Unlock My College ListWhat is this prospectus and who should apply?
This prospectus governs admission to postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS) and diploma courses in private medical colleges in Telangana under three management quota categories: MQ-1 (general management quota, 25% of seats), MQ-2 (NRI quota, 15% of seats), and MQ-3 (institutional quota, 10% of seats). These seats are separate from government-funded seats and are filled directly by the colleges' management.
If you have qualified NEET PG 2026 with the required cutoff score, hold a valid MBBS degree recognised by NMC/MCI, have completed your internship by 30 September 2026, and are registered with the Telangana State Medical Council, you are eligible to apply. Candidates from all over India can apply for MQ-1; NRI/OCI candidates and NRI-sponsored candidates can apply for MQ-2; and candidates sponsored by the college management can apply for MQ-3.
NEET PG 2026 cutoff scores for eligibility
To be eligible for admission under management quota, you must have scored at or above the following cutoff marks in NEET PG 2026. Note that these cutoff scores are for eligibility only—there are no reservations under management quota, so lower cutoff scores for SC/ST/OBC/PWD do not guarantee any preference in merit ranking.
All candidates, regardless of caste or category, compete on the same merit list based on their NEET PG 2026 rank. The cutoff scores are simply the minimum threshold to qualify for consideration.
| Category | Qualifying Criteria | Cutoff Score |
|---|---|---|
| General Category (EWS) | 50th Percentile | 262 |
| SC/ST/OBC (including PWD of SC/ST) | 40th Percentile | 226 |
| Persons with Disability (OC) PWD | 45th Percentile | 244 |
Key eligibility requirements—do not miss these
Your MBBS degree must be recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC). If you obtained your MBBS from outside India, the degree must have been recognised by MCI/NMC for enrolment as a medical practitioner in India. You must also have completed your internship on or before 30 September 2026 from an NMC-recognised medical college.
You must have permanent registration with the Telangana State Medical Council. Temporary or provisional registration is not accepted. Upload an attested copy of your permanent registration certificate with your application. If you studied outside Telangana or abroad, you must also pay an equivalency verification fee (₹8,000 for degrees from outside the state; ₹10,000 for degrees from abroad) in addition to the application fee.
⚠️ **Critical trap:** If you submit false information or conceal relevant facts, you will be disqualified for admission. If you are already admitted, your admission will be cancelled, and disciplinary action will be initiated. Legal disputes will be heard by the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad. Do not guess or estimate any information—verify every detail before submitting.

Merit list, counselling, and seat allocation
After the application deadline, KNRUHS will verify all uploaded certificates and prepare a provisional merit list. The merit list will be based on your NEET PG 2026 rank—candidates are ranked from highest to lowest score within each management quota category (MQ-1, MQ-2, MQ-3). There are no reservations under management quota, so all candidates compete on the same merit basis regardless of caste or category.
Once the provisional merit list is released, eligible candidates will be invited to exercise web-based options (choices of college and specialty). The schedule for web option exercise will be notified separately. During web counselling, you will rank your preferred colleges and specialties in order of preference. Seats will be allotted based on your rank, your choices, and seat availability. The final allotment order will be published on the portal.
After allotment, you must download your allotment letter from the portal after paying the university fee through the payment gateway. The university fee varies by course and quota category (see fee table below). You must then report to your allotted college with your original certificates, printed application form, and self-attested copies of all documents for verification and admission.

