NBEMS made the answer key and scorecard available starting October 1, 2026, on the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in. Each candidate receives a personalised answer key tied to their unique question paper set, since the exam uses randomised question sequences and shuffled answer options across different test-takers.
You must log in using your individual applicant credentials to view your answer key. This personalised approach ensures that your answer key reflects the exact questions and options you encountered during the exam, not a generic version. The login-based system also maintains the integrity of the evaluation process.
What Information Does Your NEET-PG Scorecard Show?
Your downloaded scorecard contains five key pieces of information for each question you attempted. First, it displays the section-wise question IDs in the sequence you saw them, allowing you to cross-reference your performance by topic. Second, it shows whether you answered, left blank, or did not attempt each question.
Third, the scorecard reveals the correct answer key ID (numbered 1, 2, 3, or 4) for each question in your specific paper set. Fourth, it displays the exact response you marked during the exam. Finally, it shows the score awarded for each question—either +4 for a correct answer, −1 for an incorrect answer, or 0 for an unattempted question—according to the official marking scheme.
- Section-wise question IDs in your test sequence
- Your attempt status (Answered / Not Attempted) for each question
- Correct answer key ID for each question
- Your marked response for each question
- Score awarded per question (+4, −1, or 0)

Why Question Sequences Differ Across Candidates
NEET-PG uses a randomised test design: the order of questions within each section is shuffled, and the order of answer options for each question is also shuffled across different candidates. This means your question ID sequence will not match another candidate's sequence, and the correct answer key ID for a given question may differ between papers.
When you review your scorecard, do not compare your answer key directly with a friend's or with any generic answer key circulating online. Your scorecard is specific to your paper set. This design prevents cheating and ensures fairness, but it requires you to interpret your own scorecard carefully without relying on external answer keys.

The 6-Month Validity Window: Why You Must Act Now
Your scorecard is available for download only for six months from October 1, 2026. After that period, NBEMS will remove it from the portal. If you do not download and save your scorecard within this window, you will lose access to it permanently. This is a hard deadline, not a soft recommendation.

For NEET-PG aspirants, this scorecard is critical documentation. You will need it during counselling registration, for college admissions, and potentially for appeals or clarifications. Losing access could complicate your admission process or leave you without proof of your score. Download it today and store it securely—both digitally and in print.
Using Your Scorecard to Assess Your Performance
Once you have your scorecard, use it to conduct an honest performance review. Calculate your total score by summing the individual question scores. Identify which sections or topics yielded the most correct answers and which caused the most errors. This analysis will help you understand your strengths and weaknesses.
Compare your total score against the expected NEET-PG 2026 cutoff for your category (General, OBC, SC, ST) and your target speciality. Cutoffs vary by speciality and state; use this scorecard data to estimate your likely rank and counselling eligibility. If your score falls short of your target, this information will guide your counselling strategy or inform your decision to attempt the exam again.
What Happens After You Download Your Scorecard
After downloading your scorecard, the next step depends on your performance and goals. If your score is competitive, begin preparing for counselling by researching colleges, specialities, and state-wise seat availability. If your score is borderline, clarify the exact cutoff for your target speciality and category to assess your chances.
If you believe there is an error in your scorecard—such as an incorrect marking or a technical issue—contact NBEMS through the official website. However, note that NBEMS typically does not entertain challenges to the answer key after it is released; the answer key is final. Your scorecard is your official record for counselling and admission purposes.
