MedAdmit News Desk 9 Oct 2026 6 min read

On 9 October 2026, Rajasthan's NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission Board released the indicative (provisional) allocation results for Round-3 counselling. This is NOT a final allotment—it is a preliminary display to allow candidates to check their tentative seat assignment before the board completes verification and weeding. The board has issued an urgent notice asking all candidates to immediately report any discrepancies, technical errors, or misalignment between their choices and the displayed allocation. This is your window to flag problems before the final allotment is locked in.

The Round-3 indicative allocation is now live; if you spot any error in your displayed seat, choice order, or category, email support@neetrajasthan.com immediately—do not wait.

What Is the Indicative Allocation?

The indicative allocation is a preliminary, non-binding display of where the counselling algorithm has tentatively placed you based on your NEET rank, category, choices, and available seats. It is called 'indicative' because it is subject to verification, weeding (removal of ineligible candidates), and final confirmation by the board.

This is NOT your final seat. The board will now cross-check all candidates' documents, verify eligibility, remove any who do not meet criteria, and then issue the final allotment. However, the indicative allocation gives you a chance to spot errors early and report them before they become locked into the final result.

Why You Must Check Your Indicative Allocation Immediately

The board has marked this notice as 'High Priority' and is asking candidates to report problems 'immediately.' This signals that the window to flag errors is narrow. Once the board completes verification and weeding, corrections become much harder to make.

Common errors that slip through if not caught early include: your name or roll number displayed incorrectly, your category shown as different from what you applied for, your NEET score or rank wrong, your choices listed in the wrong order, or a seat allocated that you did not choose. Any of these can derail your admission if not corrected now.

What Counts as a Discrepancy, Technical Anomaly, or Choice Alignment Variance?

The notice specifically names three types of errors to report:

A **discrepancy** is any factual error—your name spelled wrong, your roll number incorrect, your NEET score or rank not matching your scorecard, your category listed as OBC when you applied as SC, or your domicile state wrong.

A **technical anomaly** is a system glitch—your allocation appears twice, your seat shows as both MBBS and BDS, your choice list is incomplete or jumbled, or the college name is misspelled or unrecognizable.

A **choice alignment variance** means the seat you were allocated does not match any of the choices you filled. For example, you chose only MBBS seats but were allocated a BDS seat, or you chose colleges in Jaipur but were allocated one in Udaipur, or the seat rank is lower than your choices should have allowed.

  • Discrepancy: factual error in your personal data, score, rank, category, or domicile
  • Technical anomaly: system error, duplicate entry, incomplete choice list, or garbled college name
  • Choice alignment variance: allocated seat does not match any choice you submitted

How to Report an Error

The board has provided a single point of contact for all error reports: **support@neetrajasthan.com**. Send an email immediately if you spot any problem. Do not wait, do not assume it will be corrected automatically, and do not contact the college directly—go to the board.

In your email, include: your full name, NEET roll number, the specific error you found (describe it clearly), and a screenshot or photo of the indicative allocation showing the error. Be concise but complete. The board will review your report and correct the error before the final allotment is issued.

  • Email address: support@neetrajasthan.com
  • Include: your name, NEET roll number, description of the error, and screenshot of the indicative allocation
  • Send immediately—do not delay

Important: This Is NOT Your Final Seat

The notice explicitly states: 'Only Indicative with no claim/right on allotted seats.' This means you have no legal right to the seat shown in the indicative allocation. It is a preview only. The board will now verify all candidates' documents, remove those who are ineligible, and then issue the final allotment.

Do not celebrate or resign from another seat based on the indicative allocation. Do not assume you are guaranteed the college or course shown. Wait for the final allotment notice before taking any action.

After the board receives error reports, it will review them during the verification and weeding phase. If your error is confirmed, the board will correct it in the final allotment. If the error is not confirmed (e.g., you misread the allocation), the board will not change it.

The final allotment will be issued after verification and weeding are complete. The board will announce the date and time when the final result is ready. At that point, you will see the corrected allocation (if your error was valid) or the same allocation (if no error was found).