University fees for allotted candidates
Once you are allotted a seat, you must pay the university fee to download your allotment letter. The fee depends on your course (clinical or non-clinical) and your quota category (MQ-1, MQ-2, or MQ-3). Clinical courses (e.g., MD/MS in Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics) have higher fees than non-clinical courses (e.g., MD/MS in Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry). Additionally, you must pay tuition fees as notified by the Government of Telangana. After completing your degree or diploma, you must work as a Senior Resident in the institution for one year.
| Course Type | MQ-1 Fee | MQ-2 Fee | MQ-3 Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| PG Medical Courses (Clinical) | ₹2,00,000 | ₹3,00,000 | ₹3,00,000 |
| PG Medical Courses (Non-Clinical) | ₹75,000 | ₹1,00,000 | ₹1,00,000 |
Bonds and penalties—understand the financial commitment
All admitted candidates must execute a bond on ₹100 non-judicial stamped paper at the time of admission. By signing this bond, you undertake to complete the full duration of your postgraduate course (2 years for diploma, 3 years for degree). If you discontinue the course after joining, you must pay a penalty of ₹50,00,000 (fifty lakhs) to the university and refund any stipend or salary received from the government. This penalty is in addition to any other consequences.
If you discontinue after the second phase of counselling or later, you will be debarred from participating in any postgraduate counselling under KNRUHS for three years. Additionally, you must execute a Senior Residency bond undertaking to serve the institution as a Senior Resident for one year after completing your degree or diploma. These bonds are serious legal commitments—do not apply unless you are certain you will complete the course.
- Bond on ₹100 non-judicial stamped paper required at admission
- Penalty for discontinuation: ₹50,00,000 (fifty lakhs)
- Must refund any stipend/salary received
- Debarred from KNRUHS counselling for 3 years if discontinue after round 2

- Bonds are legally binding—do not apply unless committed to completing the course
Attendance, leave, and course completion rules
You must maintain 80% attendance throughout your course to be eligible to appear for the final examination. For a 3-year degree course, you must attend at least 751 working days out of 939 working days (after deducting weekly offs). For a 2-year diploma course, you must attend at least 501 working days out of 626 working days. If you take maternity leave, medical leave, or casual leave beyond 20 days per year, your course duration will be extended by the same number of days.
You are allowed 20 days of leave per year, of which 5 days are academic leave for the entire duration of the course. You cannot take more than 10 consecutive days of leave. Women students can take maternity leave up to 180 days only once during their PG course, and the course duration will be extended accordingly. If you are absent for 91 consecutive days or more, you must seek permission from the Vice Chancellor to continue; if absent for more than 2 years cumulatively, your admission will be cancelled automatically. You must pass the final examination within 3 years of course completion (for degree) or 2 years (for diploma), or you will not be eligible for the degree.
- Minimum 80% attendance required
- 3-year degree: 751 working days of 939 required
- 2-year diploma: 501 working days of 626 required
- 20 days leave per year allowed (5 days academic leave)
- Maximum 10 consecutive days leave
- Maternity leave: up to 180 days once, extends course duration

- Absence >2 years cumulatively: admission cancelled
- Final exam must be passed within 3 years (degree) or 2 years (diploma) of course completion
Common mistakes that get applications rejected
**Wrong certificate type:** Do not upload a provisional MBBS degree if you have an original degree. Do not upload a temporary medical registration if you have permanent registration. The prospectus specifies exactly which certificate type is required—upload only what is asked.
**Internship not completed by deadline:** Your internship must be completed on or before 30 September 2026. If you complete it after this date, you are ineligible, and your application will be rejected. Verify the exact completion date on your internship certificate before uploading.
**Category certificate issued before 2026:** If you are claiming SC/ST/OBC status for NEET cutoff eligibility, your category certificate must be issued in 2026 and obtained through mee-seva. Old certificates will not be accepted.
**Missing or incomplete NRI documents:** If you are applying for NRI quota (MQ-2), you must upload all five NRI documents: sponsorship declaration, embassy NRI status certificate, bank passbook, passport, and visa. Missing even one document will result in rejection.
**Photo or signature in wrong format:** Your photo and signature must be in JPG or JPEG format and no larger than 100 KB each. If they are in PNG, PDF, or other formats, or exceed 100 KB, the upload will fail.
**Caste certificate for MQ-3 or MQ-2 candidates:** If you are applying for MQ-2 (NRI) or MQ-3 (institutional) quota, do not upload a caste certificate. These quotas have no reservations, and caste certificates are not required. Uploading one will not help and may cause confusion.
**False information:** Do not guess or estimate any information. If you submit false data (wrong NEET roll number, wrong college name, wrong internship date, etc.), your application will be rejected and you may face legal action.
- Upload only the exact certificate type specified
- Internship must be completed by 30.09.2026
- Category certificate must be issued in 2026 (mee-seva)
- NRI quota requires all 5 NRI documents
- Photo and signature: JPG/JPEG format, max 100 KB
- Do not upload caste certificate for MQ-2 or MQ-3
- Do not submit false or estimated information

