What a 'cutoff report' actually shows

In every round of counselling, once seats are allotted, the counselling authority publishes a cutoff report. It does not set a new cutoff before allotment — it simply tells you, after the fact, what rank range the last candidate who got a seat in each category actually had.

For each institute and category combination, the report gives a 'Min Rank' (the best/lowest rank that got in) and a 'Max Rank' (the worst/highest rank that still got a seat). If a category-college combination is blank in the report, no candidate from that category was allotted a seat there in Round 1 — it does not necessarily mean no seats exist; seats may open up in later rounds.

How to read your rank against this table

Remember: a lower NEET-UG rank is better. So 'Min Rank' in each row is the best-performing candidate who got that seat, and 'Max Rank' is the last (weakest) candidate who still made it in. If your rank in the relevant category falls between the Min and Max shown for a college, that is broadly where Round 1 admissions stood for that seat — it does not guarantee the same range will apply in Round 2, because seats vacated by upgrades or withdrawals change the pool.

Only compare your rank against the category you actually hold a valid certificate for. A General category candidate's rank cannot be compared to the OBC or SC row, and vice versa — categories run on separate seat pools.
