Puducherry NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Allotment: Check Status, Verify Docs & Join

Puducherry's Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has published the Round 1 Provisional Allotment List for NEET UG 2026 on 03 September 2026. This list covers MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BVSc&AH courses across Government, Management, NRI and Sports quotas. A total of 908 seats have been allotted out of 929 available. If you applied for a Puducherry NEET UG course, you must now check your allotment status, verify your documents at the CENTAC office, pay your fees, and report to your allotted college by 07 September 2026 at 5 PM to secure your seat.

What is this allotment list and why does it matter?

This is the official Round 1 Provisional Allotment List published by CENTAC after reviewing objections and grievances candidates raised against the draft list. It shows which candidate has been allotted which seat in which college, across all NEET UG professional courses in Puducherry.

This allotment is 'provisional' — it becomes final only after you verify your original documents at the CENTAC office and complete admission formalities at your college. If you are on this list, you have a seat reserved, but you must act immediately to confirm it. If you do not appear for document verification or do not join by the deadline, your seat will be cancelled and offered to the next candidate.

The notice also covers BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and BVSc&AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) courses, but the focus for most NEET aspirants will be MBBS and BDS.

How many seats were allotted in Round 1?

Out of 929 total available seats across all courses and quotas, 908 seats have been allotted in Round 1. This means 21 seats remain unallotted — these may be filled in subsequent rounds or may remain vacant if no eligible candidate accepts them.

Additionally, 4 MBBS seats under Government Quota have been withheld pending the outcome of a Writ Appeal (W.A. No. 2674 of 2026) in the High Court of Madras. These seats are not available for allotment until the court decides the case.

Important: Seats excluded from Round 1

MBBS seats in Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and BDS seats in Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College have been excluded from Round 1 allotment. This means these seats are not being filled in this round — they may be filled in later rounds or may be handled separately.

Additionally, candidates who were allotted seats at JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) under the 'Internal-Puducherry U.T. Domicile' category through MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) and who did not express willingness to participate in CENTAC counselling have been removed from the CENTAC Round 1 list. If you fall into this category, you are not eligible for CENTAC allotment in this round.

How to check if you have been allotted a seat

From 03 September 2026 onwards, you can log into your CENTAC dashboard using your login credentials (usually your registration number and password from the counselling registration) to check your allotment status.

On the dashboard, you will see whether you have been allotted a seat, and if yes, which college, which course, and which quota/category. You can also download your allotment order from the dashboard. Keep this order safe — you will need to show it when you report to your college.

Document verification: MSP candidates (04.09.2026)

If you have been allotted a seat under the MSP (Minority Sports Person) quota, you must report to the CENTAC office on 04 September 2026 for verification of your original documents. This is a mandatory step — your allotment order will not be enabled (activated) until your documents have been verified and approved.

Bring all original certificates with you — these typically include your NEET admit card, NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, caste/category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, and any other documents specified in the counselling prospectus. Do not send documents by post or courier; you must appear in person.

If you do not appear for verification on 04 September 2026, your allotment will be cancelled and your seat will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.

Document verification: NRI candidates (04–07.09.2026)

If you have been allotted a seat under the NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota, you must report to the CENTAC office between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on any day from 04 September 2026 to 07 September 2026 for verification of your original documents. Like MSP candidates, your allotment order will not be enabled until verification is complete.

NRI candidates must bring all original documents, including proof of NRI status (such as a passport showing NRI status, OCI certificate, or PIO certificate), NEET scorecard, educational certificates, and any other documents required. The verification window is 4 days, so plan your visit accordingly — do not wait until the last day.

If you do not complete verification by 07 September 2026, 3:00 PM, your allotment will be cancelled.

Reporting to your college and joining deadline

After downloading your allotment order from the dashboard, you must report to the Principal of your allotted college. Bring with you: (1) your allotment order (downloaded from the dashboard), (2) all original certificates (NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, caste/category certificate if applicable, domicile certificate, medical fitness certificate, and any other documents listed in the prospectus), and (3) proof of fee payment (if applicable).

The last date and time for joining is 07 September 2026 at 5:00 PM. This is a hard deadline — if you do not report to your college by this time, your seat will be cancelled. Admission is strictly subject to production of all original certificates and completion of admission formalities (such as filling out the admission form, paying any college-level fees, and undergoing a medical examination if required).

Do not delay. Even if you are still arranging documents, report to the college by the deadline and inform the Principal of any missing documents — most colleges will allow you a short grace period to submit them, but only if you have reported on time.

Fee payment: who pays and how much

The fee structure for all UG NEET courses for 2026–2027 has been uploaded on the CENTAC website (www.centacpuducherry.in). Log into your dashboard to see the exact fee amount for your course, college and quota.

You must transfer the fee to the CENTAC account by following the payment instructions shown in your dashboard. Read the HELP instructions carefully before making the payment — incorrect payment details or a payment made to the wrong account will delay your admission. The fee you pay to CENTAC will be transferred by CENTAC to your college.

However, certain categories of candidates do NOT need to pay any fee — see the next section for details.

Fee exemptions: who does not need to pay

The following candidates are exempt from fee payment and do not need to transfer any money to the CENTAC account:

Puducherry SC/ST (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe) candidates allotted seats under Government Quota: their fee will be paid by the AD (Assistant Director) Welfare Department.

Puducherry EBC (Economically Backward Class) candidates allotted seats under Government Quota: their fee will be paid by the Fisheries Department.

Puducherry candidates allotted seats under the 10% Government School reservation: they do not need to pay any fee.

If you fall into one of these categories, you still need to report to your college with your allotment order and original documents, but you do not need to make any payment. Inform the college that your fee will be paid by the relevant government department.

Critical dates and deadlines — do not miss these

The timeline for Round 1 is very tight. Here are the key dates you must remember:

03 September 2026: Allotment list published; you can check your status and download your allotment order from the dashboard.

04 September 2026: MSP candidates must report to CENTAC office for document verification.

04–07 September 2026: NRI candidates must report to CENTAC office (between 10 AM and 3 PM) for document verification.

07 September 2026, 5:00 PM: Last date and time to report to your allotted college and complete joining formalities. After this, your seat will be cancelled.

If you miss any of these deadlines, your allotment will be cancelled and you will not be admitted. There are no extensions or grace periods.

Common mistakes that get your allotment cancelled

Not checking the allotment list: Many candidates assume they have not been allotted if they do not receive an SMS or email. Always log into the dashboard to check — the notice says SMS has been sent, but it is your responsibility to verify.

Missing the document verification deadline: If you are an MSP or NRI candidate and do not appear for verification by the specified date, your allotment order will not be enabled and your seat will be cancelled. There is no second chance.

Not reporting to college by 07 September 2026, 5 PM: This is the hardest deadline. Even if you have verified your documents and paid your fee, if you do not physically report to your college by this time, your seat will be cancelled. Do not assume you can join later.

Bringing incomplete or wrong documents: Bring all original certificates — photocopies are not accepted. If you are missing even one required document (such as a caste certificate or domicile certificate), the college may refuse to admit you. Check the prospectus in advance to know exactly which documents you need.

Paying the fee to the wrong account or not paying at all: If you are required to pay a fee and you do not pay, or if you pay to an account other than the CENTAC account specified in your dashboard, your admission will be delayed or cancelled. Follow the dashboard instructions exactly.

Not reading the HELP instructions before making a payment: The notice specifically warns candidates to read the HELP instructions carefully before paying. Incorrect payment details are a common cause of payment failure.
