Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Counselling: Dates, Fees & Documents

Rajasthan's NEET UG Round 3 counselling for MBBS and BDS seats has been officially scheduled. This is the third and final round of seat allotment for the 2026–27 admission cycle. If you did not get a seat in Rounds 1 or 2, or if you were allotted a seat but want to upgrade, or if you are a fresh candidate, you must register and participate in Round 3 by the deadlines given here. The entire process—from registration to reporting at your allotted college—runs from 23 September to 15 October 2026. This article explains every step, every fee, every document you need, and the traps that can disqualify your application.

What is Round 3 and who should apply?

Round 3 is the final round of seat allotment in Rajasthan's NEET UG 2026 counselling. It is open to six categories of candidates: (1) anyone who registered in Rounds 1 or 2 but did not get a seat; (2) anyone who was allotted a seat and joined (has 'Joined' status) and now wants to upgrade to a better college or course; (3) anyone who was allotted a seat in Round 1, resigned without forfeiting their security (resigned by 16 Sept 5 PM), and wants to try again; (4) anyone registering for the first time (fresh candidate); (5) anyone who was allotted a seat in Round 2, did not join, and now wants to re-register and try again; and (6) All India candidates (Clause XI 'Other' category) who are competing for vacant seats after state merit lists are exhausted.

If you already have a seat from an earlier round and do not wish to upgrade, you do not need to apply in Round 3—your seat is secure. However, if you do not report by the final deadline (15 October 2 PM), your security deposit will be forfeited and you will lose your seat permanently.

Important dates: registration, choice filling, allotment, and reporting

The entire Round 3 process is compressed into three weeks. Registration and choice filling happen in parallel. The merit list is published after verification of special categories (Defence, Para Military, NRI, PwBD/PwD). Allotment results are released in two stages—indicative on 9 October and provisional on 10 October. Once you know your allotted seat, you have just five days to deposit your tuition fee and report to the college with all original documents.

Missing any deadline will result in automatic rejection or forfeiture of your seat. For example, if you do not submit your application form by 8 PM on 3 October, you will not appear in the merit list. If you do not deposit your security by 5 PM on 7 October, you will not be eligible for allotment. If you do not report by 2 PM on 15 October, your security will be forfeited and you will be barred from further rounds.

Application fee: who pays what

All fresh candidates and candidates re-registering for Round 3 must pay a non-refundable application fee. The fee depends on your caste category and domicile status. Candidates who registered in earlier rounds do not pay the fee again—they only pay if they are re-registering (e.g., because they did not join their Round 2 allotted seat).

The application fee must be deposited online by 4 PM on 3 October 2026. If you do not pay by this deadline, your application will not be processed and you will not appear in the merit list. Transaction charges are additional and are your responsibility.

Security deposit: mandatory amounts by seat type and course

Every candidate who wishes to participate in Round 3 must deposit a security amount. This is not a fee—it is a refundable deposit that will be returned to you after you join and complete your course, provided you do not resign before the final admission deadline set by MCC/NMC/DCI. If you do not join your allotted seat, this deposit is forfeited. The amount you must deposit depends on the type of seat and course you are applying for.

If you already deposited security in Round 1 or Round 2 and your security was not forfeited (i.e., you either joined or resigned with forfeiture waived), you do not need to deposit again. However, if you did not deposit in earlier rounds, or if you want to change the type of seat you are applying for (e.g., from government to private), you must deposit the applicable amount now. If you deposited ₹2,00,000 or ₹5,00,000 in an earlier round, you are automatically eligible to fill choices for all college types (government, private, dental) in Round 3.

The security deposit window is 24 September to 7 October 2026, 5 PM. Deposits made after 5 PM on 7 October will not be accepted, and you will not be eligible for allotment.

Critical trap: candidates who did not join Round 2 must re-register and re-deposit

This is the most important rule to understand. If you were allotted a seat in Round 2 but did not join (did not report to the college), your security deposit from Round 2 has been forfeited. You cannot simply register again in Round 3 and use the same deposit. You must re-register as a fresh candidate, pay the application fee again, and deposit the full security amount again. If you do not do this, you will not be eligible for allotment in Round 3.

Similarly, if you were allotted a seat in Round 2, joined it, and now want to upgrade in Round 3, you do not need to re-deposit security (unless you want to change the type of seat). But if you did not join, you must treat yourself as a new applicant and deposit fresh security.

Choice filling: the most critical step—you must fill fresh choices in Round 3

This is the single most important rule in Round 3: all choices you filled in Rounds 1 and 2 will be completely erased and will not be considered for Round 3 allotment. If you do not fill fresh choices in Round 3, you will not be allotted any seat, even if you registered and deposited security. This is not optional—it is mandatory.

Choice filling opens on 24 September and closes on 7 October at 11:45 PM. After 11:45 PM, the system will auto-lock and you will not be able to add, edit, or delete any choices. You can fill, save, and change your choices as many times as you want before the deadline, but once the deadline passes, your choices are final.

When filling choices, keep in mind that the seat matrix you see may show only 'real' vacancies (seats that are actually empty). However, 'virtual' vacancies may arise during the allotment process—for example, if a candidate who joined in Round 2 upgrades to a different college in Round 3, their previous seat becomes vacant. The board advises you to fill choices considering both real and virtual vacancies. Refer to the Round 1 seat matrix for guidance on potential virtual vacancies.

Only the following candidates need to fill choices in Round 3: (1) registered candidates who did not get allotment in Rounds 1 or 2; (2) candidates with 'Joined' status who want to upgrade; (3) candidates who resigned from Round 1 without forfeiture; (4) newly registered candidates; (5) re-registered candidates; and (6) All India candidates (Clause XI). If you have a 'Joined' status from Round 2 and do not wish to upgrade, you do not need to fill choices—your seat is secure.

