Odisha's Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) board has released the schedule and instructions for the 3rd round of MBBS and BDS counselling. All candidates who received a new allotment in this round must report in person to the OJEE office in Bhubaneswar on either 12 or 13 October 2026, depending on their allotted college. This is a critical step: failure to report on time will result in your seat being cancelled and you being barred from future counselling rounds. The notice specifies exact reporting times for each college, the documents you must bring, the fees you must pay, and different rules depending on whether you are newly allotted, upgraded from an earlier round, or an NRI candidate.
You must report in person to OJEE office on 12–13 October 2026 with original documents, bond, and admission fees, or your seat will be cancelled and you will be barred from all future rounds.

Unlock My College ListWhat is the 3rd Round and Who Must Report?
The 3rd round is the third and final round of counselling in Odisha's NEET UG 2026 admission process. If you received a new allotment in this round—meaning you were allocated a seat for the first time, or your seat changed from an earlier round—you must report to the OJEE office in person. This applies to all newly allotted candidates, whether they are in the general category, reserved category, or NRI quota.
There are three types of candidates in this round: (1) newly allotted candidates who have never reported before, (2) candidates who were allotted in round 1 or 2 and have now been upgraded to a better college or category, and (3) candidates whose allotment from an earlier round has been retained (unchanged). Each group has different reporting requirements, explained in detail below.
Reporting Schedule: Date, Time and College
All reporting must happen at the OJEE office at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar. The schedule is split across two days: 12 October 2026 and 13 October 2026. Each college has a specific time slot. You must arrive during your assigned time slot—arriving late or on the wrong day will result in your application being rejected.
The table below shows every college, the date, and the exact time window. Find your allotted college and note the date and time. If your college is listed as '(EXCEPT NRI CATEGORY)', you are not eligible to report at that time slot if you are an NRI candidate; instead, all NRI candidates report together on 13 October 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

Documents You Must Bring (Original + Photocopies)

The notice does not provide a detailed list of every document, but it explicitly mentions the following must be brought: certificates, mark sheets, bond (if applicable), CLC (Character/Conduct Certificate), and 'other required documents'. The bond is mandatory for candidates as per government guidelines and must be in the name of your final allotted college.
The most critical documents are: (1) your 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, (2) your NEET admit card and score card, (3) your Nativity Certificate (proof that you are an Odisha resident, if applicable), (4) your CLC from your school, (5) your caste/category certificate if you are applying under a reserved category, (6) your allotment letter from OJEE, and (7) a bond or affidavit as per government notification. Do not assume—check your allotment letter and the OJEE website for the complete list specific to your category and college type.
- Certificates and mark sheets (10th and 12th)

- Nativity Certificate (if required)
- Character/Conduct Certificate (CLC)

