The Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has released the provisional SC (Scheduled Caste) merit list for MD, MS, and Diploma courses for the 2026–27 academic year. This list contains 382 SC candidates ranked by their NEET PG 2026 scores and all-India overall rank. The merit list is provisional—your SC category claim is subject to final verification by the Gujarat State Competent Authority. This is a critical document: it shows your position in the merit queue, the college you may be allocated to, and whether you are eligible for general seats, NRI seats, or reserved seats only.

Check your name and rank immediately in this provisional SC merit list; your category claim must be verified by the Competent Authority before seat allotment, and the SC cutoff score is 226.

What This Merit List Is

This is the provisional SC merit list for NEET PG 2026 postgraduate medical courses (MD, MS, and Diploma) in Gujarat. It ranks 382 SC candidates by their NEET PG score and all-India overall rank. The list was released on 22 October 2026.

The word 'provisional' is important: your inclusion on this list does not guarantee a seat. Your claim to SC category status must be verified and finalized by the Gujarat State Competent Authority before counselling proceeds. If your category claim is rejected, you will be moved to the general merit list or removed entirely.

This list is used for the first round of counselling and seat allocation. Candidates are ranked by their NEET PG score (highest first), and seats are offered in order of merit, subject to availability and your choices.

How to Find Your Name and Rank

The merit list is organized by SC category rank (SC-001, SC-002, etc.). Each row shows: your User ID, Roll Number, General Merit rank, Category Merit rank, University code, University Category Merit rank, All India Overall Rank, NEET PG score, and name.

To find yourself: (1) Search for your Roll Number or User ID in the list. (2) Note your SC category rank (e.g., SC-001, SC-050). (3) Check your NEET PG score and all-India overall rank. (4) Verify the college name and university code shown against your name.

If you do not find your name, it means either you did not qualify for the SC merit list (your score is below the cutoff), or there is an error in your application data. Contact ACPPGMEC immediately if you believe you should be on the list.

SC Cutoff Score and Eligibility

The SC cutoff score for NEET PG 2026 MD/MS/Diploma courses in Gujarat is 226. This means you must have scored at least 226 marks in NEET PG to appear on the SC merit list. For comparison, the General/EWS cutoff is 262, and the PwD cutoff is 244.

If your NEET PG score is 226 or above and you have a valid SC certificate, you are eligible for the SC merit list. However, your category claim is subject to verification by the Competent Authority—see the section below on category verification.

Candidates with lower scores may still appear on the list if they have been provisionally included pending verification. The remark column (marked '-1' or '-1-5') indicates the status of your category claim.

  • SC cutoff: 226 marks
  • General/EWS cutoff: 262 marks
  • PwD cutoff: 244 marks
  • Your score must meet or exceed the SC cutoff to be eligible

Understanding the Remark Column

The 'Remark' column on the right of each row shows the status of your category claim and eligibility. Most entries show '-1', which means your SC category claim is provisional and subject to verification by the Competent Authority. Some entries show '-1-5', which indicates additional conditions or a lower priority status.

⚠️ CRITICAL: A remark of '-1' does NOT mean your category is confirmed. It means your claim is under review. If the Competent Authority rejects your SC certificate or finds it invalid, you will be removed from this list or moved to the general merit list.

If your remark shows a note like 'Eligible for Only NRI Seats' or 'Eligible for NRI + GQ + MQ Seats', it means you have restrictions on which seats you can be offered. Read the notes at the top of the list carefully.

  • '-1' = provisional SC category claim, subject to verification
  • '-1-5' = provisional claim with lower priority or additional conditions
  • Notes at the top explain special eligibility (NRI-only, etc.)

Category Verification: What You Must Do

Your SC category claim is NOT final. Before you are offered a seat, the Gujarat State Competent Authority must verify and finalize your SC certificate. This is a mandatory step. If your certificate is found to be invalid, forged, or does not meet the legal definition of SC, you will lose your reserved seat eligibility.

You must ensure that: (1) Your SC certificate is issued by the correct authority (District Magistrate, Collector, or equivalent). (2) The certificate shows your name, date of birth, and caste clearly. (3) The certificate is not expired or cancelled. (4) Your name and details match exactly with your NEET PG application.

If you have any doubt about your certificate, contact the issuing authority or ACPPGMEC immediately. Do not wait until counselling. Submitting a false or invalid certificate is a criminal offence and will result in cancellation of your admission and legal action.

  • Your SC category claim is provisional and subject to verification
  • Verification is done by the Gujarat State Competent Authority
  • Your SC certificate must be valid, issued by the correct authority, and match your application details
  • If your certificate is rejected, you will be removed from the SC list or moved to general merit
  • Submit your original certificate during counselling for verification

College Allocation and University Codes

The 'Pass Institute Name' column shows the college you are likely to be allocated to based on your rank and merit. However, this is NOT a confirmed allocation—it is an estimate based on current seat availability and the choices you make during counselling.

