Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada has opened Phase-III (mop-up) counselling for BDS admissions under Management Quota for the 2026-27 academic year. This is the final round of counselling for BDS seats in private dental colleges across Andhra Pradesh. Eligible candidates must pay a ₹1 lakh refundable security deposit and exercise web options between 10 PM on 23 October and 4 PM on 24 October 2026. This round is open only to candidates on the updated merit list (as of 2 October, with addendums from 5 and 16 October) who have not already joined an MBBS or BDS seat in earlier phases. After Phase-III, there will be no sliding or free exit — this is your last chance to change colleges or categories.
BDS Phase-III web options open 23–24 October 2026; pay ₹1 lakh security deposit first, exercise options by 4 PM on 24 October, and know that no sliding or exit is allowed after this round.

Unlock My College ListWhat is Phase-III (Mop-up) Counselling?
Phase-III is the final round of counselling for BDS seats under Management Quota in private dental colleges in Andhra Pradesh. It is called a 'mop-up' round because it fills remaining vacant seats after Phase-I and Phase-II counselling. This round is open to candidates who are still on the merit list but have not yet been allotted a seat, or who were allotted a seat in an earlier phase but did not join.
This is your last opportunity to secure a BDS seat in Andhra Pradesh for 2026-27. After Phase-III, only a Stray Vacancy Round may be conducted (if seats remain unfilled), and no candidate will be allowed to slide to a different college or take a free exit. Once you join a seat in Phase-III, you are committed to that college for the entire course.
Who is Eligible to Participate?
You are eligible for Phase-III if your name appears on the Final Merit Position (updated) list displayed on 2 October 2026, or in the addendums issued on 5 October or 16 October 2026 on the NTRUHS website. However, certain candidates are excluded:
You are NOT eligible if: (1) you have already joined a BDS seat in Phase-I or Phase-II of Management Quota counselling; (2) you have been allotted a BDS seat in Phase-III of Competent Authority Quota (the state's own counselling); (3) you have been admitted to any MBBS course in Phase-I, Phase-II, or Phase-III of either Competent Authority or Management Quota; or (4) you have been allotted an MBBS seat in the Stray Round of either quota. Candidates who did not report to their allotted college in Phase-I or Phase-II, or who took a free exit in those rounds, may participate in Phase-III but cannot opt for the same college or seat they vacated.
- Your name must be on the Final Merit Position list (updated 2 Oct 2026) or addendums (5 Oct or 16 Oct 2026)
- You must not have joined any BDS seat in Phase-I or Phase-II
- You must not have been allotted any MBBS seat in any phase or round
- You must not have been allotted a BDS seat in Phase-III of Competent Authority Quota
- If you did not report in Phase-I/II or took free exit, you can participate but cannot re-opt that same seat
Important Dates and Web Options Schedule
The entire Phase-III process is compressed into two days. You must complete all steps within this window — there are no extensions.
Web options will be open from 10:00 PM on 23 October 2026 until 4:00 PM on 24 October 2026. You must log in to the portal https://drntr.uhsap.in, pay the security deposit, and submit your prioritised list of colleges during this time. After 4 PM on 24 October, the portal will close and no further options can be submitted or edited.

Security Deposit: ₹1 Lakh (Refundable)
Before you can exercise web options, you must pay a refundable security deposit of ₹1,00,000 (one lakh rupees) through online payment (debit card, credit card, or internet banking). This payment is mandatory and must be completed before you submit your college preferences. The university will not accept options without proof of this deposit.
The security deposit is refundable under the following conditions: (1) If you are allotted a seat and join it, the deposit is refunded after the closure of admissions. (2) If you are not allotted any seat, the deposit is refunded after the closure of admissions. (3) If you are allotted a seat but do not join it, the deposit is forfeited. (4) If your admission is cancelled later (e.g., due to false information, missing documents, or discrepancies found during verification), the deposit is forfeited.
