Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada — the authority that runs Andhra Pradesh's Competent Authority Quota counselling for MBBS and BDS seats — has released the schedule for physical verification of original certificates for candidates who applied under the 'Sports & Games' reservation category for the 2026-27 academic year. This is not a new application window; it is a mandatory in-person document check that decides whether a candidate's sports quota claim is accepted at all. The notice, dated 25 August 2026, follows an earlier office notification of 5 August 2026 and a communication from the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), Vijayawada. It lists 249 candidates by NEET roll number, rank, score, name and gender, split across two verification days, along with the exact documents and certificate formats each candidate must carry.

If you applied under the Sports & Games category, you must appear in person with all original certificates on your allotted day (31 August or 1 September 2026) — missing it means you lose the sports quota claim permanently, with no further correspondence entertained.

Verification schedule: who goes on which day

The university has split the 249 listed Sports & Games applicants into two batches by their serial number (Sl.No) in the notice annexure, not by NEET rank. Candidates must check their own Sl.No in the annexure to know which day to report.

Verification takes place at the Silver Jubilee Block, 2nd Floor, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, starting 10:00 AM on both days. The notice also warns candidates to be prepared to stay an extra day if verification is not completed on their scheduled date.

⚠️ What happens if you don't turn up

The notice is explicit and strict on this point: candidates who fail to attend physical verification of original certificates before the SAAP authorities on their scheduled date will NOT be considered under the Sports & Games category. The university has also stated that no correspondence will be entertained afterward — there is no mention of a re-verification date, appeal process, or extension in this notice.

In effect, missing your slot does not just delay your sports quota claim — it removes the reservation benefit from your candidature altogether for this admission cycle.

Documents you must carry — in original plus two photocopy sets

Every document below must be brought in original, along with TWO sets of photostat (Xerox) copies. Carrying only photocopies, or only one set of copies, is not sufficient as per this notice.

  • 10th Class and Intermediate (+2) Marks Memos
  • UG NEET – 2026 Rank Card
  • Aadhar Card
  • Sports achievement certificates
  • Backup certificates supporting the highest achievement claimed
  • The relevant certificate format — Form I, Form II, Form III or Form IV — as applicable to your sport/competition level (see next section)
  • Two passport-size photographs of the candidate

⚠️ The trap: using the wrong certificate format (Form I–IV) or wrong signatory

The notice attaches four separate certificate proforma, and each applies to a different level of sporting achievement. Submitting the wrong form, or a form not personally signed by the specified authority, can get a claim rejected — none of these formats accept a photocopy signature or a signature by a subordinate official.

Read carefully which form matches your achievement before the verification date, and get it issued afresh if your existing certificate does not match the required format or signatory.

  • Form I — For International Championships (medal or participation) issued by the National Federation/National Association. Valid only when personally signed by the Secretary of the National Federation/National Association.
  • Form II — For Association Nationals competitions (National/South Zone medals or participation, and State medals) issued by the State Association. Valid only when personally signed by the Secretary of the National Federation/National/State Association.
  • Form III — For University Championships (Inter-collegiate, South Zone University, All India, or World Inter-University events) issued by the University. Valid only when personally signed by the Dean/Director or the officer in overall charge of Sports in that university.
  • Form IV — For SGF (State Games Federation) events, Central Government schemes, and other events such as World/Asian school games or National/State/Inter-District games, issued by the DEO/DYSO/Secretary SGF. Valid only when personally signed by the concerned DEO/DYSO/Secretary SGF.

How to check if your name is on the list

The notice annexure lists all 249 candidates individually with their NEET roll number, NEET rank, NEET score, name (as per NEET) and gender, arranged in serial order. Candidates should locate their own NEET roll number in the official notice (available on the NTRUHS website) to confirm their Sl.No and, therefore, their reporting day and time.

Because the list is long and rank-ordered is not the same as Sl.No-ordered in every case, do not assume your day based on your NEET rank alone — always confirm against your Sl.No in the official annexure.

Practical tips before you go

Since the university has warned candidates to be ready to stay an extra day if needed, plan travel and accommodation in Vijayawada with some buffer, especially if your Sl.No falls near the end of either day's batch.

Arrive with all documents arranged in the order listed in the notice, with two clear sets of photocopies for each — this speeds up verification and avoids being sent back to arrange missing copies.

Frequently asked questions

Who needs to attend this verification?

Only candidates who applied for reservation under the 'Sports & Games' category for MBBS/BDS admission under Andhra Pradesh's Competent Authority Quota 2026-27, and whose names appear in the 249-candidate list attached to this notice.

What if I can't make it on my scheduled day?

The notice states clearly that candidates who do not attend physical verification on the scheduled date will not be considered under the Sports & Games category, and no correspondence will be entertained. There is no alternate date mentioned.

Which certificate form should I use?

It depends on the level of your sporting achievement: Form I for international championships issued by a National Federation, Form II for national/state association-issued medals, Form III for university-level inter-collegiate or inter-university events, and Form IV for SGF, Central Government scheme events, or state/district-level school games.

Can I submit a photocopy of my sports certificate instead of the original?

No. The notice requires all original certificates, along with two sets of photostat copies, at the time of verification.

Do I need my NEET 2026 rank card for this verification?

Yes. The UG NEET – 2026 Rank Card is listed as one of the mandatory original documents to be produced during verification.

Where is the verification happening?

At the Silver Jubilee Block, 2nd Floor, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, starting 10:00 AM on both scheduled days.

What if my Sl.No is 125 or close to a batch boundary — will I be seen the same day?

The notice assigns Sl.No 1 to 125 to Day 1 (31 August 2026) and Sl.No 126 onward to Day 2 (1 September 2026). Check your exact Sl.No in the official annexure to confirm your day.

Is this the same as final seat allotment?

No. This is a certificate verification step for the Sports & Games reservation category. It confirms your eligibility for that category; it does not itself allot a seat.

Find your NEET roll number and Sl.No in the official NTRUHS notice, confirm your reporting day, and arrange every original document plus two photocopy sets — especially the correct Form (I to IV) with a valid, personally-signed signatory — well before 31 August 2026. Since there is no provision for a missed slot in this notice, treat your assigned date as final and plan to reach Vijayawada with a buffer day.
