What Information Your Scorecard Contains
Your NEET PG scorecard is not just a record of your marks — it is a comprehensive document that contains all the information counselling authorities and medical colleges need to verify your eligibility and rank. The scorecard includes your full name, roll number, application number, and your raw marks obtained in the examination.
Beyond marks, the scorecard displays your percentile (how you performed relative to all other candidates), your All India Rank (AIR), and your qualifying status (whether you have passed the exam). It also records your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, or other applicable category) and any other examination-related details that may be relevant to your admission. This information directly determines which colleges and specialities you are eligible to apply for during counselling.
- Candidate name and roll number
- Application number
- NEET PG marks (raw score)
- Percentile score
- All India Rank (AIR)
- Qualifying status
- Category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.)

Why Your Scorecard Matters for PG Counselling
Your scorecard is not a document you download and file away — it is an active tool throughout your PG admission journey. During counselling registration, you will need to provide your marks, percentile, and rank as they appear on your scorecard. Medical colleges will verify these details against the official NBEMS records to confirm your eligibility for their seats.
Your All India Rank determines your position in the merit list and influences which colleges and specialities you can choose during seat allocation. Your percentile helps counselling authorities place you in the correct bracket for your category. Without an accurate, verified scorecard, you cannot proceed through counselling. Colleges may also request your scorecard during document verification after seat allotment to confirm that the information you provided during registration is genuine.
- Required for counselling registration and verification
- Determines your merit position and seat eligibility
- Needed during document verification at colleges
- Proof of qualifying status for admission
- Used to confirm category and rank for seat allocation
If You Have Forgotten Your Login Password
If you cannot remember the password you created during the NEET PG application process, do not attempt to use third-party websites or unofficial recovery tools. The NBEMS portal provides a secure password recovery option directly on nbe.edu.in. Use this official feature to reset your password and regain access to your scorecard.
Password recovery through the official portal ensures your account remains secure and your personal information is protected. Once you have reset your password, log in and download your scorecard immediately. Store your new credentials in a safe place so you have them available for future counselling-related logins and document submissions.
- Use the official password recovery option on nbe.edu.in
- Do not use third-party websites for password reset
- Verify your identity through the official recovery process
- Save your new credentials securely after reset
Verifying Your Scorecard Details Before Counselling
Once you have downloaded your scorecard, take time to carefully review every detail. Check that your name, roll number, and application number are spelled correctly and match your original application. Verify that your marks, percentile, and rank are displayed accurately. Confirm that your category is recorded as you submitted it and that your qualifying status shows you have passed the examination.

If you notice any discrepancy or error on your scorecard — such as a misspelled name, incorrect marks, or wrong category — contact NBEMS immediately through the official portal or support channels. Do not assume errors will be corrected automatically. Errors on your scorecard can delay or complicate your counselling process, so it is essential to flag and resolve them before counselling begins. Keep a record of any communication with NBEMS regarding scorecard corrections.
- Check name, roll number, and application number for accuracy
- Verify marks, percentile, and All India Rank
- Confirm your category is correct
- Ensure qualifying status shows you have passed
- Report any errors to NBEMS immediately
- Keep records of all communications about corrections
Keeping Your Scorecard Safe for Future Use
Your scorecard is a document you will need multiple times — during counselling registration, seat allotment, document verification, and potentially during college admission formalities. Store your digital copy in a secure location on your computer or cloud storage, and keep your printed copy in a safe folder. Do not share your scorecard or login credentials with anyone, including unofficial counselling agents or unverified websites.
Many candidates lose or misplace their scorecards during the counselling process. Having both a digital and printed backup ensures you always have access. If you lose your digital copy, you can download it again from nbe.edu.in using your credentials. However, if you lose your login credentials, the recovery process may take time. Protect your scorecard as you would any important academic or legal document.
- Save digital copy to secure cloud storage
- Keep printed copy in a safe, organized folder
- Do not share scorecard or credentials with anyone
- Maintain backup copies in multiple locations
- Treat it as a critical document throughout counselling
What Comes Next: Counselling Schedule and Seat Allocation
The release of scorecards marks a major milestone, but it is not the end of the admission process. NBEMS will announce the counselling schedule separately, which will include dates for registration, choice filling, choice locking, and seat allotment. You must have your scorecard ready before counselling registration opens, as you will need to enter your marks and rank during the registration process.
Keep checking the official NBEMS website regularly for announcements about counselling dates, the seat matrix (number of seats available in each college and speciality), and the documents you will need to bring for verification. Your scorecard, along with your MBBS degree certificate, identity proof, and category certificate (if applicable), will be essential during the entire counselling and admission process. Start preparing your documents now so you are ready when counselling begins.