⚠️ **Critical warning on payment:** The university is not responsible for failed transactions, bank declines, timeouts, or network issues. Before paying, ensure: (a) you have a strong, stable internet connection; (b) your card or net banking has no transaction limits that would block a ₹1 lakh payment; and (c) you allow sufficient time before the 4 PM deadline. Do not attempt payment in the last hour — if it fails, you will miss the deadline and lose your chance to participate.
- Amount: ₹1,00,000 (refundable)
- Payment method: Online only (debit card, credit card, or internet banking)
- Timing: Must be paid BEFORE exercising web options
- Refund if you join the allotted seat: Yes, after closure of admissions
- Refund if you are not allotted a seat: Yes, after closure of admissions
- Forfeited if you do not join an allotted seat: Yes
- Forfeited if admission is cancelled: Yes (e.g., false information, missing documents, certificate discrepancies)
University Fee and Tuition Fee
Once you are allotted a seat, you must pay two separate fees: the University Fee (to download your allotment order) and the Tuition Fee (to the college at the time of reporting).
**University Fee:** This is a one-time fee paid to NTRUHS to download your allotment order. For BDS under Management Quota, the fee is ₹18,100 for Category-B seats (private non-minority or minority colleges) and ₹40,100 for Category-C (NRI Quota) or NRI Lapsed seats. If you were allotted a seat in Phase-I or Phase-II under Management Quota and already paid the university fee, you do NOT need to pay again if your seat changes within the same category in Phase-III. However, you must still download the new allotment order and report to the newly allotted college with a Custodian Certificate from your previous college.
**Tuition Fee:** This is the annual fee charged by the college for the BDS course. For 2026-27, the interim tuition fee is ₹4,84,000 per year for Category-B seats and up to ₹14,52,000 per year for Category-C (NRI) seats. The total fee for the 4-year BDS course is collected year-wise at the beginning of each academic year. The exact tuition fee for Category-C (NRI) seats varies by college — refer to Annexure-II of the notification for your specific college. Tuition fees are subject to the outcome of pending court cases (W.P. Nos. 32975, 33162 & 35090 of 2022) and may change based on government orders.
- University Fee (Category-B): ₹18,100
- University Fee (Category-C / NRI): ₹40,100
- Tuition Fee (Category-B): ₹4,84,000 per year
- Tuition Fee (Category-C / NRI): Up to ₹14,52,000 per year (varies by college)
- Total tuition fee collected over 4 years, year-wise at the start of each year
- University fee is non-refundable under any circumstances
- If you were allotted in Phase-I/II and paid university fee, no re-payment needed if seat changes within same category

Select the colleges where you wish to study, and arrange them in order of your preference (1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, etc.). You can select as many colleges as you wish, but the order matters — allotments are made based on your priority ranking and seat availability.
**Step 4: Review Your Choices.** Carefully review the colleges and their order before submitting. The notification emphasises: 'Candidates are instructed to be careful while exercising options on the web.'
**Step 5: Submit Your Options.** Once you are satisfied with your choices, submit them. You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number and email. Enter this OTP to finalise your options.
**Step 6: Confirm and Print.** After OTP submission, your options are finalised. Take a printout of your saved options for your records. Do NOT attempt to edit after this point unless absolutely necessary.

Category-Specific Rules: B1, B2, and NRI
**Category-B1 (Muslim Minority Seats):** Only Muslim minority candidates are eligible to exercise web options for Category-B1 seats in private unaided minority dental colleges. If Muslim minority candidates are not available, these seats will be allotted to Non-Muslim Minority candidates in the Stray Vacancy Round (the next round after Phase-III). Muslim minority candidates are also eligible to apply for Category-B seats in other (non-minority) dental colleges.
**Category-B2 (General Management Seats):** These are open to all eligible candidates. There is no religious or community restriction.
