee to be considered
  • You must have filled in your course preferences — an empty preference list will result in exclusion from allotment
  • Candidates who joined in Round 1 or 2 and did not submit willingness for Round 3 will remain in their current admitted course

Objections Deadline: 09.10.2026, 11:00 AM

If you believe there is an error in the eligible candidates list — for example, if your name should be on the list but is not, or if your details are incorrect — you have until 09.10.2026 at 11:00 AM to submit an objection. After this deadline, no objections will be accepted.

To submit an objection, log into your CENTAC dashboard and use the Grievances Option. Clearly state the nature of your objection and provide any supporting evidence. Do not wait until the last moment — submit your objection as soon as you identify the issue, to allow time for CENTAC to review and respond.

  • Objection deadline: 09.10.2026, 11:00 AM
  • Method: Log into your CENTAC dashboard and use the Grievances Option
  • No objections will be accepted after the deadline
  • Submit early to allow time for review and response

What Happens After the Eligible List is Published?

After the objection deadline passes (09.10.2026, 11:00 AM), CENTAC will review any objections received and finalize the eligible candidates list. The next step will be the publication of the Round 3 allotment result, which will assign seats to eligible candidates based on their merit rank, category, quota, and course preferences.

Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 3 will be notified and will need to join their allotted course within the specified joining period. Candidates who are not allotted a seat in Round 3 will not be able to participate in further rounds of counselling for NEET UG courses in Puducherry.

Key Traps: What Will Get You Excluded from Round 3 Allotment

Even if your name is on the eligible candidates list, you can still be excluded from Round 3 allotment if you fail to meet any of the conditions set by CENTAC. Understanding these traps now can help you avoid them.

Trap 1: Empty course preferences. If you have not filled in your course preferences on the CENTAC portal, you will not be considered for allotment, even if you have paid your fee and submitted willingness. Log into your dashboard immediately and fill in your course preferences in order of priority.

Trap 2: Not paying the required fee. If you have not yet joined a course, you must pay your Round 3 Registration Fee. If you have already joined a course, you must pay your Round 3 Tuition Fee. Willingness alone is not enough — payment is mandatory. Check your payment status on the portal.

Trap 3: Special rule for Government Quota students. If you are a Puducherry SC, ST, EBC, or Government School student who was admitted under Government Quota in Round 1 or 2, and you submitted willingness for Round 3, you must have paid your Round 3 Registration Fee to be considered for allotment. This applies even if you have already joined your current course. Do not assume that joining in an earlier round exempts you from paying the Round 3 fee.

Trap 4: Not submitting willingness. If you were admitted in Round 1 or 2 and did not submit willingness for Round 3, you will remain in your current course and will not be considered for allotment in Round 3. If you want to participate in Round 3, you must have submitted willingness before the deadline.

  • Empty course preferences → excluded from allotment
  • No Round 3 Registration Fee (if not yet joined) or Tuition Fee (if already joined) → excluded from allotment
  • Government Quota SC/ST/EBC/Govt. School students: must pay Round 3 Registration Fee even if already joined in Round 1/2
  • Did not submit willingness for Round 3 → will remain in current course, not considered for Round 3 allotment

Quotas and Categories Covered

Round 3 allotment covers seats across four quota categories: Government Quota, Management Quota, Minority Quota, and NRI Quota. Each quota has its own set of eligible candidates and may have different eligibility criteria or fee structures. The eligible candidates list you are checking includes candidates from all four quotas.

If you are unsure which quota you fall under, check your CENTAC registration or contact the helpline. Your quota determines which seats you are eligible for and may affect your fee and other requirements.

  • Government Quota
  • Management Quota
  • Minority Quota
  • NRI Quota

Frequently asked questions

What does it mean if my name is on the Round 3 Eligible Candidates List?

It means you meet the basic eligibility criteria to be considered for seat allotment in Round 3. However, being on the list does not guarantee you a seat. You must also have submitted willingness for Round 3, paid the required fee, and filled in your course preferences to actually be considered for allotment.

I was admitted in Round 2 but did not submit willingness for Round 3. Will I be considered for Round 3 allotment?

No. If you were admitted in Round 1 or 2 and did not submit willingness for Round 3, you will remain in your current admitted course and will not be considered for allotment in Round 3. You will keep your Round 2 seat.

I was admitted in Round 2 and submitted willingness for Round 3. What do I need to do to be considered for Round 3 allotment?

You must pay your Round 3 Tuition Fee (since you have already joined a course). You must also ensure that your course preferences are filled in on the CENTAC portal. If you meet these conditions, you will be considered for allotment in Round 3.

I have not yet joined any course. What fee do I need to pay for Round 3?

You must pay your Round 3 Registration Fee. This is different from the Tuition Fee, which is paid only by candidates who have already joined a course.

I am a Puducherry SC student who was admitted under Government Quota in Round 1. I submitted willingness for Round 3. Do I need to pay the Round 3 Registration Fee?

Yes. Even though you have already joined a course in Round 1, you must pay your Round 3 Registration Fee to be considered for allotment in Round 3. This is a special requirement for Puducherry SC, ST, EBC, and Government School students admitted under Government Quota.

I filled in my course preferences in Round 2. Do I need to fill them in again for Round 3?

The notice does not explicitly state whether Round 2 preferences carry over to Round 3. However, it clearly states that candidates whose course preferences are empty will not be considered for allotment in Round 3. To be safe, log into your dashboard and verify that your course preferences are filled in for Round 3. If they are empty, fill them in immediately.

My name is not on the Round 3 Eligible Candidates List. What should I do?

First, verify that you searched correctly on the CENTAC website (www.centacpuducherry.in) using your registration number. If you still cannot find your name, submit an objection through the Grievances option in your dashboard before 09.10.2026, 11:00 AM, or call the helpline at 0413-2655570 or 0413-2655571.

When is the deadline to submit objections to the eligible candidates list?

The deadline is 09.10.2026 at 11:00 AM. No objections will be accepted after this time. Submit your objection as soon as possible through the Grievances option in your CENTAC dashboard.

What happens after the objection deadline?

After 09.10.2026, 11:00 AM, CENTAC will review any objections received and finalize the eligible candidates list. The next step will be the publication of the Round 3 allotment result, which will assign seats to eligible candidates based on their merit rank, category, quota, and course preferences.

I submitted willingness for Round 3 but have not paid the registration fee yet. Can I still be allotted a seat?

No. Payment of the registration fee (or tuition fee if you have already joined) is mandatory. Willingness alone is not enough. You must pay the required fee to be considered for allotment in Round 3. Check your payment status on the CENTAC portal and pay immediately if you have not already done so.

Which courses are covered in Round 3?

Round 3 covers MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc.&A.H. (National — SS & NRI), and BAMS courses. These are the only courses for which seats will be allotted in Round 3.

I have questions about my eligibility or status. How can I contact CENTAC?

You can submit queries through the Grievances option in your CENTAC login dashboard, or you can call the helpline at 0413-2655570 or 0413-2655571 during business hours. Have your registration number ready when you contact them.

Check the Round 3 Eligible Candidates List on www.centacpuducherry.in immediately using your login credentials. Verify that your name appears and that your details are correct. If you are on the list and want to participate in Round 3 allotment, ensure you have submitted willingness, paid your registration fee (or tuition fee if already joined), and filled in your course preferences. If you find any errors or your name is missing, submit an objection through the Grievances option in your dashboard before 09.10.2026 at 11:00 AM. Do not delay — the objection deadline is less than 24 hours away.