Key Dates and Timeline

The indicative allocation was released on 9 October 2026. The board has not announced a specific deadline for reporting errors, but the notice's 'High Priority' tag and the word 'immediately' suggest you should report within hours or at most a day or two. Do not assume you have a week.

After error reports are collected, the board will proceed with verification and weeding. The final allotment date has not been announced in this notice, but based on the Round-3 schedule, it is expected within the next few days. Check the counselling portal regularly for updates.

  • Indicative allocation released: 9 October 2026
  • Report errors: immediately (no specific deadline given—assume within 24–48 hours)
  • Final allotment: expected within days (date to be announced)

What If You Don't Report an Error?

If you spot an error but do not report it, the error will likely carry forward into the final allotment. Once the final allotment is issued, correcting errors becomes much harder and may require a formal appeal or petition to the board, which can delay your admission.

The board is giving you a clear, easy way to fix problems now. Use it. Reporting takes 5 minutes; fixing it later can take weeks.

Reminder: Choice Filling and Security Deposit Deadlines Have Passed

The notice also reminds candidates that the choice-filling deadline (11:45 PM on 7 October 2026) and the security deposit deadline (extended to 7 PM on 7 October 2026) have both passed. No more requests for deletion of choices or extension of the deposit deadline will be accepted.

If you did not fill your choices or pay the security deposit by the deadline, you are not eligible for Round-3 allocation. If you believe you have a valid reason for missing the deadline, contact the board immediately, but do not expect an extension.

Frequently asked questions

What does 'indicative allocation' mean? Is it my final seat?

No. The indicative allocation is a preliminary display of where the algorithm has tentatively placed you based on your rank, category, and choices. It is subject to verification, weeding, and final confirmation. The notice explicitly states it carries 'no claim/right on allotted seats.' Wait for the final allotment before treating it as confirmed.

I see an error in my indicative allocation. What should I do?

Email support@neetrajasthan.com immediately with your name, NEET roll number, a clear description of the error, and a screenshot of the allocation. Do not wait. The board will review your report and correct it in the final allotment if the error is valid.

What counts as an error I should report?

Report any discrepancy (wrong name, score, rank, category, or domicile), technical anomaly (duplicate entry, garbled college name, incomplete choice list), or choice alignment variance (allocated seat does not match any choice you submitted).

How long do I have to report an error?

The notice does not give a specific deadline but marks the request as 'High Priority' and says 'immediately.' This suggests you should report within hours or at most a day or two. Do not delay.

What happens if I don't report an error?

The error will likely carry into the final allotment. Correcting it after the final allotment is issued is much harder and may require a formal appeal, which can delay your admission. Report now while it is easy.

Can I resign from my Round-3 indicative seat and stay in my Round-2 seat?

The notice does not address this directly. However, the indicative allocation is not final, so you cannot resign from it yet. Once the final allotment is issued, you will have the option to resign if you wish. Check the board's resignation notice for the exact process and deadline.

When will the final allotment be released?

The notice does not announce the final allotment date. It will be released after verification and weeding are complete. Check the counselling portal regularly for updates.

I missed the choice-filling or security deposit deadline. Can I still participate in Round-3?

No. The notice confirms that both deadlines (choice filling at 11:45 PM on 7 October, security deposit at 7 PM on 7 October) have passed and no extensions will be granted. If you missed them, you are not eligible for Round-3. Contact the board only if you have a documented emergency.

My allocated seat is in a college I did not choose. Is this an error?

It could be. If the allocated seat does not match any of the choices you submitted, this is a 'choice alignment variance' and should be reported to support@neetrajasthan.com immediately. However, if the college is on your choice list but lower-ranked than you expected, it may not be an error—the algorithm fills seats in order of your choices and availability.

Can I contact the college directly to report an error in my allocation?

No. The board has asked all candidates to report errors to support@neetrajasthan.com, not to the college. The college has no authority to correct allocation errors. Always go through the board.

The indicative allocation for Rajasthan NEET UG Round-3 is now live. Check it immediately on the counselling portal. If you spot any error—wrong personal data, technical glitch, or seat that does not match your choices—email support@neetrajasthan.com right now with your name, roll number, and a screenshot. Do not assume errors will be fixed automatically; report them today. The final allotment will follow after verification and weeding are complete.