**Category-C (NRI Quota) and NRI Lapsed:** Priority is given to candidates who hold valid NRI (Non-Resident Indian) status. If NRI candidates are not available, leftover Category-C seats are allotted to NRI Lapsed candidates (candidates who do not hold current NRI status but are eligible under the lapsed category). Candidates allotted seats under NRI Quota must produce relevant supporting documents (e.g., proof of NRI status) at the college. Candidates allotted seats under NRI Lapsed category must submit a notarised affidavit in original at the college.
**Sliding Between Categories:** If you were allotted a seat in Phase-I or Phase-II under Management Quota, you are eligible to slide (move) to a different college or even to a different category in Phase-III. For example, you can slide from Category-C to Category-B if you wish. However, if you slide to a different category, you may need to pay a different university fee.
- Category-B1 (Muslim Minority): Only Muslim minority candidates eligible; open to all colleges
- Category-B2 (General): Open to all eligible candidates
- Category-C (NRI): Priority to NRI candidates; leftover seats allotted to NRI Lapsed
- NRI candidates must produce supporting documents at college
- NRI Lapsed candidates must submit notarised affidavit at college
- Candidates from Phase-I/II can slide to different college or category in Phase-III
- Sliding from Category-C to Category-B is allowed
Critical Traps: What Gets Your Admission Cancelled
**Trap 1: False Information at Registration.** If you provide false or misleading information when registering for counselling (e.g., wrong category, false caste certificate, incorrect merit score), and a seat is allotted to you based on this false information, your admission will be cancelled when the discrepancy is discovered. Your security deposit will be forfeited, and legal action may be initiated against you.
**Trap 2: Missing or Incorrect Documents at Reporting.** When you report to the college after allotment, you must produce all original certificates (10th, 12th, NEET scorecard, category certificate if applicable, etc.). If any document is missing, incorrect, or does not match the information in your application, your provisional allotment will be cancelled. The college will not admit you until all documents are verified and correct.
Every kind of MBBS/BDS seat, one rank
See the real seats your NEET rank can reach.
**Trap 3: Certificate Discrepancies Found During Verification.** The notification states: 'Final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the college of admission and in case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be cancelled and action will be initiated as per University Regulations.' This means even if you are allotted a seat, it can be cancelled if your certificates do not match your application.
**Trap 4: Not Reporting to the Allotted College.** If you are allotted a seat in Phase-III and do not report to the college by the date specified in the allotment order, your seat will be cancelled and your security deposit will be forfeited. There is no grace period or extension.
**Trap 5: Attempting to Block or Cancel a Seat.** The university explicitly states: 'Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences does not entertain or support seat blocking/cancellation of BDS seats. In case any student is found involved in seat blocking, legal action will be initiated against such candidate as per rules.' Do not attempt to hold a seat while waiting for another college or round.
**Trap 6: Sharing Login Credentials.** The notification warns: 'It is the responsibility of the candidates that their individual login details, email ID, OTPs should not share with any other person. The candidate is totally responsible for the misuse of the same and also for web options exercised from his/her login.' If someone else uses your login and exercises options on your behalf, you are responsible for those choices.
- False information at registration → admission cancelled, deposit forfeited, legal action possible
- Missing or incorrect documents at reporting → provisional allotment cancelled
- Certificate discrepancies found during verification → allotment cancelled
- Not reporting by the date in allotment order → seat cancelled, deposit forfeited
- Attempting to block or cancel a seat → legal action initiated
- Sharing login credentials → you are responsible for any options exercised from your account
Reporting to the College and Joining
Once you are allotted a seat in Phase-III, you must report to the allotted college by the date specified in your allotment order. Reporting is compulsory — if you do not report by the deadline, your seat will be cancelled and your security deposit will be forfeited.
**What to Bring When Reporting:** Bring the following to the college: (1) Downloaded allotment order; (2) All original certificates (10th, 12th, NEET scorecard, category certificate if applicable, etc.); (3) Copy of your final application form; (4) Custodian Certificate issued by your previous college (if you are sliding from another college in Phase-I or Phase-II); (5) Proof of payment of university fee.