Each college is identified by a university code (e.g., GU = Gujarat University, MS = M.S. University Baroda, NG = Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, SGU = Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, BK = Bhaikaka University / Sardar Patel University Karamsad Anand, SU = Saurashtra University, BU = M.K. Bhavnagar University, KU = KSKV Kachchh University, DD = DDU University Nadiad, PU = Parul University, BKN = Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, SGG = Shri Govind Guru University, SPU = Sankalchand Patel University Visnagar, AIM = AIIMS Rajkot, OU = Other/Abroad).

Your actual college allocation depends on: (1) Your rank and merit. (2) The choices you submit during counselling. (3) Seat availability in each college and course. (4) Quota rules (general, reserved, NRI, etc.). Do not assume you will get the college shown—use it as a guide only.

  • College shown is an estimate based on current merit and availability
  • Your actual allocation depends on your counselling choices and seat availability
  • University codes identify the affiliating university, not the college location
  • Check the full list of participating colleges and their seat matrix before counselling

NRI Eligibility and Quota Restrictions

Some candidates on this list are marked as eligible for NRI seats only, or for NRI + GQ (Gujarat Quota) + MQ (Minority Quota) seats. This means they cannot be offered general or reserved seats; they can only be allocated to seats reserved for Non-Resident Indians or other special quotas.

If your remark shows 'Eligible for Only NRI Seats', you can ONLY be offered an NRI seat. If it shows 'Eligible for NRI + GQ + MQ Seats', you can be offered an NRI seat, a Gujarat Quota seat, or a Minority Quota seat, but not a general or reserved seat.

Check the notes at the top of the merit list to see which candidates have these restrictions. If you are unsure whether you have a restriction, contact ACPPGMEC before counselling.

  • Some candidates are eligible for NRI seats only
  • Others are eligible for NRI + GQ + MQ seats
  • Check the remark column and notes for your eligibility
  • NRI seats may have different fees and eligibility rules

PwD (Persons with Disability) Candidates

If you are a PwD candidate, you are marked in the remark column. PwD candidates have a separate cutoff score of 244 (lower than the general cutoff of 262). You are eligible for both general seats and PwD-reserved seats, depending on your rank and the choices you make.

  • PwD candidates are marked in the remark column
  • You are eligible for both general and PwD-reserved seats
  • Bring your disability certificate during counselling

What Happens Next: Counselling and Seat Allotment

This provisional merit list is the first step. The next steps are: (1) Category verification by the Competent Authority. (2) Counselling registration (you will be notified of dates). (3) Choice filling (you select colleges and courses in order of preference). (4) Seat allotment (ACPPGMEC allocates seats based on merit, choices, and availability). (5) Joining (you report to your allocated college).

You will receive a separate notification with counselling dates, registration instructions, and the list of available seats. Do not miss any deadline. If you do not register or fill choices, you will not be allocated a seat.

Keep your NEET PG admit card, SC certificate, and all other documents ready. You will need to submit them during counselling and at the college.

  • Category verification happens first
  • Counselling registration will be notified separately
  • You must fill your choice of colleges and courses
  • Seats are allocated based on merit, choices, and availability
  • You must join your allocated college by the deadline

Important Warnings and Traps

⚠️ TRAP 1: Do not assume your SC category is confirmed. The remark '-1' means provisional. If your certificate is rejected during verification, you lose your seat. Ensure your certificate is valid NOW, not later.

⚠️ TRAP 2: The college shown on this list is NOT your confirmed allocation. It is an estimate. Your actual college depends on your counselling choices and seat availability. Many candidates miss this and are disappointed.

⚠️ TRAP 3: If you have an NRI restriction, you CANNOT be offered a general or reserved seat, even if your rank is high. Check your eligibility carefully.

⚠️ TRAP 4: This is a provisional list. ACPPGMEC may release corrections or updates. Check the official website regularly for any amendments or corrections to this list.

⚠️ TRAP 5: Missing a counselling deadline (registration, choice filling, joining) will result in loss of your seat. Mark all dates on your calendar and set reminders.

  • SC category claim is provisional—verify your certificate NOW
  • College shown is an estimate, not a confirmed allocation
  • Check for NRI or other eligibility restrictions
  • Watch for corrections or updates to this list
  • Do not miss any counselling deadline

How to Use This List for Planning

Use this merit list to estimate your chances of getting a seat in your preferred college and course. Find your rank, note the college shown, and check the seat matrix (which will be released separately) to see how many SC seats are available in that college and course.

If the college shown is not your preference, use the merit list to identify colleges where your rank might be competitive. For example, if you are ranked SC-150, look at the colleges shown for ranks around SC-140 to SC-160 to get an idea of which colleges are in your range.

Remember: your actual allocation depends on your choices. If you do not select a college in your counselling form, you will not be offered a seat there, even if your rank is competitive.

