The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the provisional seat allotment results for round 1 of NEET PG counselling 2026. Candidates who have been allotted seats now face a critical reporting window: they must complete their admission process at their assigned institutes between November 5 and November 10, 2026. This is a time-sensitive step—missing the reporting deadline can result in forfeiture of your seat. Understanding the exact reporting schedule, required documents, and venue rules is essential to secure your PG admission.

Allotted NEET PG candidates in West Bengal must report to their assigned institutes between November 5–10, 2026 (10 am–4 pm on Nov 5, 6, 7, and 10) with original documents and admission fee to confirm their seat.

How to Check Your WB NEET PG Round 1 Seat Allotment Result

The provisional seat allotment result is now live on the official WBMCC portal. To access your allotment status, visit wbmcc.nic.in and navigate to the PG Medical Counselling 2026 section on the homepage. Look for the round 1 seat allotment result link in the download section and click on it to open the result PDF.

Once the PDF loads, use the Ctrl + F keyboard shortcut to search for your name or roll number within the document. This will quickly locate your allotment details, including the college name, course (speciality), and other admission information. Download and print the result PDF immediately for your records—you will need a copy during the reporting and document verification process.

Critical Reporting Dates and Timings for NEET PG Admission

The reporting window is strictly limited to four days: November 5, 6, 7, and 10, 2026. On each of these dates, reporting will be open from 10 am to 4 pm (server time). Note that November 8 and 9 are not reporting days, so plan your visit accordingly. Missing this window means your seat will be cancelled and offered to the next candidate on the merit list.

Candidates must report in person at their allotted institute during these hours. If you are allotted a seat in a private medical college, you will report to a designated government medical college in Kolkata for the admission process, not directly to the private college. Similarly, if you are allotted a private dental college seat, you must report to Dr R Ahmed Dental College in Kolkata. Clarify your reporting venue from the allotment result or the WBMCC website before you travel.

Documents You Must Carry for Reporting and Admission

Bring all original documents to your reporting venue. The WBMCC will conduct physical document verification before your admission is confirmed. Without original documents, your admission cannot be finalized, and you risk losing your seat. Prepare a checklist of essentials: your NEET PG admit card, NEET PG result scorecard, MBBS degree certificate or provisional certificate, medical registration certificate (if available), identity proof, and any other documents specified in the allotment letter.

In addition to documents, you must carry the college admission fee in the form and amount specified by WBMCC. The exact fee structure and payment method will be mentioned in your allotment result or on the official website. Failure to pay the admission fee during reporting will delay or cancel your admission. Verify the fee amount and acceptable payment modes (cash, cheque, demand draft, online transfer) before you visit the reporting centre.

  • Original NEET PG admit card
  • NEET PG result scorecard
  • MBBS degree certificate or provisional certificate
  • Medical registration certificate (if issued)
  • Valid identity proof (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence)
  • College admission fee (as specified in allotment letter)
  • Any other documents mentioned in the allotment result

Document Verification Process and Admission Confirmation

Once you report at the designated centre with your documents and fee, the WBMCC will verify the authenticity and completeness of your original documents. This is a mandatory step before your admission is formally confirmed. The verification process typically takes a few hours, so plan to spend sufficient time at the reporting centre. Do not leave until you receive written confirmation that your documents have been verified and your admission is confirmed.

After successful document verification, you will receive an admission confirmation letter or receipt. Keep this document safe—it is proof of your admission and may be required for hostel allotment, stipend processing, or other administrative purposes. If any document is found to be incomplete or invalid, you will be informed immediately, and you may be given a chance to submit the missing document or clarification within a specified timeframe.

If you have been allotted a seat in a private medical college, note that you will not report directly to the private college. Instead, you must report to a designated government medical college in Kolkata for the admission process. This centralised reporting system ensures uniform verification and admission procedures across all private colleges in West Bengal. The specific government college venue will be mentioned in your allotment result.

Similarly, candidates allotted seats in private dental colleges must report to Dr R Ahmed Dental College in Kolkata, not to their allotted private dental college. This arrangement is part of the WBMCC's standardised counselling protocol. Confirm the exact address and reporting instructions for your designated centre from the allotment result or the WBMCC website to avoid confusion or delays.

What Happens If You Miss the Reporting Deadline

If you do not report within the specified window (November 5–10, 2026), your seat will be automatically cancelled. WBMCC will then offer your seat to the next eligible candidate on the merit list. There is typically no grace period or extension for reporting, so treat these dates as absolute deadlines. If you have a genuine emergency (medical, family crisis, travel delay), contact WBMCC immediately to request an extension, but such requests are rarely granted.

To avoid missing the deadline, plan your travel and document preparation well in advance. If you are reporting from outside West Bengal, book your travel tickets early and arrive at least one day before your chosen reporting date. Keep the WBMCC contact details handy in case you need to clarify any last-minute details or report an unavoidable delay.

Next Steps After Admission Confirmation

Once your admission is confirmed and you receive the admission letter, your next steps include hostel allotment (if applicable), fee payment to the college, and registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Board of Examinations (NBE) for your PG course. Some colleges may conduct an orientation programme for new PG students; attend it to understand the course structure, faculty, and college policies.

Keep all admission-related documents in a safe place. You will need them for hostel applications, stipend processing, bond signing (if applicable), and future reference. If your course involves a bond or service obligation, read the terms carefully before signing. Contact your college's PG office or admission cell if you have any questions about fees, hostel, or course-related matters.