Admission Fees: How Much and How to Pay
Know the exact MBBS/BDS colleges your rank can get
Official 2023–2025 closing ranks and fees, matched to your rank.
The admission fee you must pay depends on whether your allotted college is government-run or private. Government colleges charge a flat fee; private colleges charge different amounts depending on the specific institution. All fees listed below are per annum (yearly). Additionally, all admitted candidates must pay Rs. 3,500 towards university registration fees at their respective institutes during admission.
You can pay the admission fee in two ways: (1) online using your OJEE login ID, or (2) by demand draft. If you choose to pay by demand draft, it must be drawn in favour of 'OJEE' from any nationalised bank and must be payable at Bhubaneswar. Write your name and NEET application number on the back of the draft and submit it at the OJEE office when you report. If you upgrade to a college with a higher fee, you must pay the difference as an additional demand draft.
| College Type | Institution | Annual Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Government Medical/Dental Colleges | All government colleges | Rs. 37,950 per annum |
| Private Medical Colleges (MBBS) | HiTech MCH Bhubaneswar | Rs. 11,56,000 per annum |
| Private Medical Colleges (MBBS) | HiTech MCH Rourkela | Rs. 8,54,000 per annum |
| Private Medical Colleges (MBBS) | DRIEMS Institute of Health Sciences & Hospital | Rs. 9,08,000 per annum |
| Private Dental Colleges (BDS) | HiTech Dental College | Rs. 3,00,000 per annum |
| NRI Candidates (Private Colleges) | All private colleges | 4 times the above fees |
| All Admitted Candidates | University Registration (at institute) | Rs. 3,500 (one-time) |
Different Rules for Newly Allotted, Upgraded, and Retained Candidates
The reporting process differs depending on your situation. If you are a newly allotted candidate (receiving a seat for the first time in this round), you must report to the OJEE office on your scheduled date and time with all documents, bond, and fees. You will receive your final admission letter from OJEE after depositing fees and submitting your Nativity Certificate and CLC in original.
If you were allotted in round 1 or 2 and have now been upgraded (your seat changed to a better college or category), you must first exercise the 'Freeze or Float' option using your login ID and complete the payment process online. Then, if you have already reported to OJEE in an earlier round, you do NOT need to return to the OJEE office; instead, download your final allotment letter from your login and report directly to your new allotted college to submit the bond/affidavit in the name of your final college. Your earlier allotment letter is now cancelled. If you upgrade to a college with higher fees, you must pay the difference as a demand draft at OJEE office.
If your allotment from round 1 or 2 has been retained (unchanged) and you have already submitted your bond at OJEE office, you do NOT need to return to OJEE. Download your final allotment letter from your login and report to your college. However, if you retained your allotment but have NOT yet submitted your bond at OJEE office, you must report to your allotted college (not OJEE) with your final admission letter to submit the bond/affidavit. If you upgrade from a private college to a government college, you must report to OJEE with your bond/affidavit and provide your bank details so OJEE can refund the extra amount you paid.
- Newly allotted: Report to OJEE office on your scheduled date with all documents, bond, and fees.
- Upgraded (already reported in round 1/2): Exercise Freeze/Float online, download final allotment letter, report to your new college (not OJEE) to submit bond.
- Upgraded (not yet reported): Exercise Freeze/Float online, report to OJEE office on your scheduled date with documents, bond, and extra fees if applicable.
- Retained (already submitted bond): Download final allotment letter from login, no need to report to OJEE.
- Retained (bond not yet submitted): Report to your allotted college (not OJEE) with final admission letter to submit bond.
- Upgraded from private to government college: Report to OJEE with bond/affidavit and bank details for refund of extra fees.
The Freeze and Float Option: What It Means
All newly allotted candidates and upgraded candidates must exercise the 'Freeze or Float' option using their OJEE login ID. This option determines whether your seat will be considered for internal sliding (a minor adjustment within the same college or category) before the stray vacancy round. Freeze means you lock your seat and do not want any further changes; Float means you are open to internal adjustments. You must complete this step and the payment process before you can proceed with admission.
This is a mandatory step—do not skip it. The notice does not explain the detailed difference between Freeze and Float, so log into your OJEE account and read the instructions carefully before making your choice.
Critical Traps: What Will Get Your Seat Cancelled
Failure to report on time is the biggest trap. If you do not report to OJEE office (or your college, depending on your category) on your scheduled date and time, your seat will be cancelled immediately. You will also be barred from participating in any future counselling rounds, including the stray vacancy round. There is no grace period and no exceptions mentioned in the notice.
Another trap: if you are upgraded and have already reported in round 1 or 2, you must NOT return to the OJEE office—you must go directly to your new college. Going to OJEE instead of your college may cause delays and confusion. Similarly, if you retained your allotment and already submitted your bond, do not go to OJEE again; just download your letter and report to your college.
Every kind of MBBS/BDS seat, one rank
See the real seats your NEET rank can reach.
A third trap: if you upgrade to a college with higher fees, you must pay the difference. If you do not pay the extra fees, your admission will not be processed. For NRI candidates, remember that private college fees are four times the standard rate—this is a significant amount and must be paid in full.
Finally, the notice states: 'No withdrawal will be allowed after final allotment in the 3rd Round.' This means once you report and are provisionally admitted, you cannot back out. If you do not report, you are debarred from the stray vacancy round. There is no middle ground.
- ⚠️ Miss your reporting date/time → seat cancelled + barred from all future rounds
- ⚠️ Upgraded but already reported in round 1/2 → go to your new college, NOT OJEE
- ⚠️ Upgrade to higher-fee college → must pay the fee difference
- ⚠️ NRI in private college → fees are 4× the standard rate
- ⚠️ No withdrawal allowed after 3rd round allotment
Who Can Come With You and What Happens After Reporting
You can come alone or with only one guardian. The notice explicitly states: 'Either the candidate alone or with only one of his/her guardians, should come with the demand draft and all other necessary documents.' This means both parents cannot attend, and bringing multiple family members is not permitted.
After you report and deposit your admission fees and submit your Nativity Certificate and CLC in original, the OJEE office will give you a final admission letter and an acknowledgement of your submitted documents. This is your proof of provisional admission. After all reporting is complete, OJEE will send the list of admitted students and fees to your college, and the college will complete the remaining formalities. If any refund is due (for example, if you shifted from a private college to a government college), it will be processed by OJEE after final admission dates and paid according to government procedure.
Internal Sliding Round and Stray Vacancy Round
After all reporting is complete in the 3rd round, an internal sliding round may be conducted if required. This is a minor adjustment round where seats may shift within colleges based on the Freeze/Float choices you made. You are advised to keep checking the OJEE website regularly for updates.
If you do not report in the 3rd round, you will be barred from the stray vacancy round (the final round where remaining seats are filled). This is a permanent consequence—you cannot participate in any further counselling. Therefore, reporting on time is absolutely critical.
Important: Nativity Certificate and CLC Must Be in Original
The notice emphasizes that your Nativity Certificate and CLC (Character/Conduct Certificate) must be submitted in original at the OJEE office. These are not documents you can submit later at your college. You must bring them when you report for provisional admission. Without these, you will not receive your final admission letter from OJEE.
Make sure your Nativity Certificate clearly shows that you are an Odisha resident (if you are applying under the Odisha quota). Your CLC must be issued by your school and must be in good standing. Any issues with these documents should be resolved before your reporting date.
Payment by Demand Draft: How to Do It Correctly
If you choose to pay by demand draft instead of online, follow these steps: (1) Go to any nationalised bank and request a demand draft in favour of 'OJEE' for the amount specified for your college. (2) The draft must be payable at Bhubaneswar. (3) On the back of the draft, write your name and your NEET application number clearly. (4) Bring the draft to the OJEE office on your scheduled reporting date and time. (5) Submit it along with all your documents.
Do not send the draft by post or courier. You must bring it in person. If you are upgrading to a college with higher fees, you will need to submit an additional demand draft for the difference. Online payment is faster and recommended if possible.

