Puducherry NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Draft Allotment: Check Status & Raise Objections

Puducherry's Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has published the Round 3 Draft Allotment List for NEET UG 2026-27 on 11 October 2026. This list shows which seats have been tentatively allocated to candidates across MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BVSc&AH courses under Government, Management, Management–Telugu Minority, and NRI quotas. This is a critical moment: the draft list is not final, and you have just one day to check your allotment status and raise any objections before the list is locked. If you received an allotment, you must verify it is correct; if you did not, you can still object if you believe there is an error. After objections are processed, CENTAC will publish the Provisional Allotment List, which is when you can actually approach your allotted college.

Check your Round 3 allotment status on the CENTAC dashboard immediately and submit any objections by 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM — this is your only chance to correct errors before the list becomes provisional.

CENTAC Puducherry — [11-10-2026] - NOTICE : ROUND 3 DRAFT ALLOTMENT LIST FOR UG NEET-BASED COURSES 2026-2027Official PDF notice published by CENTAC Puducherry. Always confirm details against the official document.

What is the Round 3 Draft Allotment List?

The Draft Allotment List is CENTAC's preliminary allocation of seats to candidates based on their NEET UG 2026 rank, category, and the quota they applied under. It shows which course and college seat has been tentatively assigned to you — but it is NOT final. The word 'draft' is crucial: this list can and will change based on objections candidates raise and administrative corrections.

A total of 1,196 seats have been allotted across 1,285 available seats in Round 3. This includes 429 MBBS Government Quota seats, 407 MBBS Management Quota seats, 120 BDS Government Quota seats, and seats in other courses. The allotment covers Government, Management, Management–Telugu Minority, and NRI quotas.

The draft list is published so you can verify that the system has correctly understood your choices, rank, and eligibility before the final provisional list is released. It is your chance to catch and report errors — a critical safeguard.

Important: This Draft List Is Not Final

CENTAC explicitly states that the Draft Allotment List is 'only indicative in nature and subject to change.' You do NOT have any legal right to the seat shown in the draft — it can be withdrawn, reassigned, or modified. The draft cannot be challenged in court, and you cannot use it to claim admission to a college.

Three specific seats in this round are under court orders and may change: 4 MBBS Government Quota seats are subject to a pending High Court case (W.A. No. 2674 of 2026), 1 MBBS Government Quota seat has been released and reallocated under MSP quota (W.P. No. 36623 of 2026), and 1 MBBS Government Quota seat is withheld at PIMS under USC/GSS (W.P. No. 38666 of 2026). These seats may not be available to you even if shown in the draft.

Do not approach your allotted college, do not pay any fees, and do not make any arrangements until the Provisional Allotment List is published and you have downloaded your provisional allotment order from the dashboard. Approaching a college based on the draft list alone is premature and risky.

How to Check Your Allotment Status

You must log into the CENTAC dashboard using your login credentials (the same username and password you used during registration and choice-filling). Once logged in, you will see your allotment status — whether you have been allotted a seat, and if so, which course, college, and quota category.

The dashboard will display your allotted seat details clearly. If you have been allotted, note down the course name, college name, and seat category. If you have not been allotted, the dashboard will show 'No Allotment' — this does not mean you are rejected; it may mean your rank did not match any available seat in your chosen colleges and categories in this round, or you may be allotted in a later round.

An SMS has also been sent to your registered mobile number with allotment information. However, always verify the details on the dashboard itself, as the SMS is only a notification and may not contain complete information.

  • Go to www.centacpuducherry.in
  • Log in with your dashboard credentials
  • Check your allotment status under the 'Allotment' or 'Status' section
  • Note the course, college, and quota details if allotted
  • Take a screenshot or download the allotment details for your records

You have until 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM to submit objections to your allotment. This is a hard deadline — objections submitted after 11:00 AM will not be accepted. If you believe there is an error in your allotment (for example, you were allotted a course you did not choose, or a college you did not rank, or your category was wrongly classified), you must raise an objection immediately.

To submit an objection, log into your dashboard and navigate to the 'GRIEVANCES' option. Describe your objection clearly — state what the error is and provide evidence if possible (e.g., 'I did not choose this college' or 'My category should be OBC, not General'). CENTAC will review your objection and make corrections if valid.

Even if you have been allotted and are satisfied, you do not need to submit an objection. Objections are only for candidates who believe there is a mistake. However, if you have not been allotted and believe you should have been, you can also raise an objection explaining why.

  • Log into your CENTAC dashboard
  • Click on 'GRIEVANCES' option
  • Describe your objection clearly and concisely
  • Submit before 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM
  • Keep a record of your objection reference number if provided

Seats Allotted by Course and Quota

The table below shows exactly how many seats were available in Round 3 and how many have been allotted. This helps you understand the competition and whether your course had many or few available seats.

