Rajasthan's Round 2 NEET UG counselling for MBBS and BDS seats begins on 6 September 2026. This is the second round of seat allotment after Round 1, and it follows the national schedule released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). If you did not get a seat in Round 1, or if you are a fresh candidate, you must register and complete the entire process by 18 September 2026 to be eligible for a seat. This notification sets out every deadline, fee amount, document requirement, and step you must follow — missing even one deadline or document can result in rejection.

What is Round 2 Counselling and Who Should Apply

Round 2 is the second phase of seat allotment in Rajasthan's NEET UG counselling for 2026. It is open to all candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1, as well as fresh candidates who are registering for the first time. If you already registered in Round 1 but did not complete Part 2 of your application form, you can now complete it without re-registering.

This round will allot seats from vacancies that remain after Round 1 candidates join, plus any new vacancies that arise due to resignations. The seats available include government MBBS, government BDS, government society medical colleges, RUHS (Rajasthan University of Health Sciences) colleges, ESIC Medical Colleges, and private medical and dental colleges.

Round 2 is mandatory if you wish to participate in further counselling rounds. If you do not register and complete all steps in Round 2, you will not be eligible for Round 3 or any subsequent round.

Important Dates: Every Deadline You Must Know

The entire Round 2 process runs from 6 September to 18 September 2026. Below is the complete schedule with exact dates and times. Write these down or set phone reminders — even a few minutes late can mean your application is rejected.

The most critical dates are: application registration and fee payment by 8 September 4 PM, form submission by 8 September 8 PM, security deposit by 10 September 5 PM, choice filling by 10 September 11:45 PM, and final reporting by 18 September 2 PM. If you miss the 8 September 8 PM deadline, your application will not be accepted and you cannot proceed.

Application Fee: How Much You Must Pay and Who Gets a Discount

All fresh candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee. The amount depends on your category and state domicile. If you are a candidate from Rajasthan state domicile and belong to SC, ST, or ST-STA (Scheduled Tribe Sahariya) category, you pay ₹1,500 plus applicable transaction charges. All other candidates pay ₹2,500 plus applicable transaction charges.

The application fee must be deposited online through the counselling website by 8 September 2026 at 4:00 PM. This is a mandatory step — without payment, your application will not be processed. The fee is non-refundable, meaning you will not get it back even if you do not get a seat or withdraw later.

Candidates who have already registered in Round 1 do not need to pay the fee again. However, if you registered in Round 1 but did not complete Part 2, you still do not need to pay again — you can simply complete Part 2 now.

Security Deposit: The Amount You Must Pay Before Filling Choices

After paying the application fee, you must deposit a security amount before you can fill your college choices. This security deposit is refundable and will be returned to you after the counselling process is complete. The amount you deposit depends on which type of seat you wish to apply for — government MBBS, management MBBS, NRI MBBS, private MBBS, or BDS.

The security deposit window is open from 7 September to 10 September 2026, and you must deposit by 5:00 PM on 10 September. If you do not deposit the security amount by this deadline, you will not be able to fill your choices and will be excluded from the allotment process.

Important: If you deposit ₹2,00,000 or ₹5,00,000 for MBBS, you automatically become eligible to fill choices for government medical colleges, government society medical colleges, RUHS colleges, ESIC medical colleges, and private dental colleges as well. This means you have more flexibility in your choice of college and course.

Application Form: Two Parts, Both Must Be Completed

The application form has two parts: Part 1 and Part 2. Both must be filled and submitted by 8 September 2026 at 8:00 PM. Part 1 contains your basic information (name, date of birth, NEET roll number, etc.), and Part 2 contains your category, domicile, and other eligibility details.

If you registered in Round 1, you do not need to fill Part 1 again — it is already saved. However, if you did not complete Part 2 in Round 1, you must complete it now. Part 2 is editable, meaning you can make changes until the final submission deadline of 8 September 8 PM.

If you need to make corrections to Part 1 (such as caste category or additional category), you can request a change by sending a signed, handwritten application with self-attested photocopies of relevant documents from your registered email to support@neetrajasthan.com between 6 September and 8 September 2026 (by 8 PM). The board will review your request and make the correction if valid.

Merit List and Verification: How Your Eligibility Is Checked

After you submit your application form and pay the fee, the board will publish a provisional merit list on 8 September 2026 at midnight. This list is based on your NEET score and category. However, this is not final — your eligibility must be verified before you can be allotted a seat.

If you are a Defence candidate, Para Military candidate, or NRI candidate, you must appear in person for certificate verification on 9 September 2026 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM at the Academic Block of SMS Medical College, Jaipur. You must bring your original Defence/Para Military/NRI certificate. If you do not appear for verification, you will not be considered for allotment.

If you are a PwBD (Person with Benchmark Disability) or PwD (Person with Disability) candidate, you must upload your Eligibility Certificate issued by an MCC-designated center. This certificate must be uploaded during the application process. The board will verify it online, and you must bring the original certificate at the time of reporting. If your certificate is not from an MCC-designated center, it will not be accepted.

After verification, the board will publish updated merit lists on 9 September 2026 at midnight and a combined merit list on 10 September 2026. Your position in the merit list determines the order in which you can choose colleges.

Choice Filling: How to Select Your Colleges and Seats

After the merit list is published and your eligibility is verified, you can fill your college choices. The choice-filling window is open from 7 September to 10 September 2026, and choices will auto-lock at 11:45 PM on 10 September. You can fill, save, and change your choices as many times as you want during this window — there is no limit on the number of changes.

