Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun has released the provisional broadsheet for the Special Stray Round of NEET UG 2026 counselling. This list shows provisional seat allotments to candidates across MBBS and BDS programmes in Uttarakhand medical and dental colleges. The allotments are based on NEET UG 2026 merit, security money deposited, and candidate preferences filled during the online application. This is a critical document—your allotted seat is provisional only and depends on final verification of documents at the college. If you find any error in your data or allotment, you must report it immediately to avoid losing your seat.

Your allotment is provisional and will be cancelled if you fail to produce original documents proving eligibility and reservation at admission; report any discrepancies by 08-10-2026 4:00 PM or lose the right to challenge.

What is the Special Stray Round?

The Special Stray Round is a final counselling round conducted after the main and subsequent rounds of NEET UG 2026 counselling. It is designed to fill any remaining vacant seats in MBBS and BDS colleges across Uttarakhand. Candidates who did not secure a seat in earlier rounds, or who wish to upgrade their allotment, are eligible to participate in this round.

This round follows the same merit-based allocation system as earlier rounds, using your NEET UG 2026 score, All India Rank (AIR), state rank, category, and the preferences you filled in the online application form. Seats are allocated across both All India Open Quota and State Quota, and across reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS) and unreserved (UR/General) seats.

Understanding the Provisional Broadsheet

The broadsheet is a detailed table listing all candidates allotted seats in this round. Each row contains your personal data, NEET scores, domicile status, category, preferences you filled, and the college, course, quota, and category against which you have been allotted a seat. The allotment is shown in the 'Alloted College', 'Alloted Quota', and 'Alloted Category' columns.

The word 'provisional' is critical. This allotment is NOT final. It is based on the information you provided in your online application form. The university will verify this information against your original documents when you report to the allotted college for admission. If any discrepancy is found—or if you fail to produce required documents—your allotment will be cancelled and you will lose your seat.

How to Find Your Name and Allotment

The broadsheet lists candidates by their UK State Rank (Special Stray Round). Search for your name or NEET roll number in the list. Once you locate your entry, check the following columns carefully:

• Your name, sex, roll number, and NEET marks and percentile • Your claimed domicile (state) and category (General, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS) • The college allotted to you (e.g., Himalayan Institute of Medical Science, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute, Gautam Buddha Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya, Uttaranchal Dental College, Seema Dental College) • The course allotted (MBBS or BDS) • The quota under which you are allotted (All India Open Quota or State Quota) • The category against which the seat is allotted (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc.) • Your preference number (which of your listed preferences this college was)

Critical: Discrepancies Must Be Reported by 08-10-2026 4:00 PM

If you find ANY error in the broadsheet—in your name, roll number, NEET marks, domicile, category, or allotted college/course—you MUST report it to the university immediately. The deadline is 08-10-2026 up to 4:00 PM. After this deadline, the provisional result will be finalized and allotment letters will be uploaded on the counselling portal. Once finalized, you cannot challenge the allotment in court.

To report a discrepancy, email the university at ukneetcounselling@gmail.com with your roll number, name, the error you found, and supporting evidence. Do not wait—missing this deadline means you lose your right to correct the error.

  • Email: ukneetcounselling@gmail.com
  • Last date and time: 08-10-2026 up to 4:00 PM
  • After this, the result is final and cannot be challenged in court

What Happens After the Provisional Broadsheet?

After the discrepancy reporting deadline (08-10-2026 4:00 PM), the university will finalize the provisional result. Allotment letters will then be uploaded on the official counselling portal. You will be able to download your allotment letter from the portal using your roll number and password.

Once you receive your allotment letter, you must report to the allotted college on the date and time specified in the letter. Reporting late or failing to report will result in forfeiture of your seat.

