The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is set to release the NEET-PG 2026 provisional answer key and candidate response sheet on its official portal, natboard.edu.in. The exam was held on 30 August 2026, and — for the first time, following Supreme Court directions on transparency — NBEMS will show each candidate their recorded responses alongside the correct answers, so you can calculate an indicative score and challenge any question you disagree with. This is the broad-speciality NEET-PG exam (the gateway to MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB seats), not the NEET-SS super-speciality test.

What exactly will NBEMS release?

Two things go live together in the candidate login: the provisional answer key (NBEMS's tentative list of correct answers) and your own response sheet (the options you actually marked, with question IDs). Placing both side by side lets you tally an indicative score and, crucially, flag any question you want to contest. The key is provisional — after the objection window closes and challenges are reviewed, NBEMS publishes the final answer key, and the result follows.

How to download and raise objections

  • Go to natboard.edu.in and open the NEET-PG 2026 candidate login.
  • Sign in with your application number and password to download your response sheet and the provisional answer key.
  • Compare your marked responses against the provisional key, question by question, and note any you disagree with.
  • To challenge a question, submit your objection within the stipulated window and pay the per-question fee exactly as specified in the NBEMS notice.
  • Keep proof of your submission, then wait for the final answer key and the result (expected by 30 September 2026).

Treat exact dates and the fee as provisional until NBEMS confirms them. Rely only on the official notice at natboard.edu.in — not on forwards or unofficial links — for the release date, objection deadline and result.

What will NBEMS release for NEET-PG 2026?

The provisional answer key and each candidate's individual response sheet, both available in the candidate login at natboard.edu.in.

What is new about the NEET-PG 2026 answer key?

For the first time, following Supreme Court directions, NBEMS is showing candidates their own recorded responses alongside the correct answers, so you can verify your score and raise objections.

When will the answer key and result come out?

The provisional answer key and response sheet are expected in September 2026, and the NEET-PG 2026 result is expected by 30 September 2026. Confirm exact dates on natboard.edu.in.

Can I challenge an answer, and is there a fee?

Yes. You can raise objections within the stipulated window, usually with a per-question fee. The exact deadline and fee are stated in the NBEMS official notice.

Does this cover NEET-SS, DM or MCh?

No. This is broad-speciality NEET-PG (MD / MS / PG Diploma / DNB), not the super-speciality NEET-SS exam.
