Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has opened online registration for NEET PG 2026 qualified candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses under Management Quota seats in private non-minority and minority medical colleges across Telangana. This is a web-based counselling process to determine state merit position for three Management Quota categories: MQ-1 (general management), MQ-2 (NRI quota), and MQ-3 (institutional quota). Registration opened on 22 October 2026 at 4 PM and closes on 30 October 2026 at 4 PM. Candidates must upload all mandatory certificates during registration; a provisional merit list will follow after verification. This is your window to apply—missing the deadline means losing your chance for this admission round.
Register online by 30 October 2026, 4 PM on https://pvttspgmed.tsche.in with all mandatory certificates and pay ₹15,000 registration fee (non-refundable) to be considered for Management Quota PG seats in Telangana private medical colleges.

Unlock My College ListWhat is this notification about?
This is an official call for applications from NEET PG 2026 qualified candidates for admission to postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses under Management Quota seats in private medical colleges affiliated to KNRUHS, Warangal, and Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences (affiliated to Anurag University) in Telangana.
Management Quota seats are filled through a separate counselling process run by the university, independent of the national NEET PG counselling conducted by MCC. These seats are available in private non-minority and minority medical colleges. The university will conduct web-based counselling to rank candidates by merit (based on NEET PG 2026 score) and allocate seats according to the three Management Quota categories: MQ-1 (general management seats open to all India and local candidates), MQ-2 (NRI quota), and MQ-3 (institutional quota sponsored by the college).
This notification is specifically for registration and merit determination only. The actual counselling dates, seat matrix, and choice-filling process will be announced separately on the KNRUHS website after the merit list is released.
Who is eligible to apply?
You must meet all of the following eligibility criteria to apply:
First, you must have qualified in NEET PG 2026 by scoring at or above the cut-off score for your category (see the cut-off table below). Second, you must have passed your MBBS degree examination from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC). Third, you must have completed your internship by 30 September 2026—this is a hard deadline; if you have not finished internship by this date, you are ineligible. Fourth, if you completed your MBBS from an institution outside India, you must hold a valid permanent registration certificate issued by the Telangana State Medical Council, Hyderabad—this is compulsory and must be uploaded during registration.
The notification also states that lower cut-off percentiles for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates are for eligibility determination only and do not confer any community-based reservation under Management Quota, because Management Quota seats are not reserved by caste or community.
- Qualified NEET PG 2026 with score at or above your category's cut-off
- MBBS degree from MCI/NMC-recognized institution
- Internship completed by 30 September 2026
- If MBBS from outside India: valid permanent registration from Telangana State Medical Council (compulsory)
NEET PG 2026 cut-off scores by category
Your eligibility to apply depends on your NEET PG 2026 score and your category. The cut-off scores are set at specific percentiles and are shown in the table below. If your score is below the cut-off for your category, you cannot apply, even if you meet all other criteria.
Important: The lower cut-off percentiles for SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates are used only to determine whether you are eligible to apply. They do NOT mean you will receive any reservation or preference in seat allocation under Management Quota, because Management Quota seats are not reserved by caste, community, or disability status. All candidates compete on the same merit list based on their NEET PG 2026 score.
| Category | Qualifying Criteria (Percentile) | Cut-off Score |
|---|---|---|
| General Category / EWS | 50th Percentile | 262 |
| SC/ST/OBC (including PWD of SC/ST/OBC) | 40th Percentile | 226 |
| Persons with Disability – General | 45th Percentile | 244 |

What documents must you upload?
During online registration, you must upload scanned copies of all mandatory documents. The university will verify these documents to confirm your eligibility. If any mandatory document is missing, your application will be automatically rejected and you will not be considered for merit ranking. Read this list carefully and gather all documents before you start your application.
The documents fall into several categories: identity and academic records, NEET PG proof, category certificates (if applicable), and quota-specific documents (if you are applying under NRI or institutional quota). Below is the complete list of what you must upload.
- Latest passport-size photograph (digital copy)
- NEET PG 2026 admit card and score card
- Original or provisional MBBS degree certificate
- Aadhaar card
- Study certificates from first year to final year of MBBS course
- Latest caste certificate (if you are SC/ST/OBC candidate, issued by Competent Authority of Government of Telangana in 2026; required for cut-off eligibility only, not for reservation)
- Muslim Minority Certificate (if applicable, issued by Competent Authority, Government of Telangana)
- Internship completion certificate
- Valid permanent medical council registration certificate issued by Telangana State Medical Council, Hyderabad (compulsory if MBBS from outside India)
Additional documents for NRI quota (MQ-2) and institutional quota (MQ-3)
If you are applying under NRI quota (MQ-2), you must provide proof that you have an NRI financial sponsor and submit additional documents from that sponsor. The sponsor must be a blood relative: your father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, or aunt. You must also submit a declaration stating this relationship.
If you are applying under institutional quota (MQ-3), the college must sponsor you and provide a sponsorship certificate. Contact the college directly to understand their sponsorship criteria and process.
