The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) of Puducherry has published the Round 1 Provisional Allotment List for MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) postgraduate courses for the 2026-27 academic year on 07 September 2026. This means no candidate has been allotted to this college in this round. If you had chosen this college as one of your preferences, you will not be allotted to it now. The reason for this exclusion is not stated in the notice, but it may be due to administrative, recognition, or infrastructure issues. How to check your allotment status and download your allotment order

Fee payment: amounts, method, and who pays

The Puducherry AD (Assistant Director) Welfare Department will pay your fee on your behalf. This is a benefit provided by the Puducherry government to SC/ST candidates.

Common mistakes that get your admission cancelled

Mistake 2: Not carrying original certificates. Many candidates carry only photocopies or assume they can submit originals later. The college will not admit you without originals. Mistake 4: Not downloading the allotment order. Your allotment order is proof that you have been allotted. Without it, the college will not admit you. Download it as soon as it is available (from 07 September 2026) and keep it safe.

What happens after you report and pay the fee

Once you have reported to the college, submitted all original certificates, and paid the fee, the college will complete your admission formalities. This typically includes filling out an admission form, providing you with a student ID, registering you in the college's system, and issuing you an admission receipt. The college will also provide you with information about the course start date, hostel (if applicable), and other administrative details.

After admission is complete, your allotment becomes final. You are now officially a student of that college for the MDS course. If you later wish to withdraw or transfer to another college, you will need to follow the college's withdrawal policy and may lose your fee or part of it.

What if you were not allotted in Round 1

If your name does not appear on this Round 1 allotment list, it means you were not allotted a seat in this round. This could happen for several reasons: (1) Your rank was not high enough to secure a seat in any of the colleges and specialities you chose, (2) You chose only colleges or specialities that had very high cutoffs, (3) There were more candidates with higher ranks than you competing for the same seats, or (4) You did not fill your choices correctly during counselling.

Do not panic. CENTAC will announce the schedule for Round 2 counselling. In Round 2, more seats may become available (from candidates who did not report or who withdrew), and you will have another chance to be allotted.