Merit list and verification: Defence, Para Military, NRI, and PwBD/PwD candidates

After the application deadline (3 October 8 PM), the board will publish a provisional merit list on 4 October. This list will also include the names of all Defence, Para Military, and NRI candidates who need to undergo physical verification of their certificates.

If you are a Defence, Para Military, or NRI candidate, you must appear in person at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, on 5 October between 10 AM and 3 PM to verify your certificate. Bring your original certificate and any supporting documents. If you do not appear for verification, you will not be considered for allotment.

If you are a PwBD (Person with Benchmark Disability) or PwD (Person with Disability) candidate, you must upload your Eligibility Certificate issued by an MCC-designated center. You do not need to appear in person for verification—the board will verify your certificate online. However, you must bring the original certificate when you report to your allotted college. The list of MCC-designated centers is available on the MCC website (mcc.nic.in).

After verification, the board will publish separate provisional merit lists for PwBD/PwD, NRI, and Defence/Para Military candidates on 5 October at midnight. The combined provisional merit list (after all verifications) will be published on 6 October.

• Defence/Para Military/NRI candidates → must appear in person on 5 Oct, 10 AM–3 PM at SMS Medical College, Jaipur
• PwBD/PwD candidates → must upload Eligibility Certificate from MCC-designated center; no in-person verification needed

Allotment result and printing your allotment letter

The Round 3 allotment result will be published in two stages. The indicative result (a preview) will be released on 9 October 2026. The provisional result (the final allotment) will be released on 10 October 2026. Both will be available on the official website (https://ug.neetrajasthan.com/home).

Once the provisional result is published on 10 October, you must print your allotment letter from the website. The printing window is 11 October to 15 October, and printing will be disabled at 12:30 PM on 15 October. If you do not print your allotment letter by this deadline, you will not be able to report to your college and will lose your seat. Keep multiple printed copies (the board asks for 4 copies) because you will need them when you report.

Reporting to your allotted college: documents, fees, and the final deadline

After you receive your allotment letter, you must report to your allotted college within five days (11–15 October 2026). Reporting happens at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, between 9 AM and 4 PM on 11–14 October, and until 2 PM on 15 October. If you do not report by 2 PM on 15 October, your security deposit will be forfeited and you will be barred from all future rounds.

When you report, you must bring: (1) your printed allotment letter; (2) all original documents (10th and 12th mark sheets, NEET admit card, NEET result, caste certificate if applicable, domicile certificate, medical fitness certificate, etc.); (3) two copies of your application form; (4) two sets of photocopies of all relevant documents; (5) four copies of your allotment letter; (6) four copies of your fee receipt; (7) any bonds or undertakings required by the college; and (8) proof that you have deposited the one-year tuition fee.

You must also deposit the prescribed one-year tuition fee at the college between 11 and 15 October. Fee deposition will close at 12:30 PM on 15 October. The exact fee amount depends on your course, college, and category—refer to the college fee structure and the Supreme Court order dated 19 May 2022 (Civil Appeal No. 3978–3995/2017) for details.

If you do not report by 2 PM on 15 October, or if you do not deposit the tuition fee by 12:30 PM on 15 October, your security will be forfeited and you will not be eligible for any further round of counselling.

Documents required: complete checklist for registration and reporting

You will need different documents at different stages. At registration, you will need to upload scans of your eligibility documents. At reporting, you will need to bring originals. Missing even one document can result in rejection of your application or inability to report.

For registration (online upload): NEET admit card, NEET result, 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, caste certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate (if applicable), Eligibility Certificate from MCC-designated center (if PwBD/PwD), Defence/Para Military certificate (if applicable), NRI certificate (if applicable), and any other document specified in the Information Booklet.

For reporting (bring originals): all of the above, plus medical fitness certificate, character certificate, two copies of your application form, two sets of photocopies of all documents, four copies of your allotment letter, four copies of your fee receipt, and any bonds or undertakings required by the college.

Important: caste certificates must be issued by the competent authority and must clearly show your sub-caste (if applicable). Domicile certificates must be current and issued by the district administration. If you are a PwBD/PwD candidate, your Eligibility Certificate must be from an MCC-designated center—certificates from other sources will not be accepted.

Editing your application: caste, category, and other corrections

Part 2 and Part 1 (partially) of the application form are editable until the final submission deadline of 8 PM on 3 October 2026. If you need to make corrections or changes—including changes to your caste category, additional category, or any other information—you can do so online until this deadline.

However, if you need to change your caste category or add an additional category after you have already filled Part 1, you must send a written request to the board. Send a duly signed, handwritten application along with self-attested photocopies of relevant documents (e.g., updated caste certificate) from your registered email address to the support email (support@neetrajasthan.com) between 23 September and 3 October 2026. The board will review your request and update your application if the documents are valid.

What happens after you join: resignation rules and bond conditions

Once you join your allotted seat in Round 3, you are committed to the course. You cannot resign or withdraw from the course on or before the final admission deadline set by MCC/NMC/DCI. If you attempt to resign before this deadline, your security deposit will be forfeited and you will face legal consequences under the bond you signed.

If you join a seat in Round 3 or retain a seat allotted in an earlier round (by not upgrading in Round 3), you will not be allowed to participate in any further round of counselling. Your admission is final.

If you are allotted a seat in Round 3 but do not join, your security deposit will be forfeited and you will not be eligible to participate in any further round.