- For NRI Quota (MQ-2): NRI sponsorship certificate (declaration form), NRI status certificate of the financial supporter issued by the embassy of their country under seal, copy of NRI bank account passbook, copy of valid visa and valid passport of the NRI financial supporter, and a declaration of relationship (father/mother/brother/sister/uncle/aunt only)

Critical traps: What gets your application rejected
The university has been very clear about what causes automatic rejection. Read this section carefully, because these are common mistakes that cost candidates their seats.
Trap 1: Missing mandatory documents. If you do not upload even one mandatory document, or if you upload a document that is incomplete or illegible, your application will be automatically rejected. The university will not contact you to ask for the missing document—it will simply reject your application. There is no second chance. Trap 2: No signature in the declaration area. If you do not sign the declaration area of the online form, your application is automatically rejected. Trap 3: Incomplete application. If you leave any required field blank or do not fill in all details, your application is automatically rejected. Trap 4: Caste certificate issued before 2026. If you are an SC/ST/OBC candidate, your caste certificate must be issued by the Competent Authority of Government of Telangana in 2026. A certificate issued in 2025 or earlier will not be accepted. Trap 5: Internship not completed by 30 September 2026. If you have not completed your internship by this date, you are ineligible, and your application will be rejected even if you submit it. Trap 6: MBBS from outside India without Telangana registration. If your MBBS is from outside India and you do not have a valid permanent registration certificate from Telangana State Medical Council, you cannot apply. Trap 7: Paying the fee does not guarantee eligibility. Paying the registration fee does not mean your application will be accepted. The university will verify all your certificates and eligibility criteria after you submit. If any information is found to be false or incorrect, your candidature will be cancelled and further action may be taken. Trap 8: Registration fee is non-refundable. Once you pay the ₹15,000 registration fee, it is gone. Even if your application is rejected, even if you do not get a seat, even if you withdraw—the fee is not refunded. Trap 9: Double payment. If you accidentally pay the fee twice (due to a technical glitch or your own error), the second payment will not be automatically refunded. You must email knruhs.doublepayments@gmail.com with proof of the duplicate payment. Refunds are processed only after the closure of admissions and only after verification.
- ⚠️ Missing even one mandatory document = automatic rejection
- ⚠️ No signature in declaration area = automatic rejection
- ⚠️ Incomplete application = automatic rejection
- ⚠️ Caste certificate must be issued in 2026 (not 2025 or earlier)
- ⚠️ Internship must be completed by 30 September 2026
- ⚠️ MBBS from outside India requires Telangana State Medical Council registration
- ⚠️ Registration fee (₹15,000) is non-refundable under all circumstances
- ⚠️ Paying the fee does not guarantee eligibility or admission
- ⚠️ False or incorrect information in your application will result in cancellation
Management Quota seat categories: MQ-1, MQ-2, MQ-3
Management Quota seats are divided into three sub-categories. You must understand which category you are applying for, because each has different eligibility and sponsorship requirements.
MQ-1 (General Management Quota): These are general management seats available to all qualified candidates. According to Government Order No. 200 & 201 dated 03.11.2025, 15% of MQ-1 seats are open to candidates from all over India, and 85% are reserved for local candidates of Telangana. Local candidature is determined as per Government Order No. 148 dated 28.10.2024. If you are not a Telangana local candidate, you can only compete for the 15% all-India open seats. MQ-2 (NRI Quota): These seats are reserved for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and their dependents. To apply under MQ-2, you must have an NRI financial sponsor who is a blood relative (father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, or aunt). The NRI sponsor must provide proof of NRI status (embassy certificate), bank account details, and valid visa and passport. MQ-3 (Institutional Quota): These seats are sponsored by the college itself. The college decides which candidates to sponsor based on its own criteria. You must obtain a sponsorship certificate directly from the college to apply under MQ-3.
- MQ-1: 15% all-India open seats + 85% Telangana local seats
- MQ-2: NRI quota (requires NRI blood relative sponsor with embassy NRI certificate)
- MQ-3: Institutional quota (requires college sponsorship certificate)
What happens after you submit your application?
After the registration deadline (30 October 2026, 4 PM), the university will begin verifying all uploaded certificates and checking your eligibility. This process takes time. You will not hear from the university during this period unless there is a problem.
The university will verify: your NEET PG 2026 score and rank, your MBBS degree and its recognition by MCI/NMC, your internship completion, your medical council registration (if applicable), your category status (caste, minority, disability), and the authenticity of all uploaded documents. If any information is found to be incorrect or false, your candidature will be cancelled. If all documents are verified and you are found to be eligible, you will be included in the provisional merit list. The provisional merit list will be released on the KNRUHS website (http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in/) and the portal (https://pvttspgmed.tsche.in). Check the website regularly for updates. After the provisional merit list, the university will announce the final seat matrix (total number of seats available in each category and college) and the dates for exercising web options (choice filling). These dates will be notified separately. You will then log in to the portal, view your merit position, and fill your choices of colleges and specialties. Seats will be allocated based on your merit rank and your choices. You will receive a provisional allotment order. At the time of joining the college, you must submit the original certificates and one set of self-attested copies to the college principal for final verification. If any discrepancy is found at this stage, your allotment can be cancelled.