Essential Documents You Must Produce at Admission

This is the most important section. The university has made it clear: if you fail to produce the required original documents at the time of admission, your allotment will be cancelled and you will lose your seat. There is no second chance. Prepare and carry ALL of the following documents in original form:

• NEET UG 2026 admit card • NEET UG 2026 result/score card • 10th class mark sheet and certificate • 12th class mark sheet and certificate • PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) mark sheet from 12th • Domicile certificate (issued by the state government, showing your state of residence) • Category certificate (if you have claimed SC, ST, OBC-NCL, or EWS category)—this must be in the prescribed format and issued by the competent authority • Caste subcategory certificate (if applicable, e.g., for OBC-NCL candidates) • Widow/Widower/Divorced (WKM) certificate (if applicable) • PwD (Person with Disability) certificate (if applicable) • Migration certificate (if you studied outside your domicile state) • Character certificate from your school/college • Medical fitness certificate • Passport-size photographs (as per college requirement) • Any other document specified in the college's admission prospectus

Category Certificate: Critical Requirements

If you have claimed a reserved category (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS), your category certificate MUST meet specific requirements, or it will be rejected and your allotment cancelled. Pay close attention to these rules:

• The certificate must be issued by the Competent Authority (as defined by the state government or NMC/DCI guidelines) • For OBC-NCL candidates: the certificate must explicitly state that your caste is on the Central List of OBCs and is NOT on the Creamy Layer list • For SC/ST candidates: the certificate must clearly state your caste/tribe name and that you belong to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe • For EWS candidates: the certificate must confirm that your annual family income is below the EWS threshold (currently ₹8 lakh per annum) and that you do not belong to any reserved category • The certificate must be recent (usually issued within the last 3 years) and must not be expired • The certificate must be in the original form—photocopies or scanned copies will NOT be accepted

  • Issued by Competent Authority only
  • OBC-NCL: must state 'Central List' and 'NOT Creamy Layer'
  • SC/ST: must state caste/tribe name clearly
  • EWS: must confirm income below ₹8 lakh and no other reservation
  • Must be original, recent, and not expired

Domicile Certificate: What You Need

Your domicile certificate is proof that you are a resident of the state you have claimed. This is essential for State Quota seats. The certificate must be issued by the state government (typically by the District Magistrate, Tehsildar, or other competent authority) and must clearly state your name, date of birth, and the state of domicile. If you have claimed a domicile different from your actual state of residence, your allotment will be cancelled at the time of admission.

  • Issued by District Magistrate, Tehsildar, or state government authority
  • Must clearly state your name, DOB, and state of domicile
  • Must be original and recent

Quota and Category Explained

Your allotment shows two key pieces of information: the Quota and the Category. Understanding these is essential.

**Quota** refers to the pool of seats from which you are allotted: • **All India Open Quota (AIUQ)**: These are seats available to candidates from any state in India. Competition is national. • **State Quota**: These are seats reserved for candidates who are domiciled in Uttarakhand. If you have claimed Uttarakhand domicile, you are eligible for State Quota seats. **Category** refers to the reservation under which your seat is allotted: • **UR (Unreserved/General)**: Open to all candidates, no reservation. • **SC (Scheduled Caste)**: Reserved for candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste. • **ST (Scheduled Tribe)**: Reserved for candidates belonging to a Scheduled Tribe. • **OBC-NCL (Other Backward Class – Central List)**: Reserved for candidates belonging to an OBC on the Central List and not on the Creamy Layer. • **EWS (Economically Weaker Section)**: Reserved for candidates from economically weaker sections (annual family income below ₹8 lakh). • **Women**: Some seats may be reserved for women candidates within each category. If you have claimed a reserved category but your allotment shows UR, it means you have been allotted a general seat (either because no reserved seat was available at your merit rank, or because you did not qualify for the reserved category).

What 'No Choices Filled' Means

Some candidates in the broadsheet show 'No Choices filled by the candidate' in the 'Opted preferences' column. This means the candidate did not fill any college/course preferences during the online application. In such cases, the allotment is made based on the candidate's merit rank and available seats, but the candidate has no say in which college or course they receive. If you see this against your name and you are certain you filled preferences, report it immediately as a discrepancy.

What 'Seat Not Available as per Merit/Choices' Means

Some candidates show a remark 'Seat not available as per Merit/Choices'. This means that although the candidate was eligible and had filled preferences, no seat matching their merit rank and preferences was available in this round. Such candidates have NOT been allotted a seat and should wait for further rounds or counselling if announced.

What 'Already Admitted in MCC' Means

Some candidates show a remark 'Already admitted in MCC' (Medical Counselling Committee). This means the candidate has already been admitted to a seat in an earlier round of counselling conducted by MCC (national-level counselling). Such candidates are not eligible for further allotments in state-level counselling and should not report to any college in this round.

