The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) board has issued the schedule and instructions for candidates who received an MBBS or BDS seat allotment in the 1st round of Odisha's NEET UG state counselling for 2026. This is not a fresh application — it applies only to candidates who already have a 1st round allotment. Every such candidate must report in person at the OJEE office in Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, on a specific date and time slot depending on which college they were allotted, carrying original documents and photocopies, to complete 'provisional admission'. The notice also lays out the admission fee for each college and warns that candidates who skip this step will lose their allotted seat.

Every candidate allotted an MBBS/BDS seat in OJEE's 1st round must personally report at the OJEE office in Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, on their allotted college's specific date and time (28 August to 3 September 2026) with original documents, or the seat will be cancelled and treated as 'non-reported'.

OJEE — SCHEDULE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROVISIONAL ADMISSION TO MBBS/BDS (1 st ROUND COUNSELLING)Official PDF notice published by OJEE. Always confirm details against the official document.

Who this applies to and what it is

This notice is only for candidates who already have a seat allotment from OJEE's 1st round of MBBS/BDS counselling for 2026. If you have not received an allotment in round 1, this schedule does not concern you yet — you would wait for the next round.

'Provisional admission' means OJEE physically verifies your documents, collects your admission fee, and issues you a provisional admission letter. This happens at the OJEE office, not at your allotted college. The final admission is completed later by the college itself, after the entire counselling process (all rounds) is over.

Reporting schedule — date, time and venue by college

All reporting happens at one venue: the OJEE Office, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar. Candidates must check the college they were allotted and report only on the specified date and time slot below. Reaching your correct time slot matters — this is not a single day for everyone.

OJEE 1st round provisional admission reporting schedule (Venue: OJEE Office, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar)

What you must bring and do at the OJEE office

Before travelling to Gandamunda, complete two things using your OJEE login: choose Freeze or Float, and pay the admission fee (unless you plan to pay by demand draft on the spot).

'Freeze' means you accept this seat and will not be considered for upgrade in later rounds. 'Float' means you accept this seat for now but remain open to a better seat in a later round if you get one. If you choose Freeze, you must bring a signed Bond in the format given on the OJEE website.

The admission fee can be paid online through your login, or by demand draft drawn in favour of 'OJEE', payable at any scheduled bank in Bhubaneswar. If paying by draft, write the candidate's name, NEET application number and date of birth on the back of the draft, and submit it at the OJEE office at the time of reporting.

Only the candidate, or the candidate with one guardian, should come to the OJEE office — not larger groups.

  • Original certificates and mark sheets, plus one full set of photocopies
  • Affidavit and other required documents in original, as specified by OJEE
  • Demand draft (if fee is not already paid online)
  • Bond in the prescribed format (only if you have opted for Freeze)
  • Nativity Certificate in original — this and the College Leaving Certificate (CLC) must be submitted before you receive your provisional admission letter
  • College Leaving Certificate (CLC) in original

The trap: submit Nativity Certificate and CLC or you get no admission letter

The notice specifically states that the provisional admission letter is issued only after the candidate deposits the admission fee AND submits the Nativity Certificate and CLC (College Leaving Certificate) in original. These two documents are non-negotiable — without them, OJEE will not hand over your provisional admission letter even if you have paid the fee and brought everything else.

Make sure your Nativity Certificate and CLC are genuine originals and not photocopies or attested copies, and carry them along with the rest of your document set.

Do not go to your college yet

The notice explicitly warns candidates not to report at their allotted college at this stage. Reporting to OJEE's office is only for provisional admission. The actual, final admission at the college happens later — after the entire counselling process (including further rounds) is complete, when OJEE sends the final list of admitted students and fees to each institute, and the institute completes its own admission formalities.

If any refund is due to a candidate later (for example, if someone shifts from a private college to a government college seat in a later round), OJEE will process and pay that refund after the final admission dates, following government procedure.

What happens if you don't report

If you fail to follow any of these steps — reporting on time, exercising Freeze/Float, paying the fee, submitting the required originals — you will be treated as a 'non-reported candidate' and your allotted seat will be cancelled.

You are not shut out of the process entirely, though: a non-reported candidate may still participate in Round 2 by filling fresh choices. But you lose the seat you were allotted in Round 1.

Fee structure by college

The admission fee depends on whether your allotted college is a government or private institution. Government colleges charge a flat annual fee, plus any additional institutional-level fees the college itself decides to collect. Private colleges each have their own annual fee, and NRI category candidates pay four times the listed private-college fee.

OJEE has added a note that if the government revises the fee structure by government order, the revised fee will automatically apply — so students should treat these figures as current but subject to official revision.

College TypeFee (per annum)
Government Medical/Dental Colleges (all)Rs. 37,950/- (additional institutional fees may apply, varies by college)
Hi-Tech MCH, Bhubaneswar (MBBS)Rs. 11,56,000/-
Hi-Tech MCH, Rourkela (MBBS)Rs. 8,54,000/-
DRIEMS Institute of Health Sciences & Hospital, Kairapari, Cuttack (MBBS)Rs. 9,08,000/-

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to report to my allotted college now?

No. The notice specifically tells candidates not to report at their allotted college at this stage. You only report to the OJEE office in Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar. Final admission at the college happens later, after the full counselling process is over.

What happens if I miss my scheduled date and time?

You will be treated as a 'non-reported candidate' and your allotted seat will be cancelled. You can still try again in Round 2 by filling fresh choices, but you lose the seat you were allotted in Round 1.

Can I send my parent to report on my behalf?

No. The candidate must come personally — either alone, or accompanied by only one guardian. Documents must be submitted by the candidate at the OJEE office.

What is the difference between Freeze and Float?

Freeze means you accept this seat permanently and will not be considered for a better seat in later rounds — you must submit a Bond in the prescribed format if you choose this. Float means you keep this seat for now but remain eligible for an upgrade if a better allotment comes in a later round.

Which two documents are absolutely mandatory to get the provisional admission letter?

The Nativity Certificate and the College Leaving Certificate (CLC), both in original. OJEE will not issue the provisional admission letter without these two, even if the fee is paid and other documents are submitted.

How do I pay the admission fee?

Either online through your OJEE login, or by demand draft in favour of 'OJEE', payable at a scheduled bank in Bhubaneswar. If paying by draft, write your name, NEET application number, and date of birth on the back of the draft.

Will I get a refund if I later move to a government college from a private one?

Yes, but only in that specific situation — shifting from a private college to a government college seat in a later round. OJEE will process the refund after the final admission dates, as per government procedure.

What is the admission fee for government medical colleges?

Rs. 37,950 per annum, though individual government colleges may collect additional fees at the institutional level, which vary by college.

Check the table above for your allotted college's exact reporting date and time, and gather every document — especially your Nativity Certificate and CLC in original — well before you travel to the OJEE office in Gandamunda. Decide your Freeze or Float option and arrange your fee payment (online or draft) in advance to avoid delays on the day. If you cannot report or your seat gets cancelled for any reason, you remain eligible to try again in Round 2.