MBBS Government Quota had 429 seats available and all 429 were allotted (though 4 are subject to court orders and 1 is under MSP quota, so the actual number available may be lower). MBBS Management Quota had 427 seats available but only 407 were allotted, meaning 20 seats remain unfilled — these may be allotted in later rounds or may remain vacant. BDS Government Quota had 121 seats available and 120 were allotted. BDS Management Quota had 185 seats available but only 129 were allotted, leaving 56 seats unfilled.

BAMS (Ayurveda) Government Quota had 44 seats available but only 32 were allotted, leaving 12 unfilled. BVSc&AH (Veterinary Science) had 30 Management/Self-Supporting seats allotted and 2 NRI seats allotted. The total across all courses is 1,285 available seats and 1,196 allotted, meaning 89 seats remain unfilled after Round 3.

What Happens After You Submit an Objection?

After the objection deadline (12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM), CENTAC will review all objections raised by candidates. If your objection is found to be valid, your allotment will be corrected. If it is found to be invalid, your allotment will remain unchanged. CENTAC will then publish the Round 3 Provisional Allotment List, which incorporates all corrections.

The Provisional Allotment List is the final list for Round 3. Once it is published, you can download your provisional allotment order from your dashboard. Only after downloading this order should you approach your allotted college to complete admission formalities (document verification, fee payment, hostel registration, etc.).

If you do not see a Provisional Allotment List published within a reasonable time after 12 October, check the CENTAC website or contact the helpline for updates. Do not assume you have not been allotted if you cannot find the provisional list — it may still be under processing.

  • CENTAC reviews all objections submitted by 12 October 11:00 AM
  • Corrections are made to allotments if objections are valid
  • Round 3 Provisional Allotment List is published (date not specified in this notice)
  • Download your provisional allotment order from the dashboard
  • Only then approach your allotted college for admission

Key Dates and Deadlines

The critical dates for Round 3 are as follows. The Draft Allotment List was published on 11 October 2026. You have until 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM to check your status and submit objections — this is a hard deadline and no extensions are given. After this deadline, objections will not be accepted.

The notice does not specify when the Provisional Allotment List will be published, but it will be released after objections are processed. You should check the CENTAC website regularly or enable notifications to know when it is published. Once the provisional list is out, you will have a limited time to report to your allotted college for admission — the exact reporting date will be mentioned in the provisional allotment order.

  • 11 October 2026: Draft Allotment List published
  • 12 October 2026 by 11:00 AM: Deadline to submit objections via dashboard
  • After 12 October: CENTAC processes objections
  • Date TBD: Round 3 Provisional Allotment List published
  • Date TBD: Reporting date at allotted college (will be in provisional allotment order)

What If You Were Not Allotted in Round 3?

If the dashboard shows 'No Allotment' for you, it does not mean you have been rejected from the entire counselling process. It means your rank and choices did not match any available seat in Round 3. You may still be allotted in Round 4 or later rounds if seats become available or if you are eligible for a different quota or category.

Do not panic or assume your admission is lost. Counselling typically has multiple rounds, and seats are released as candidates decline or withdraw. If you believe you should have been allotted in Round 3 (for example, if your rank is very high or if you chose a college with many available seats), you can raise an objection explaining why. However, if your rank simply did not match the available seats, you will need to wait for the next round.

Keep your dashboard login credentials safe and check regularly for updates on future rounds. CENTAC will announce the schedule for Round 4 and subsequent rounds on the website.

  • No allotment in Round 3 does not mean rejection
  • You may be allotted in Round 4 or later rounds
  • Raise an objection if you believe there is an error
  • Check the website regularly for announcements of future rounds
  • Do not miss deadlines for future rounds

Important Traps and Common Mistakes to Avoid

**Trap 1: Approaching the college before the Provisional Allotment List is published.** Many candidates see their name in the draft list and rush to the college to pay fees or complete admission. This is a mistake. The draft list is not binding, and the college will not admit you based on it. Wait for the provisional list and download your provisional allotment order before going to the college.

**Trap 2: Missing the objection deadline.** The deadline to submit objections is 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM. If you submit an objection at 11:01 AM, it will be rejected. Set a reminder on your phone and submit well before the deadline — do not wait until the last minute.

**Trap 3: Not checking the dashboard at all.** Some candidates assume they have not been allotted without actually logging in to check. Always log in and verify your status. An SMS notification may be delayed or may not reach you, so the dashboard is the official source.

**Trap 4: Ignoring the court-order footnotes.** Four MBBS Government Quota seats are subject to pending court cases and may not be available. If you have been allotted one of these seats, understand that your admission is conditional and may be cancelled if the court rules against it. Do not make non-refundable payments or commitments until the court case is resolved.