What is the application deadline and how do I apply?
The application deadline is 30 October 2026 at 4:00 PM (strict). Apply online at https://pvttspgmed.tsche.in/ by registering with your NEET roll number, email, and mobile; paying the ₹15,000 fee; filling in your details; and uploading all required documents. No applications will be accepted after 4:00 PM on 30 October.
What NEET PG 2026 score do I need to be eligible?
You must score at least 262 (General/EWS), 226 (SC/ST/OBC), or 244 (PWD-OC) in NEET PG 2026. These are the minimum cutoff scores for eligibility. There are no reservations under management quota, so all candidates compete on the same merit basis regardless of caste.
I completed my internship in September 2026. Am I eligible?
Yes, as long as you completed it on or before 30 September 2026. Your internship completion certificate must show the completion date. If you completed it after 30 September 2026, you are ineligible.
I have a provisional MBBS degree. Can I apply?
Yes, you can upload either a provisional or original MBBS degree certificate. However, you must have completed your internship by 30 September 2026 and be registered with the Telangana State Medical Council. If you have only a provisional degree and have not completed internship, you are not eligible.
What is the difference between MQ-1, MQ-2, and MQ-3?
MQ-1 (25% of seats) is for candidates from all over India. MQ-2 (15% of seats) is for NRI, OCI, and NRI-sponsored candidates only. MQ-3 (10% of seats) is for candidates sponsored by the college management—you must be an alumnus, employee, or child of an employee of that college. Each category has separate merit lists.
I studied my MBBS outside Telangana. Do I need to pay an extra fee?
Yes. If you studied outside Telangana but within India, you must pay an equivalency verification fee of ₹8,000 in addition to the ₹15,000 application fee. If you studied abroad, the equivalency fee is ₹10,000. These fees are non-refundable.
What happens if I submit false information in my application?
If you submit false information or conceal relevant facts, you will be disqualified for admission. If you are already admitted, your admission will be cancelled. Disciplinary action will be initiated against you, and legal proceedings may be filed. Legal disputes will be heard by the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad. Do not take this risk.
When will the merit list be released and when is counselling?
The provisional merit list will be released after certificate verification, but the exact date has not been announced. The schedule for web option exercise (counselling) will be notified separately on the KNRUHS website. Check the website regularly—no individual notifications will be sent.
What is the ₹50 lakh penalty for discontinuation?
If you discontinue your course after joining, you must pay ₹50,00,000 (fifty lakhs) to the university and refund any stipend or salary received from the government. Additionally, you will be debarred from KNRUHS postgraduate counselling for 3 years. This is a serious financial and career consequence—apply only if you are committed to completing the course.
Do I need to work as a Senior Resident after my degree?
Yes. All postgraduate degree and diploma holders must work as a Senior Resident in the institution where they studied for one year after completing their course. This is a mandatory requirement, and you must sign a bond to this effect at the time of admission.
Can I transfer to another college or change my course after admission?
No. Migration, transfer, or mutual transfer of postgraduate students from one college to another, from one course to another, or from degree to diploma (or vice versa) are not permitted under any circumstances. Choose your college and course carefully before applying.
What documents must I bring to the college at the time of admission?
You must bring: (1) original MBBS degree certificate, (2) original MBBS study certificate, (3) original internship completion certificate, (4) original permanent medical registration certificate from Telangana State Medical Council, (5) original Aadhaar card, (6) original category certificate (if applicable), (7) original minority certificate (if applicable), (8) printed application form with all enclosures, and (9) self-attested copies of all documents. If any original document is missing, your admission will be forfeited.
Apply immediately at https://pvttspgmed.tsche.in/ before the 30 October 2026, 4:00 PM deadline. Prepare all required documents (NEET admit card, score card, MBBS degree, internship certificate, medical council registration, Aadhaar, photo, signature) in the correct format before starting your application. Pay the ₹15,000 registration fee (plus ₹8,000–₹10,000 equivalency fee if applicable) and upload all documents carefully. Save your registration number and check the KNRUHS website regularly for merit list release and counselling schedule. Do not submit false information—it will result in disqualification and legal action.
