Haryana NEET UG 2026 Document Verification: Complete Checklist

This is not optional: without these documents, your seat will be cancelled. If you do not bring a document, or if a document is invalid (wrong issue date, wrong issuing authority, missing information), your admission will be cancelled — even if you have already paid fees. Below is every document you must bring. Do not assume you know what is needed — read this list carefully and gather each one now, before your verification date is announced.

• Matriculation Certificate, High School Certificate, ICSE, Class X, or Class XII certificate (or equivalent) — this proves your date of birth

Critical Issue Date Requirements — Read This Carefully

Three categories of certificates have strict issue date rules. If your certificate is issued before the date specified, it will be rejected at verification, and your seat will be cancelled. This is the most common reason candidates lose their seats.

The three certificates with strict dates are: (1) Creamy Layer / Non-Creamy Layer certificate for BC-A and BC-B candidates, (2) Income and Asset certificate for EWS candidates, and (3) any other category certificate issued under the Haryana government notification dated 27.08.2026.

All three of these certificates must be issued for the year 2026-27 AND must be issued on or after 1 April 2026. If your certificate says it was issued on 31 March 2026 or earlier, it is invalid. You must obtain a fresh certificate dated 1 April 2026 or later. Do not wait until the last day of verification to check this — get your certificates now.

Documents for Specific Categories — Who Needs What

Not every candidate needs every document. Some documents are only required if you are claiming a specific category or quota. Below is a guide to which documents apply to you.

If you are claiming a reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, BC-A, BC-B), you must bring the caste certificate issued by the Haryana State Government. If you are claiming EWS (Economically Weaker Section), you must bring the Income and Asset certificate issued on or after 1 April 2026. If you are claiming BC-A or BC-B, you must also bring the Creamy Layer / Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 1 April 2026.

If you are a dependent of a Freedom Fighter, bring the certificate. Identity Proof — Which Documents Are Accepted

You must bring one form of identity proof. The notice lists seven acceptable documents. Any one of these is sufficient; you do not need to bring all of them, but it is wise to bring at least two in case one is misplaced.

NEET Exam Documents — Result Card and Admit Card

You must bring both your NEET-UG 2026 Result Card and your NEET-UG 2026 Admit Card. These are proof that you appeared in the exam and qualified. Do not lose these documents; if you have misplaced them, download them from the NTA website immediately.

The Result Card shows your score and rank. The Admit Card shows your roll number, exam center, and date of exam. Both are essential for verification. If you cannot produce either, your verification will be delayed or rejected.

Proof of Date of Birth — Matriculation or Class X/XII Certificate

The notice requires a Matriculation Certificate, High School Certificate, ICSE, Class X, or Class XII certificate as proof of your date of birth. This is the official record of when you were born, and it must match the date of birth you provided in your NEET application and counselling form.

If your date of birth in any of these documents does not match your NEET application, you will face a problem at verification. Check now: does your Class X or XII certificate show the same date of birth as your NEET admit card? If not, contact the school immediately to get a corrected certificate or an affidavit explaining the discrepancy.

Character Certificate — From Your School or a Magistrate

You must bring a character certificate from the head of the institution (school or college) you last attended. If you cannot obtain one from your school, you can get it from a First Class Executive Magistrate.

The character certificate is a statement that you are of good moral character and have no criminal record. It is a standard requirement for medical and dental admissions. If your school has closed or you cannot contact them, approach the nearest First Class Executive Magistrate (usually available at the district court or administrative office) and request a character certificate.

Resident Certificate and Bonafide Resident Certificate

If you are claiming a Haryana resident quota or if the counselling rules require proof of residency, you must bring a resident certificate or bonafide resident certificate issued by a competent authority of the Haryana State Government.

A resident certificate proves that you have lived in Haryana for a specified period (usually 5 years or more, depending on the rule). A bonafide resident certificate is issued to those who have lived in Haryana for a shorter period but have genuine ties to the state. Photographs — Three Passport-Size Copies

Application Form Printout and Proof of Fee Payment

You must bring a printout of your counselling application form and proof that you have paid the provisional tuition fee. The provisional fee is a deposit you pay when you accept your allotted seat; it is credited toward your final fees if you join the college.

The proof of payment is usually a receipt or confirmation email from the counselling portal. Keep this safe. If you have paid the fee online, take a screenshot or printout of the transaction confirmation. Without proof of payment, your verification will be incomplete.

Parivar Pehchan Patra — Mandatory Only for PMSS Scholarship Claimants

The Parivar Pehchan Patra (family identification card) is mandatory only if you are claiming the PMSS (Post Matric Scholarship Scheme). If you are not claiming PMSS, you do not need to bring this document separately — though it can be used as a proof of identity if you wish.

PMSS is a scholarship scheme for students from economically weaker backgrounds. If you are eligible and want to claim this scholarship, you must bring your Parivar Pehchan Patra at verification. If you do not have one, apply for it immediately at your nearest Anganwadi center or through the Haryana government portal.

This document verification requirement applies to all MBBS and BDS candidates seeking admission to any of the following institutions in Haryana for the 2026-27 academic session: government medical and dental colleges, government-aided medical and dental colleges, private medical and dental colleges, and medical and dental colleges under private universities.

Common Mistakes That Get Applications Rejected

Many candidates lose their seats because of preventable mistakes. Here are the most common ones:

1. Bringing a caste, EWS, or creamy layer certificate issued before 1 April 2026. This is the single most common reason for rejection. Check the issue date NOW. If it is before 1 April 2026, get a fresh certificate immediately.

2. Bringing a caste certificate from the wrong state. If you are from another state but now live in Haryana, your caste certificate must be issued by the Haryana State Government, not your home state. Contact the Haryana district administration to get a Haryana caste certificate.

3. Forgetting the NEET admit card or result card. These are not optional. If you have lost them, download them from the NTA website right now.

4. Bringing a character certificate from someone other than the head of your last institution or a First Class Executive Magistrate. Character certificates from teachers, principals' assistants, or other officials will not be accepted.

5. Bringing an expired or invalid identity proof. Check that your Aadhar, PAN, passport, or driving license is still valid.

6. Not bringing proof of payment of the provisional tuition fee. Without this, your verification will be incomplete.

7. Bringing photographs that are old, blurry, or do not match your current appearance. Bring fresh, clear photographs.

8. Mismatched date of birth. If your Class X certificate shows a different date of birth than your NEET admit card, get this corrected before verification.