  • Do not approach the college based on the draft list alone
  • Do not miss the 12 October 11:00 AM objection deadline
  • Always log into the dashboard to verify your status — do not rely on SMS alone
  • Be aware of court-order conditions on certain seats
  • Do not make any payments or commitments until the provisional list is published

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Draft Allotment List and the Provisional Allotment List?

The Draft Allotment List (published 11 October 2026) is preliminary and subject to change. It shows tentative seat allocations but is not binding — you have no legal right to the seat, and it can be modified based on objections or administrative corrections. The Provisional Allotment List (to be published after 12 October) is final for Round 3 and incorporates all objection corrections. Only after the provisional list is published should you approach your allotted college for admission.

I have been allotted a seat in the draft list. Can I go to the college now and pay fees?

No. Do not approach the college or pay any fees based on the draft list. The draft list is not final and can change. Wait for the Provisional Allotment List to be published, download your provisional allotment order from the dashboard, and only then go to the college. Paying fees based on the draft list is risky and may result in your money being forfeited if your allotment changes.

I was not allotted in Round 3. Does this mean I am rejected?

No. Not being allotted in Round 3 does not mean rejection. It means your rank and choices did not match any available seat in this round. You may be allotted in Round 4 or later rounds as seats become available. Keep checking the CENTAC website for announcements of future rounds and ensure you do not miss deadlines.

What should I do if I believe there is an error in my allotment?

Log into your dashboard, go to the 'GRIEVANCES' option, and describe your objection clearly (e.g., 'I was allotted a course I did not choose' or 'My category is wrong'). Submit your objection before 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM. CENTAC will review it and correct your allotment if the objection is valid. Objections submitted after 11:00 AM will not be accepted.

What does it mean that some MBBS Government seats are subject to court orders?

Four MBBS Government Quota seats are subject to a pending High Court case (W.A. No. 2674 of 2026), and two other seats are under different court orders. If you have been allotted one of these seats, your admission is conditional and may be cancelled if the court rules against it. Do not make non-refundable commitments until the court case is resolved. CENTAC will inform you of any changes.

When will the Provisional Allotment List be published?

The notice does not specify the exact date. It will be published after CENTAC processes all objections submitted by 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM. Check the CENTAC website www.centacpuducherry.in regularly or enable notifications to know when it is published. You can also check your dashboard for updates.

I received an SMS about my allotment. Is this official confirmation?

The SMS is a notification only, not official confirmation. Always verify your allotment status by logging into the CENTAC dashboard. The dashboard is the official source of information. The SMS may be delayed or incomplete, so do not rely on it alone.

Can I challenge the Draft Allotment List in court?

No. CENTAC explicitly states that the Draft Allotment List cannot be challenged in court. It is only indicative and subject to change. Your only recourse is to submit an objection through the dashboard by 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM. After the Provisional Allotment List is published, you may have legal options if you believe there is a violation of rules, but the draft list itself is not challengeable.

What if I cannot log into my dashboard?

Contact the CENTAC helpline at 0413-2655570 or 0413-2655571 during business hours. Have your registration number and email address ready. You can also submit a query through the 'Grievances' option if you can access the login page. The helpline staff will help you reset your password or troubleshoot login issues.

How many seats were allotted in Round 3 across all courses?

A total of 1,196 seats were allotted in Round 3 out of 1,285 available seats. This includes 429 MBBS Government Quota seats (subject to court conditions), 407 MBBS Management Quota seats, 120 BDS Government Quota seats, 129 BDS Management Quota seats, and seats in BAMS and BVSc&AH. This means 89 seats remain unfilled and may be allotted in later rounds.

What happens if I do not submit an objection by the deadline?

If you do not submit an objection by 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM, your allotment (or non-allotment) will be considered final for Round 3. You cannot raise objections after the deadline. If you believe there is an error, you may be able to raise it in later rounds, but it is best to act immediately during the objection window.

I was allotted a seat in a college far from my home. Can I request a different college?

The draft allotment is based on your rank, choices, and the quota you applied under. If you are unhappy with the allotted college, you can raise an objection only if there is a factual error (e.g., you did not choose this college). If the allotment is correct but you simply prefer a different college, you cannot change it in Round 3. You may have options in later rounds if seats become available in your preferred colleges.

Check your allotment status on the CENTAC dashboard immediately using your login credentials. If you have been allotted, verify the details are correct. If you spot any error or believe there is a mistake, submit an objection through the 'GRIEVANCES' option in your dashboard before 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM — this is a hard deadline and no extensions are given. Do not approach your allotted college or pay any fees until the Provisional Allotment List is published and you have downloaded your provisional allotment order. For help, visit www.centacpuducherry.in or call 0413-2655570/2655571.