Important Warnings and Traps

⚠️ **Your allotment is NOT a seat guarantee.** It is provisional and subject to verification of documents. Many candidates lose their seats at the admission stage because they fail to produce original documents or because documents do not match the information in their application. ⚠️ **Discrepancies reported after 08-10-2026 4:00 PM will NOT be entertained.** The result will be finalized and you will lose the right to challenge it in court. ⚠️ **Category certificates must be from the Competent Authority.** Certificates from any other source will be rejected. If you have an old or incorrect certificate, obtain a new one immediately. ⚠️ **Domicile mismatch will result in cancellation.** If you have claimed a domicile but your actual residence is in a different state, your allotment will be cancelled at admission. ⚠️ **Original documents only.** Photocopies, scanned copies, or e-certificates will NOT be accepted. Bring originals. ⚠️ **Do not miss the reporting date.** If you do not report to the allotted college on the date specified in your allotment letter, your seat will be forfeited. ⚠️ **The provisional result cannot be challenged in court.** Once finalized (after 08-10-2026 4:00 PM), you have no legal recourse if you find an error.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my name in the provisional broadsheet?

Search for your NEET roll number or name in the broadsheet. The list is organized by UK State Rank (Special Stray Round). Once you find your entry, check all columns to verify your allotment details.

What does 'provisional' allotment mean? Is my seat confirmed?

No, your seat is NOT confirmed. 'Provisional' means the allotment is based on the information you provided in your application form and is subject to final verification of your original documents at the college. If any discrepancy is found or if you fail to produce required documents, your allotment will be cancelled.

I found an error in my allotment. What should I do?

Email the university immediately at ukneetcounselling@gmail.com with your roll number, name, the error, and supporting evidence. The deadline is 08-10-2026 up to 4:00 PM. After this, the result is finalized and you cannot challenge it.

What documents must I bring to the college for admission?

You must bring originals of: NEET admit card and score card, 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, domicile certificate, category certificate (if applicable), migration certificate (if applicable), character certificate, medical fitness certificate, and any other document specified by the college. Photocopies will NOT be accepted.

My category certificate is old. Will it be accepted?

Category certificates must be recent (usually issued within the last 3 years) and must be from the Competent Authority. If your certificate is old or from an incorrect authority, obtain a new one immediately. An incorrect or expired certificate will result in cancellation of your allotment.

I claimed OBC-NCL category. What must my certificate state?

Your OBC-NCL certificate must explicitly state that your caste is on the Central List of OBCs and is NOT on the Creamy Layer. If it does not state this clearly, it will be rejected and your allotment cancelled.

What if I don't report to the college on the specified date?

If you do not report on the date specified in your allotment letter, your seat will be forfeited. You will lose your allotment and will not be eligible for further counselling in this round.

Can I challenge the allotment in court if I find an error after 08-10-2026 4:00 PM?

No. The university has stated that after the discrepancy reporting deadline (08-10-2026 4:00 PM), the provisional result will be finalized and cannot be challenged in court. You must report all errors before this deadline.

What does 'Seat not available as per Merit/Choices' mean?

This means no seat matching your merit rank and preferences was available in this round. You have NOT been allotted a seat. You should wait for further rounds or counselling if announced.

I see 'Already admitted in MCC' against my name. What does this mean?

This means you have already been admitted to a seat in an earlier round of national-level counselling (MCC). You are not eligible for further allotments in state-level counselling and should not report to any college in this round.

What is the difference between All India Open Quota and State Quota?

All India Open Quota seats are available to candidates from any state in India. State Quota seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in Uttarakhand. If you have claimed Uttarakhand domicile, you are eligible for State Quota seats, which typically have lower cutoffs than All India Open Quota.

If my allotment shows UR (Unreserved) but I claimed a reserved category, what does this mean?

It means you have been allotted a general (unreserved) seat. This can happen if no reserved seat was available at your merit rank, or if your category claim was not accepted. You should verify your category certificate and report any discrepancy before 08-10-2026 4:00 PM.

Check the provisional broadsheet immediately for your name and allotment details. If you find any error—in your personal data, category, domicile, or allotted college—report it to ukneetcounselling@gmail.com by 08-10-2026 4:00 PM. After this deadline, the result is final and cannot be challenged. Prepare all original documents (NEET score card, 10th/12th certificates, domicile, category certificate, etc.) and report to your allotted college on the date specified in your allotment letter. Failure to produce original documents or to report on time will result in cancellation of your seat.
