This is the complete timeline released by the Rajasthan counselling board for Round 1. Every step is time-bound, and several deadlines have exact clock times, not just dates — missing the clock time is treated the same as missing the date.

Application Fee — Who Pays What

Every candidate must pay a non-refundable application/registration fee while filling the online form. This is separate from the security deposit and from tuition fee, and it does not get refunded even if you don't get a seat.

• General/other category candidates: ₹2,500 + applicable transaction charges
• SC, ST, ST-STA category candidates who hold Rajasthan state domicile: ₹1,500 + applicable transaction charges
• This fee must be paid, and Part 1 and Part 2 of the form must both be completed, by 17 August 2026 (fee by 4:00 PM, form submission by 8:00 PM) — the notice explicitly calls completing both parts a mandatory step for everything that follows.

Security Deposit — Amount Decides Which Colleges You Can Choose

Before choice filling can be treated as valid, candidates must pay a security deposit. The amount is not the same for everyone — it depends on the type of seat and college category you intend to choose, and it directly controls which colleges appear available to you during choice filling. This deposit must be made between 14 and 20 August 2026, by 6:00 PM on the last day.

• ₹50,000 — for UR/EWS, SC, ST, ST-STA, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL candidates opting for a Government Seat (MBBS) in Government Medical Colleges, Government Society Medical Colleges, RUHS-CMS, and ESIC Medical College
• ₹2,00,000 — for candidates opting for a Management Seat (MBBS) in Government Society Colleges and RUHS-CMS
• ₹5,00,000 — for candidates opting for an NRI Seat (MBBS) in Government Colleges, Government Society Colleges, and RUHS-CMS
• ₹5,00,000 — for candidates opting for MBBS in Private Medical Colleges
• ₹10,000 — for candidates opting for BDS in Government Dental College, RUHS-CDS, and Private Dental Colleges
• Important: if you deposit ₹2,00,000 or ₹5,00,000, you automatically become eligible to fill choices across Government Medical/Dental Colleges, Government Society Medical Colleges, RUHS-CMS, RUHS-CDS, ESIC Medical College, and Private Dental Colleges — this higher deposit opens up more choice options, not fewer.

Choice Filling and Allotment

Choice filling runs from 14 August to 20 August 2026, in parallel with the security deposit window. Candidates can fill, save, and change their choices as many times as they want within this period — including candidates who have already filled choices once, who can go back and edit until the system locks. Choices are auto-locked at 11:55 PM on 20 August 2026, after which no further changes are possible for Round 1.

The Round 1 allotment result is published on 22 August 2026. Candidates who receive a seat must print their allotment letter online between 23 and 27 August 2026 (by 5:00 PM on the last day) and print their application form after auto-locking, available from 21 to 27 August 2026 (till 4:00 PM).

If You Get a Seat: Fee Payment and Reporting

Getting an allotment is not the final step — candidates must pay tuition fee and physically report with documents within the same window, or the seat can be lost. Both steps happen between 23 and 27 August 2026, so allotted candidates have effectively five days to complete everything.

Tuition fee (one year, as prescribed for the allotted college) must be deposited online between 23 and 27 August 2026; the payment window closes at 3:30 PM on 27 August 2026.

Physical reporting happens at the allotted college desk, located at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur — this is a single common reporting centre for all allotted candidates regardless of which college they are allotted to. Reporting hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily from 23 to 27 August, with the overall reporting deadline at 6:00 PM on 27 August 2026.

Special Steps for Defence/Para-Military and NRI Candidates

Candidates claiming a Defence/Para-Military quota or NRI (Non-Resident Indian) category must go through an additional, mandatory physical verification step before their candidature is confirmed in the merit list. This is separate from the general document verification at the time of reporting.

The list of such candidates called for verification is published on 18 August 2026, along with the list of PwBD/PwD candidates. Verification itself takes place on 19 August 2026, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and candidates must present themselves in person before the admission board at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, with their certificates, as per the detailed notification that will be made available separately on the website. After verification, a revised provisional merit list — including the Defence/Para-Military and NRI lists — is published on 20 August 2026.

PwBD/PwD Candidates — Certificate Requirement

Candidates seeking to participate under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD/PwD) category face a specific documentation trap: only a disability eligibility certificate issued from an MCC-designated centre is accepted. There are 62 such centres nationwide, and the list is available on the MCC website (mcc.nic.in), which candidates are advised to check regularly.

This eligibility certificate must be uploaded online, and participation as a PwBD/PwD candidate is subject to online verification of that uploaded certificate. Even after upload and verification, the candidate must still carry the original eligibility certificate, along with all other original documents, at the time of reporting/joining — a certificate that is not from an MCC-designated centre, or one that is not carried in original at reporting, can jeopardise the claim to this category.
