KEAM 2026: Medical Rank List Candidates Can Upload NRI Quota Documents from 14–19 August 2026

Kerala CEE has reopened the NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota document upload window for candidates in the KEAM 2026 Medical Rank List, following a Kerala High Court order. Candidates can upload fresh NRI documents or fix defects in already-submitted ones from 14 August to 19 August 2026, 5 PM, with no further chance later.

The Kerala Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has issued a fresh notification for KEAM 2026 MBBS/BDS admissions. Following directions from the Kerala High Court in a writ petition, candidates who are in the KEAM 2026 Medical Rank List and are applying under the NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota get another chance to upload fresh supporting documents, or to correct defects in documents they already submitted. This is not a new application window — it is only for document upload/correction for candidates already on the Medical Rank List. The facility is open on the CEE website for a short, fixed period, and CEE has made clear there will be no further opportunity after this.

NRI quota candidates in the KEAM 2026 Medical Rank List must upload fresh documents or fix defects between 14 August and 19 August 2026 (5:00 PM) — this is the last chance, with no extension promised.

CEE Kerala — ADMISSION TO MBBS/BDS COURSES CANDIDATES INCLUDED IN THE MEDICAL RANK LIST CAN UPLOAD NRI DOCUMENTS — NotificationOfficial PDF notice published by CEE Kerala. Always confirm details against the official document.

Why this window has opened

This facility is being offered as per the directions of the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 26889/2026. The court's order requires CEE to give affected candidates a chance to upload NRI quota documents afresh, or to correct any defects that were flagged in documents they had already uploaded.

This applies specifically to candidates included in the KEAM 2026 Medical Rank List (the merit list for MBBS/BDS admission) who are seeking admission under the NRI quota.

Who this notice is for

This notice concerns only candidates who fall into both these categories:

  • You are included in the KEAM 2026 Medical Rank List (for MBBS/BDS).
  • You have applied, or intend to establish eligibility, under the NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota for medical admission.

The upload window — key dates

The document upload/correction facility is available only for a limited period. Mark this window clearly, as CEE has stated there will be no opportunity to submit supporting documents after it closes, under any circumstances.

How to upload fresh NRI documents

Candidates need to log in to the CEE website and use a specific menu option to submit documents. The notification does not name specific document types, so candidates should follow whatever the portal's 'Upload NRI Document' section asks for, matching the NRI quota requirements already set out in the KEAM 2026 prospectus and related government orders.

  • Log in to the CEE website (www.cee.kerala.gov.in).
  • Click the menu option 'Upload NRI Document'.
  • Submit fresh supporting documents for the NRI quota claim.
  • Complete this within the window — 14.08.2026 to 19.08.2026, 5.00 PM — as no later submission will be accepted.

If your NRI application already has a defect

Some candidates may have already uploaded NRI documents earlier in the KEAM 2026 process, and CEE may have found defects in them. If that applies to you, you can check exactly what is wrong and fix it during this same window.

  • Go to the 'Profile' page on the CEE website.
  • Click 'Memo Details' to view the specific defect(s) recorded against your NRI application.
  • Rectify the defect(s) and resubmit within the 14.08.2026 to 19.08.2026, 5.00 PM window.

Important warnings before you upload

CEE has explicitly stated: there will be no opportunity to submit supporting documents later under any circumstances. This means candidates should not delay and should not assume a further extension will come, even though this window itself was granted following a High Court order.

Before uploading anything, CEE asks all candidates to go through two things carefully: the CEE Notification dated 05.01.2026, and the Government-approved Prospectus for admission to Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Medical & Medical Allied courses. These documents (along with related Government Orders) are available on www.cee.kerala.gov.in and lay out exactly what qualifies a candidate for the NRI quota and what documents are acceptable proof. This present notification does not itself list the required documents — it only reopens the upload window — so candidates must refer back to the prospectus and January notification for the actual document list and eligibility conditions for NRI quota.

What exactly can I do during this window?

Two things: upload fresh NRI supporting documents through the 'Upload NRI Document' menu, or, if your previously submitted NRI documents had a defect, view the defect under 'Memo Details' on your Profile page and correct it.

What are the exact dates for this window?

From 14 August 2026 to 19 August 2026, 5:00 PM. After this, CEE says there will be no opportunity to submit supporting documents under any circumstances.

Why is this window being reopened now?

It follows directions from the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala in W.P. (C) No. 26889/2026, related to NRI quota document submission in the KEAM 2026 medical admission process.

Where do I find the list of documents required for NRI quota?

This notification does not list them. You must refer to the CEE Notification dated 05.01.2026 and the Government-approved Prospectus for Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Medical & Medical Allied courses, available at www.cee.kerala.gov.in, for the exact NRI quota eligibility conditions and accepted document types.

How do I check if my NRI application has a defect?

Log in to the CEE website, go to your Profile page, and click 'Memo Details'. This will show any defects flagged in your previously uploaded NRI documents.

Will there be another chance to upload documents after 19 August 2026?

No. CEE has stated explicitly that there will be no opportunity to submit supporting documents later under any circumstances.

Where can I get help if I face issues uploading documents?

You can contact the CEE helpline numbers: 0471-2332120 or 0471-2338487.

If you are on the KEAM 2026 Medical Rank List and applying under the NRI quota, log in to the CEE portal now and check your Memo Details for any flagged defects, then upload or correct your documents well before 19 August 2026, 5:00 PM. Do not wait till the last day — CEE has made clear this window will not reopen. When in doubt about which documents are valid, go back to the 05.01.2026 notification and the official KEAM prospectus before you upload anything.