**What Happens at the College:** The college will verify your original certificates against your application. If everything matches, you will be admitted. You will then pay the tuition fee and college fee as prescribed by the college. After this, you cannot resign or withdraw from the course until the closure of admissions.
**Important:** If you were allotted a seat in Phase-I or Phase-II and are now sliding to a different college in Phase-III, your original certificates will be sent to the newly allotted college by your previous college after the closure of admissions. You must report to the new college with the downloaded allotment order and the Custodian Certificate from your previous college. If you fail to report or complete the admission process at the new college, you will forfeit the admission.
- Reporting is compulsory by the date in the allotment order
- Bring: allotment order, original certificates, application copy, custodian certificate (if sliding), proof of university fee payment
- College will verify your certificates
- Pay tuition fee and college fee at the college
- You cannot withdraw from the course until closure of admissions
- If sliding from another college, report with custodian certificate from previous college
No Sliding or Free Exit After Phase-III
This is a critical rule: **There will be no sliding or free exit after Phase-III of counselling.** This means once you join a seat in Phase-III, you are locked into that college for the entire BDS course. You cannot move to a different college, and you cannot take a free exit (resign without penalty) after Phase-III.
If you are allotted a seat in Phase-III and join it, you must complete your BDS course at that college. If you later wish to move to a different college, you will have to go through the formal withdrawal process, which may involve penalties or loss of fees.
This is why it is crucial to carefully prioritise your colleges when exercising web options. Think through your preferences thoroughly before submitting, because you will not have another chance to change after Phase-III.
- No sliding to a different college after Phase-III
- No free exit after Phase-III
- Once you join a seat in Phase-III, you are committed to that college for the entire course
- Carefully prioritise your colleges before submitting options
What Happens After Phase-III: Stray Vacancy Round
After Phase-III, if seats remain unfilled or if candidates do not report to their allotted colleges, a Stray Vacancy Round may be conducted. This round is subject to the availability of seats and will fill: (1) unfilled seats in Phase-III, if any; and (2) seats vacated by candidates who did not report or who joined in Phase-I/II but did not report in Phase-III.
Eligibility and other conditions for the Stray Vacancy Round are detailed in the 'Information on Counselling Procedure' notification issued on 11 September 2026. If you are interested in the Stray Round, refer to that notification for details.
- Stray Vacancy Round may be conducted after Phase-III
- Fills unfilled seats and seats vacated by non-reporting candidates
- Subject to availability of seats
- Refer to 'Information on Counselling Procedure' (11 Sept 2026) for eligibility and conditions

See My CollegesFrequently asked questions
I was allotted a seat in Phase-I but did not join. Can I participate in Phase-III?
Yes, you can participate in Phase-III if your name is on the Final Merit Position list (updated 2 October 2026) or the addendums (5 or 16 October 2026). However, you cannot opt for the same college or seat you vacated in Phase-I. You can choose a different college or category. If you slide to a different category, you may need to pay a different university fee.
What happens if my payment of the ₹1 lakh security deposit fails due to a network issue?
The university is not responsible for failed transactions, bank declines, or timeouts. You must ensure you have a strong internet connection and that your card/net banking has no transaction limits blocking a ₹1 lakh payment. If your payment fails, you will not be able to exercise web options. Do not attempt payment in the last hour before the 4 PM deadline — allow sufficient time for the transaction to complete.
Can I edit my web options after I submit them?
Yes, but only before the 4 PM deadline on 24 October 2026. If you edit your options, you must re-submit them with the OTP. Any edits made after the deadline will not be accepted. After 4 PM, your last saved version becomes your final choice. The notification advises: 'It is advisable to avoid changes thereafter.'
I am a Muslim minority candidate. Can I apply for Category-B seats in non-minority colleges?
