The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), which runs Uttarakhand's State Centralised Counselling for NEET UG, has released a REVISED schedule for Round 1 of MBBS and BDS admissions for NEET UG 2026. This notice fixes new dates for online registration, choice filling, fee payment, result declaration and college joining. It replaces any earlier timeline for Round 1 that candidates may have seen. This is a schedule announcement, not a result or a new eligibility rule — but every date in it matters because missing a window here can cost you a seat in this round.

Candidates eligible under Uttarakhand's state norms and qualified in NEET UG 2026 must complete registration, choice filling and fee payment between 13 August 2026 (11:00 AM) and 24 August 2026 (5:00 PM), with Round 1 results on 27 August 2026 and college joining by 5 September 2026.

What this notice covers

This is the revised Round 1 schedule for the Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling for NEET UG 2026, covering both MBBS and BDS seats filled through the state's own counselling process (as opposed to the seats filled by the central Medical Counselling Committee, MCC).

The schedule applies only to candidates who are (a) eligible under State Government of Uttarakhand norms — that is, they meet whatever domicile, category or other state-specific eligibility conditions apply — and (b) have qualified NEET UG 2026. Candidates who do not meet the state eligibility norms, even if NEET-qualified, are not covered by this registration window.

Round 1 schedule at a glance

All the key dates for Round 1 are listed below exactly as issued in the revised notice. Note that the registration/application/choice-filling window and the choice-filling window are the same dates — candidates must do both within this single window.

Registration and fee payment

Registration is open only to candidates who qualify NEET UG 2026 and meet Uttarakhand's state eligibility norms. During the same window (13 to 24 August 2026), candidates must fill the online application form, submit their choices (colleges/courses in order of preference), and pay both the registration fee and the security fee.

Payment for all categories must be made online — by Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. No other payment mode is mentioned in this notice.

  • Registration fee — payable by all candidates
  • Security fee/amount — payable by all candidates
  • Accepted payment modes: Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking (all categories)

After choice filling: processing, result and joining

Once the registration and choice-filling window closes on 24 August 2026, the university will process seat allotment data on 25 and 26 August 2026. The Round 1 result — that is, the seat allotment list — will be declared on 27 August 2026.

Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 must report to and join their allotted college by 5 September 2026. This is the final date given in the notice for joining; the notice does not specify what happens if a candidate fails to join by this date, so candidates should check the detailed information bulletin and the university website for that procedure.

Important cautions from the notice

The university has built in several flexibility clauses that candidates should not overlook — these are common traps where students assume the printed schedule is final and get caught out by a later change.

  • ⚠️ The schedule can change: the State Government/Counselling Board explicitly reserves the right to modify the above dates.
  • ⚠️ No personal notification: the university has stated that no separate information will be sent to individual candidates — students must check the HNBUMU website regularly themselves.
  • ⚠️ This table is 'indicative only': candidates are told to read the full information bulletin for detailed rules, not just rely on this schedule table.
  • ⚠️ Updates override the bulletin: any fresh direction from the Government of India, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the National Medical Commission (NMC), the Dental Council of India (DCI), or the Uttarakhand government — once uploaded on the university website — will override anything written in the information bulletin.
  • Round 2, Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy Round will each get their own separate schedule, announced later on the university website. This notice covers Round 1 only.
