ACPUGMEC — the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses, which runs MBBS and BDS admissions in Gujarat — has published the complete online registration procedure for NEET UG 2026-27 candidates. This is not a result or a merit list; it is a how-to guide explaining every step a candidate must complete to register on the medadmgujarat.org / medadmgujarat.ncode.in portal, from buying an e-PIN to uploading documents and visiting a Help Center in person. The notice also spells out exactly which categories of NEET UG-qualified students are allowed to register for Gujarat's MBBS/BDS admission process. Getting any step wrong — especially the mandatory in-person verification — can knock a candidate out of the entire admission process, so this article walks through it in full.
Every NEET UG 2026-qualified candidate eligible for Gujarat's MBBS/BDS admission must buy an Rs.11,000 e-PIN, complete the online registration form with document uploads, and then compulsorily visit an ACPUGMEC Help Center in person with original documents to collect a signed Registration Slip — skipping this last step means the candidature will not be considered for further admission.
Who can register through ACPUGMEC
The primary eligible group is straightforward: students from Gujarat Board, CBSE, ISCE, Cambridge University or NIOS who have qualified NEET-UG in the current academic year, passed both SSC (Std. 10) and HSC (Std. 12, Science with Biology/PCB group) from Gujarat State, and are either born in Gujarat or hold Gujarat domicile — provided they otherwise meet Gujarat's admission eligibility rules.
Beyond this main group, the notice lists several additional categories of students who can also take part in Gujarat's admission process, even if they studied or currently live outside Gujarat.
- Sons/daughters of All India Service officers (IAS, IPS, IFS) who are allotted to Gujarat cadre but are currently serving outside Gujarat on deputation.
- Sons/daughters of Gujarat Government employees who are posted outside Gujarat for administrative reasons.
- Sons/daughters of defense or paramilitary personnel who are domiciled in Gujarat but are currently serving outside the state.
- Students who studied under the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya scheme up to Std. 8 in a school located in Gujarat, then continued the scheme in a school outside Gujarat, passed their qualifying exam from a Navodaya Vidyalaya outside Gujarat, and have qualified NEET in the current year with the required HSC PCB (theory + practical) marks.
- A candidate who is themselves an NRI, or the child/ward of an NRI, who completed Std. 12 (Science with PCB) from a school in India or abroad, has qualified the current year's NEET, and meets the criteria set by the competent authority.
- Students who passed Std. 10 and Std. 12 from the Gujarat Board affiliated to the Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and are either born in Gujarat or hold Gujarat domicile.
Step 1: Buy the online e-PIN
Registration cannot begin without an e-PIN. Candidates must go to the ACPUGMEC website (https://medadmgujarat.org/), click 'Medical & Dental' under Undergraduate Admission, and then click 'Login for UG (MBBS & BDS) Admission' to reach the registration portal.
On the portal, use the 'Buy PIN' option and pay a total of Rs. 11,000 online — this is made up of Rs. 1,000 as a non-refundable registration fee and Rs. 10,000 as a refundable security deposit. To generate the PIN, you must enter your NEET 2026 roll number, candidate name, email address and mobile number, along with the captcha shown on screen, and complete the payment.
After successful payment, you receive a 5-digit PIN serial number and a 14-digit PIN — usually sent to your registered mobile/email. These two numbers, along with your login password, are what you will need for every future login, so save them carefully.
| Component | Amount | Nature |
|---|---|---|
| Registration fee | Rs. 1,000 | Non-refundable |
| Security deposit | Rs. 10,000 | Refundable |
| Total to be paid while buying e-PIN | Rs. 11,000 | — |
Step 2: Fill the online registration form
After buying the PIN, click 'Candidate Registration/Login' and then 'Click Here for New Registration'. Enter your 5-digit PIN serial number, 14-digit PIN, email address, mobile number, NEET roll number and the captcha code, then submit.
This opens the 'Online Registration Form', where you must fill in personal details (name, parents' names, category, gender, date of birth), whether you want to apply under NRI quota, PwD (Persons with Disability) quota, or Local quota, contact and address details, domicile status, and your Std. 10 (SSC) and Std. 12 (HSC) exam board, school location, seat number, and subject-wise marks (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology — theory and practical separately).
You will also set a login password of 6 to 12 alphanumeric characters, which along with your PIN serial number and 14-digit PIN, becomes your permanent login credential for the portal.
Two details deserve special attention because they are easy to get wrong:
- SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Class) candidates must enter the exact date of issuance of their non-creamy-layer certificate, and this certificate must be issued by a competent authority of the Government of Gujarat — a certificate from another state or an expired non-creamy-layer status will cause problems.
- If you select a birth place other than Gujarat, the form will additionally ask for full Domicile Certificate details (issuing authority, district, taluka, certificate number and date) — so keep this certificate ready in advance if you were born outside Gujarat.
Documents you must upload online
Once the form details are filled, you must upload scanned copies of specific documents in .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg or .png format, each file up to 2MB. Uploading is mandatory for registration to be considered complete.