- University verifies all certificates and eligibility criteria
- Provisional merit list released on KNRUHS website
- Final seat matrix and choice-filling dates announced separately
- You fill your choices of colleges and specialties online
- Seats allocated based on merit rank and choices
- Provisional allotment order issued
- At joining: submit original certificates to college for final verification

See My CollegesFrequently asked questions
What is the difference between NEET PG counselling (MCC) and this Management Quota counselling?
NEET PG counselling conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) is the national counselling for government and private medical colleges. Management Quota counselling is a separate process run by KNRUHS for private medical colleges in Telangana only. Management Quota seats are filled through this independent counselling, not through MCC. If you apply for Management Quota, you are competing only with other Management Quota applicants in Telangana, not with candidates across India.
I scored 260 in NEET PG 2026 and I am in the General category. Can I apply?
No. The cut-off score for General category is 262. Your score of 260 is below the cut-off, so you are not eligible to apply for Management Quota seats, even if you meet all other criteria. You can only apply if your score is 262 or above.
I completed my MBBS from a college in another state. Do I need to pay an extra fee?
Yes. In addition to the registration fee of ₹15,000, you must pay an equivalency verification fee of ₹8,000 to verify your MBBS degree from another state. If your MBBS is from outside India, the equivalency fee is ₹10,000. Both fees are non-refundable and must be paid online during registration.
My internship will be completed on 5 October 2026. Am I eligible?
No. The notification clearly states that internship must be completed by 30 September 2026. If you complete it on 5 October, you are ineligible, and your application will be rejected. You must have completed internship by the deadline to apply.
I uploaded all my documents and paid the fee. Does this mean I will definitely get a seat?
No. Paying the fee and uploading documents does not guarantee eligibility or admission. The university will verify all your certificates and information. If any document is found to be false, incomplete, or if any information is incorrect, your candidature will be cancelled. Even if you are found eligible and included in the merit list, you will only get a seat if your merit rank is high enough and if you choose a college/specialty that has available seats.
My caste certificate was issued in 2025. Can I use it?
No. The notification specifies that caste certificates must be issued by the Competent Authority of Government of Telangana in 2026. A certificate issued in 2025 or earlier will not be accepted. You must obtain a fresh caste certificate issued in 2026 before you apply.
I am applying under NRI quota (MQ-2). My uncle is an NRI. Can he be my sponsor?
Yes. The notification allows NRI sponsorship from blood relatives including uncle or aunt. Your uncle can be your sponsor if he is an NRI. He must provide an NRI status certificate from his country's embassy, a copy of his bank account passbook, and copies of his valid visa and passport. You must also submit a declaration stating that he is your uncle.
What happens if I accidentally pay the registration fee twice?
If you pay the fee twice due to a technical error or your own mistake, the second payment will not be automatically refunded. You must email knruhs.doublepayments@gmail.com with proof of the duplicate payment and request a refund. The university will verify your claim and refund the duplicate amount to your bank account, but only after the closure of admissions.
When will the merit list be released?
The notification does not specify an exact date for the merit list. It states that the provisional merit list will be released after the university verifies all uploaded certificates. You should check the KNRUHS website (http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in/) and the portal (https://pvttspgmed.tsche.in) regularly for updates. The dates for choice filling and seat allocation will be announced separately after the merit list is released.
I have a disability. Will I get any preference or reservation under Management Quota?
No. Management Quota seats are not reserved by disability status or any other community category. The lower cut-off percentile (45th percentile, score 244) for Persons with Disability is only for eligibility determination. Once you are eligible, you compete on the same merit list as all other candidates based on your NEET PG 2026 score. There is no separate reservation or preference for PWD candidates under Management Quota.
What is the deadline for registration, and what happens if I miss it?
Registration closes on 30 October 2026 at 4:00 PM. After this deadline, the portal will close and no applications will be accepted. If you miss the deadline, you cannot apply for Management Quota seats in this round. There is no extension or late submission option. Submit your application well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
I completed my MBBS from a college in the USA. What documents do I need?
You must have a valid permanent registration certificate issued by the Telangana State Medical Council, Hyderabad. This is compulsory. You must also upload this certificate during registration. Additionally, you must pay an equivalency verification fee of ₹10,000 (in addition to the ₹15,000 registration fee) to verify your foreign MBBS degree. Without the Telangana registration certificate, you cannot apply.
Register immediately on https://pvttspgmed.tsche.in between 22 October 2026, 4 PM and 30 October 2026, 4 PM. Gather all mandatory documents listed above, pay the registration fee (₹15,000) and equivalency fee (if applicable) online, and upload all documents before the deadline. Do not delay—incomplete or late applications are automatically rejected. After registration closes, the university will verify your certificates and release the provisional merit list on the KNRUHS website. Check the website regularly for updates on the merit list, seat matrix, and choice-filling dates. If you face any technical issues, contact the help line numbers provided in the notification.