When filling choices, you should consider both real vacancies (seats that are definitely available) and virtual vacancies (seats that may become available if higher-ranked candidates do not join). The seat matrix published on 7 September shows the real vacancies after Round 1 joining. However, virtual vacancies may arise during the allotment process, and additional vacancies may arise if candidates resign after Round 2 results are announced. The board advises you to fill choices based on the Round 1 seat matrix and consider both types of vacancies.

You can rank colleges in order of preference. During allotment, the computer will assign you the highest-ranked college for which you are eligible based on your merit position and category. If that college is full, you will be assigned the next college in your preference list, and so on. Therefore, arrange your choices carefully — put your most preferred college first, even if it is a private college with high fees.

Allotment Result and Printing: When and How to Get Your Seat

The Round 2 allotment result will be published on 14 September 2026 on the counselling website. You can log in with your registration number and password to check whether you have been allotted a seat and which college and course you have been assigned.

After the result is published, you must print your allotment letter online between 15 September and 18 September 2026. The printing facility will be disabled at 11:45 AM on 18 September, so do not wait until the last moment. You will need this printed allotment letter when you report to the college.

If you do not get a seat in Round 2, you will be eligible to participate in Round 3 and any subsequent rounds. The board will announce the schedule for further rounds later.

Tuition Fee Deposit: Pay Within 3 Days of Allotment

If you are allotted a seat, you must deposit the prescribed one-year tuition fee at your allotted college between 15 September and 18 September 2026. The fee deposition window closes at 12:30 PM on 18 September, so you must complete this before that time.

The tuition fee amount varies by college and course. You can find the fee structure for each college on the counselling website or in the college information sheet. The fee is for one year of study only; you will pay additional fees for subsequent years directly to the college.

If you do not deposit the tuition fee by the deadline, your seat will be cancelled and offered to the next candidate in the merit list. Therefore, deposit the fee as soon as you receive your allotment letter.

Reporting and Document Submission: The Final Step to Secure Your Seat

After depositing the tuition fee, you must report in person at the allotted college desk at the Academic Block of SMS Medical College, Jaipur between 15 September and 18 September 2026 (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Reporting must be completed by 2:00 PM on 18 September — do not report after this time as you will be rejected.

When you report, you must bring the following: (1) printed allotment letter, (2) all original documents (NEET admit card, NEET result, 10th and 12th mark sheets, AADHAR card, domicile certificate, caste certificate if applicable, etc.), (3) required bonds (if any), (4) 2 copies of your application form, (5) 2 sets of photocopies of all relevant documents, and (6) 4 copies of the allotment letter and fee receipt. If you are a PwBD/PwD candidate, bring your original Eligibility Certificate issued by an MCC-designated center.

The college will verify that you meet all eligibility criteria (NEET score, age, domicile, caste, etc.) and that all your documents are in order. If any document is missing or incorrect, your admission will be rejected. Therefore, prepare all documents carefully and bring originals — photocopies alone are not sufficient for verification.

Special Categories: Defence, Para Military, NRI, and PwBD/PwD Candidates

Defence candidates are those who have served in the Indian Armed Forces or are children of defence personnel. Para Military candidates are those who have served in para-military forces such as CRPF, BSF, ITBP, etc. NRI candidates are Non-Resident Indians as defined by the Government of India. All these candidates must appear for physical certificate verification on 9 September 2026 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM at the Academic Block of SMS Medical College, Jaipur. You must bring your original certificate (Defence/Para Military/NRI certificate). If you do not appear, you will not be considered for allotment.

PwBD (Person with Benchmark Disability) and PwD (Person with Disability) candidates must upload their Eligibility Certificate issued by an MCC-designated center during the application process. The list of MCC-designated centers is available on the MCC website (mcc.nic.in). If your certificate is not from an MCC-designated center, it will not be accepted. The board will verify your certificate online, and you must bring the original certificate at the time of reporting.

Common Mistakes That Get Your Application Rejected

Missing the application deadline: If you do not submit both Part 1 and Part 2 of your application form by 8 September 2026 at 8:00 PM, your application will be rejected. There is no extension. Set a reminder for 8 PM on 8 September.

Not paying the application fee or security deposit: Without payment of the application fee by 8 September 4 PM and the security deposit by 10 September 5 PM, you cannot proceed. Your application will be rejected if either payment is missing.

Not appearing for certificate verification: If you are a Defence, Para Military, or NRI candidate and do not appear for physical verification on 9 September 2026 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, you will be rejected from the allotment process.

Uploading an invalid PwBD/PwD certificate: If you are a PwBD/PwD candidate and upload an Eligibility Certificate that is not from an MCC-designated center, it will not be accepted. Check the MCC website for the list of designated centers before uploading.

Not reporting by the deadline: If you are allotted a seat but do not report by 2:00 PM on 18 September 2026, your seat will be cancelled. Reporting is mandatory.

Bringing incomplete documents: If you report without all original documents, your admission will be rejected. Photocopies are not sufficient for verification. Bring originals of NEET admit card, NEET result, 10th and 12th mark sheets, AADHAR card, domicile certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and any other document listed in the information bulletin.

Incorrect caste or category information: If you provide incorrect caste or category information in your application, your admission will be rejected. Ensure that the caste category in your application matches your caste certificate exactly.

Not filling choices: If you do not fill any college choices by 10 September 11:45 PM, you will not be allotted any seat even if you are eligible. Filling choices is mandatory.