- 10th Standard (SSC) Marksheet
- 12th Standard (HSC) Marksheet — if you have appeared for HSC more than once, merge all attempt marksheets into a single PDF before uploading
- NEET UG 2026 Marksheet
- School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate (compulsory), along with your Birth Certificate or Passport if your birthplace is not mentioned on the School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate — these two must be merged into one PDF if needed
- Physical Fitness Certificate
Step 3: Confirm registration — no changes allowed after this
After uploading documents, use 'Edit/Confirm Application' to review every detail you entered. You can still make corrections at this stage. Once you are satisfied everything is accurate, click 'Confirm Registration Details' — after this point, the portal does not allow any further changes to your registration.
Before this final confirmation, when you first submit the form, an OTP is sent to your registered mobile number; entering the OTP and clicking 'Save Changes' completes the initial data-saving step, and only after that can you proceed to document upload and final confirmation.
Read the declaration carefully before ticking 'I Agree' — it states that all information given is true, that you accept ACPUGMEC's rules and the fee decided by the Fee Regulatory Committee, and that ragging is banned and punishable.
The step candidates must not skip: Help Center document verification
Completing the online form is not the end of registration. Every candidate must take a prior appointment for Document Verification, choosing a date, time slot and Help Center through the 'Appointment for Document Verification' option in their account.
Take two printed copies of your 'Registration Details' page. Attach self-attested photocopies of all the documents listed at the end of that printout. Both the candidate and a parent/guardian must sign the Registration Details form in the space provided — an unsigned form will not be accepted.
At the appointed Help Center, an officer will verify your Registration Details and self-attested photocopies against your original documents, retain one set along with the Registration Slip copy, and return you a signed and sealed Registration Slip.
This in-person verification and the Registration Slip are compulsory. The notice explicitly warns that without visiting the Help Center and obtaining this acknowledgment, a candidate's application will not be considered for further stages of the admission process — no matter how correctly the online form was filled.
Special rules: PwD candidates and lost PIN
Candidates applying under the PwD (Persons with Disability) quota have an extra requirement: they must personally appear for a disability examination before ACPUGMEC's own Medical Board. Eligibility for PwD quota will be decided only on the basis of the Disability Certificate issued by this ACPUGMEC Medical Board — a PwD certificate issued by any other hospital or authority will not be accepted.
On PIN and password security, the notice warns candidates never to share their purchased PIN or password with anyone. If a PIN is lost, it can only be regenerated by visiting a nearby Help Center or the CCR (Central Control Room) at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, in person, and paying a processing fee decided by ACPUGMEC.

How much does registration cost and is any part of it refundable?
The total payment while buying the e-PIN is Rs. 11,000 — Rs. 1,000 is a non-refundable registration fee and Rs. 10,000 is a refundable security deposit.
Can only Gujarat Board students register with ACPUGMEC?
No. Besides Gujarat Board/CBSE/ISCE/Cambridge/NIOS students who did SSC and HSC from Gujarat and hold Gujarat domicile, several other categories can register too — children of All India Service officers, Gujarat government employees, and defense/paramilitary personnel posted outside Gujarat, Navodaya Vidyalaya scheme students, NRIs/children of NRIs, and students from Gujarat Board schools in Daman & Diu or Dadra & Nagar Haveli who are Gujarat-domiciled or born in Gujarat.
I was born outside Gujarat. What extra document will I need?
If you select a birth place other than Gujarat in the form, you must additionally provide full Domicile Certificate details — the issuing authority, district, taluka, certificate number and date — so keep this certificate ready before starting registration.
I am an SEBC candidate. What must I be careful about?
You must enter the exact date of issuance of your non-creamy-layer certificate in the form. This certificate must have been issued by a competent authority of the Government of Gujarat — make sure it is current and correctly issued, since this is a common cause of rejection.
Is the Help Center visit really compulsory even after I upload everything online?
Yes. The notice states clearly that visiting the Help Center, submitting the signed Registration Slip with self-attested document copies, and getting an acknowledgment receipt is mandatory. Without this, your candidature will not be considered for further admission.
What documents do I need to upload during online registration?
You need to upload: 10th Standard Marksheet, 12th Standard Marksheet (all attempts merged into one PDF if more than one), NEET UG 2026 Marksheet, School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate (with Birth Certificate/Passport merged in if birthplace isn't shown on it), and a Physical Fitness Certificate.
Can I edit my registration details after confirming them?
No. Once you click 'Confirm Registration Details' after reviewing the form, the portal does not allow any further changes.
What if I lose my PIN?
You must visit a nearby Help Center, or the CCR at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, in person and pay a processing fee decided by ACPUGMEC to have your PIN regenerated. It cannot be recovered online.
How is PwD eligibility decided for Gujarat's MBBS/BDS admission?
Only a Disability Certificate issued by ACPUGMEC's own Medical Board is accepted. PwD candidates must appear in person before this Medical Board for examination; certificates from any other hospital or authority will not be entertained.
If you are eligible for Gujarat's NEET UG 2026-27 MBBS/BDS admission process, start early: buy your e-PIN, keep your SSC/HSC marksheets, NEET marksheet, school leaving certificate, birth certificate/domicile papers and physical fitness certificate scanned and ready, and complete the online form carefully since it cannot be edited after confirmation. Most importantly, book your Help Center appointment promptly and carry original documents — this in-person step is compulsory and missing it can cost you your admission chance. Keep checking the ACPUGMEC website for the exact registration and counselling schedule dates.