Yes. Category-B1 seats are reserved for Muslim minority candidates in minority colleges only. However, Muslim minority candidates are also eligible to apply for Category-B seats in other (non-minority) dental colleges. You can prioritise both types of colleges in your web options.
What is the difference between Category-C (NRI) and NRI Lapsed?
Category-C (NRI) seats are for candidates who hold valid NRI (Non-Resident Indian) status. NRI Lapsed seats are for candidates who do not currently hold NRI status but are eligible under the lapsed category. Priority is given to NRI candidates; if NRI candidates are not available, leftover Category-C seats are allotted to NRI Lapsed candidates. If you are allotted an NRI Lapsed seat, you must submit a notarised affidavit at the college.
If I am allotted a seat in Phase-III and join it, can I move to a different college later?
No. The notification clearly states: 'There will be no sliding or free exit after Phase-III of counselling.' Once you join a seat in Phase-III, you are committed to that college for the entire BDS course. You cannot move to a different college without going through a formal withdrawal process, which may involve penalties. This is why you must carefully prioritise your colleges before submitting your web options.
What documents must I bring when reporting to the college after allotment?
Bring: (1) Downloaded allotment order; (2) All original certificates (10th, 12th, NEET scorecard, category certificate if applicable); (3) Copy of your final application form; (4) Custodian Certificate from your previous college (if you are sliding from Phase-I or Phase-II); (5) Proof of payment of university fee. The college will verify all documents. If any document is missing or incorrect, your provisional allotment will be cancelled.
I provided false information when registering for counselling. What will happen?
If false information is discovered, your admission will be cancelled, your security deposit will be forfeited, and legal action may be initiated against you. The notification warns: 'In case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the Admission Authorities at the time of reporting or fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission (within stipulated time), the Security Deposit will be forfeited.' Do not provide false information.
If I am allotted a seat but do not report to the college by the deadline, what happens?
Your seat will be cancelled and your security deposit will be forfeited. Reporting is compulsory by the date specified in your allotment order. There is no grace period or extension. If you cannot report by the deadline, you will lose your seat and your ₹1 lakh deposit.
Will the university refund my ₹1 lakh security deposit?
Yes, if you join the allotted seat or if you are not allotted any seat. The deposit is refunded after the closure of admissions. However, the deposit is forfeited if: (1) you are allotted a seat but do not join it; (2) your admission is cancelled due to false information, missing documents, or certificate discrepancies; or (3) you are involved in seat blocking. The university will display a list of eligible and ineligible candidates for refund after the closure of admissions.
What is the tuition fee for BDS in Category-B and Category-C?
For Category-B (Management Quota), the interim tuition fee is ₹4,84,000 per year. For Category-C (NRI Quota), the fee is up to ₹14,52,000 per year and varies by college. The total fee is collected over 4 years, year-wise at the beginning of each academic year. Tuition fees are subject to the outcome of pending court cases and may change based on government orders. Refer to Annexure-II of the notification for the exact fee of your specific college.
I am allotted a seat in Phase-III and want to slide from my Phase-II college. What documents do I need?
You must report to the newly allotted college with: (1) Downloaded allotment order; (2) Custodian Certificate issued by your previous college under Dr. NTR UHS; (3) Proof of payment of university fee (if applicable). Your original certificates will be sent to the new college by your previous college after the closure of admissions. If you fail to report or complete the admission process at the new college, you will forfeit the admission.
Phase-III web options are open from 10 PM on 23 October to 4 PM on 24 October 2026. Pay the ₹1 lakh refundable security deposit immediately, log in to https://drntr.uhsap.in, carefully prioritise your colleges, and submit your options with OTP before the 4 PM deadline. Remember: this is your last chance to secure a BDS seat — after Phase-III, there is no sliding or free exit. Report to your allotted college by the date in the allotment order with all original certificates and required documents. For help, call the help desk numbers provided.