  • Find your rank and note the college shown
  • Check the seat matrix for SC seats in that college
  • Look at colleges shown for ranks near yours to estimate your range
  • Your actual allocation depends on your counselling choices
  • Select colleges strategically during choice filling

Frequently asked questions

I am on the SC merit list. Does this mean I will definitely get a seat?

No. Being on the provisional merit list means you are eligible to participate in counselling, but a seat is not guaranteed. Your SC category claim must be verified by the Competent Authority. If your certificate is rejected, you will be removed from the list. Even if your category is verified, your actual seat allocation depends on your rank, your counselling choices, and seat availability in each college.

What does the remark '-1' mean?

The remark '-1' means your SC category claim is provisional and subject to verification by the Gujarat State Competent Authority. It does NOT mean your category is confirmed. You must submit your original SC certificate during counselling for final verification. If the certificate is found to be invalid, you will lose your reserved seat eligibility.

I am marked as 'Eligible for Only NRI Seats'. What does this mean?

It means you can ONLY be offered seats reserved for Non-Resident Indians. You cannot be offered general or reserved (SC/ST/OBC) seats, even if your rank is high. This restriction may apply if you are an NRI or if there is a specific eligibility condition. Check the notes at the top of the merit list or contact ACPPGMEC for clarification.

The college shown on the merit list is not my preference. Can I get a different college?

Yes. The college shown is an estimate based on your current rank and merit. Your actual college allocation depends on the choices you submit during counselling. If you select a different college in your choice form and your rank is competitive for that college, you may be allocated there instead. However, if your rank is not competitive for your preferred college, you will be allocated to a college where your rank qualifies.

What if I cannot find my name on the merit list?

If you cannot find your name, it means either: (1) Your NEET PG score is below the SC cutoff of 226. (2) Your SC category claim was rejected during initial screening. (3) There is an error in your application data. Contact ACPPGMEC immediately with your Roll Number and User ID to clarify your status.

When will counselling start? What are the dates?

This merit list does not include counselling dates. ACPPGMEC will release a separate notification with counselling schedule, registration dates, choice-filling dates, and seat allotment dates. Check the official website (medadmgujarat.ncode.in) regularly for these announcements. Do not miss any deadline.

I have an SC certificate, but I am worried it might be rejected. What should I do?

Check your SC certificate NOW to ensure: (1) It is issued by the correct authority (District Magistrate, Collector, or equivalent). (2) Your name, date of birth, and caste are clearly shown. (3) It is not expired or cancelled. (4) Your details match your NEET PG application exactly. If you have any doubt, contact the issuing authority or ACPPGMEC before counselling. Do not wait until verification.

What is the difference between 'All India Overall Rank' and 'Category Merit Rank'?

Your 'All India Overall Rank' is your position among ALL candidates who took NEET PG 2026 (General, SC, ST, OBC, PwD, etc.). Your 'Category Merit Rank' (e.g., SC-001, SC-050) is your position among SC candidates only. For seat allocation in SC-reserved seats, your Category Merit Rank is used. Your All India Overall Rank is used for general seat allocation if you are not allocated an SC-reserved seat.

I am a PwD candidate with an SC certificate. Which seats am I eligible for?

You are eligible for SC-reserved seats (as an SC candidate) and PwD-reserved seats (as a PwD candidate). During counselling, you will be considered for SC-reserved seats first based on your SC merit rank. If you are not allocated an SC seat, you may be considered for PwD-reserved seats. Bring both your SC certificate and disability certificate during counselling.

Can this merit list change? Will there be corrections?

Yes. This is a provisional list. ACPPGMEC may release corrections, amendments, or updates if errors are found. Check the official website regularly for any notifications. If you find an error in your entry (wrong name, wrong score, wrong college), contact ACPPGMEC immediately with proof.

What happens if I do not register for counselling or do not fill my choices?

If you do not register for counselling or do not fill your choices by the deadline, you will NOT be allocated a seat. Your merit list position will be forfeited. You must actively participate in counselling to get a seat. Mark all counselling dates on your calendar and do not miss any deadline.

Is the college shown on this list my confirmed allocation?

No. The college shown is an estimate based on your current rank and merit. Your actual allocation depends on: (1) Your rank. (2) The colleges and courses you select during counselling. (3) Seat availability in each college. (4) Quota rules. Do not assume you will get the college shown. Use it as a guide to estimate your chances.

This provisional SC merit list is your first official confirmation of eligibility for NEET PG 2026 counselling in Gujarat. Verify your name, rank, and college immediately. Most importantly, ensure your SC certificate is valid and ready for verification—this is the single biggest risk to your seat. Watch the official ACPPGMEC website (medadmgujarat.ncode.in) for counselling dates, registration instructions, and any corrections to this list. Do not miss any deadline. If you have questions or find errors, contact ACPPGMEC without delay.