See My CollegesFrequently asked questions
I got a new allotment in the 3rd round. Do I have to report to OJEE office or my college?
If you are newly allotted (receiving a seat for the first time in this round), you must report to the OJEE office at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar on your scheduled date and time with all documents, bond, and fees. After you deposit fees and submit your Nativity Certificate and CLC, OJEE will give you a final admission letter. Then you report to your college. If you were upgraded from an earlier round and have already reported to OJEE, you go directly to your new college instead.
What happens if I miss my reporting date and time?
Your seat will be cancelled immediately. You will also be permanently barred from participating in any future counselling rounds, including the stray vacancy round. There is no grace period or exception. You must report during your exact time slot on your scheduled date.
I was allotted in round 2 and have now been upgraded in round 3. Do I need to go to OJEE office again?
It depends. If you have already reported to OJEE office in round 2, you do NOT go to OJEE again. Instead, exercise the Freeze/Float option online, download your final allotment letter from your login, and report directly to your new allotted college to submit the bond/affidavit in the name of your final college. Your earlier allotment is cancelled. If you upgrade to a college with higher fees, you must pay the difference as a demand draft at OJEE office before reporting to your college.
I am an NRI candidate. When and where do I report?
All NRI quota allotted candidates report on 13 October 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the OJEE office, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, regardless of which college you are allotted to. You must bring all documents, bond, and fees. Note that NRI candidates in private colleges must pay four times the standard fee.
What is the Freeze or Float option and do I have to choose it?
Yes, you must choose Freeze or Float using your OJEE login ID. Freeze locks your seat and prevents further changes; Float allows internal sliding adjustments before the stray vacancy round. This is mandatory for all newly allotted and upgraded candidates. The notice does not provide detailed guidance on which to choose, so read the instructions on the OJEE portal carefully.
How much admission fee do I have to pay?
Government colleges charge Rs. 37,950 per annum. Private colleges charge different amounts: HiTech Bhubaneswar (MBBS) Rs. 11,56,000, HiTech Rourkela (MBBS) Rs. 8,54,000, DRIEMS (MBBS) Rs. 9,08,000, and HiTech Dental Rs. 3,00,000. NRI candidates pay four times these amounts. Additionally, all admitted candidates pay Rs. 3,500 towards university registration at their college. You can pay online or by demand draft.
Can I bring both my parents to the OJEE office when I report?
No. The notice states you can come alone or with only one guardian. Both parents cannot attend. Bring only one parent or guardian along with all your documents and fees.
I retained my allotment from round 2 and already submitted my bond at OJEE. Do I need to go to OJEE again?
No. You do not need to return to OJEE. Download your final allotment letter from your login ID and report to your college. If you retained your allotment but have NOT yet submitted your bond at OJEE, you must report to your college (not OJEE) with your final admission letter to submit the bond/affidavit.
What documents must I bring in original?
You must bring all certificates, mark sheets, bond (as per government guidelines), CLC (Character/Conduct Certificate), Nativity Certificate, and other required documents in original. Bring one complete set of photocopies as well. The notice does not list every document, so check your allotment letter and the OJEE website for the complete list specific to your category and college type.
I upgraded from a private college to a government college. What do I do?
You must report to the OJEE office with your bond/affidavit and provide your bank details so OJEE can refund the extra amount you paid at the private college. This refund will be processed after final admission dates according to government procedure.
Can I withdraw after I report and get provisionally admitted in the 3rd round?
No. The notice explicitly states: 'No withdrawal will be allowed after final allotment in the 3rd Round.' Once you report and are provisionally admitted, you cannot back out. If you do not report, you are debarred from the stray vacancy round.
What if I upgrade to a college with higher fees? Do I have to pay the difference?
Yes. If you upgrade to a college where the fee is more than what you previously deposited, you must pay the difference as an additional demand draft at the OJEE office in favour of 'OJEE' drawn at any nationalised bank payable at Bhubaneswar. Write your name and NEET application number on the back of the draft.
Your reporting date is either 12 or 13 October 2026. Find your allotted college in the schedule table above and note your exact reporting time. Gather all original documents (certificates, mark sheets, bond, CLC, Nativity Certificate), one complete set of photocopies, and your admission fee (online or as a demand draft). Report to the OJEE office at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar on your scheduled date and time—do not be late. After depositing fees and submitting your Nativity Certificate and CLC, you will receive your final admission letter. Then report to your college. If you do not report, your seat will be cancelled and you will be barred from all future counselling rounds.
