GGSIPU MBBS 2026 (Code 103): Registration, Document Upload & Choice-Filling Deadline Extended to 24 August — Round 1 Result on 25 August

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), which runs Delhi's 85% state-quota counselling for MBBS (Code 103), has extended a deadline that affects every NEET UG 2026-qualified candidate wanting an MBBS seat through this counselling. GGSIPU has also announced that Round 1 result is tentatively expected on 25 August 2026, in line with the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) revised national schedule.

What exactly has been extended

GGSIPU had earlier opened a window for NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates to register afresh (if not already registered), correct/edit their earlier entries, and mandatorily upload their educational testimonials (academic certificates), reserved category documents, and NEET UG 2026 score card, followed by filling of choices/preferences for seat allotment. That window's closing date has now been pushed forward.

This extension applies to MBBS admissions under Programme Code 103 for the Academic Session 2026-27, and covers two distinct groups of candidates with two distinct sets of tasks — explained below.

Who needs to do what — two separate tracks

The notice splits candidates into two categories depending on how far they had already progressed in the GGSIPU online counselling process. Read carefully to identify which one applies to you.

• Track 1 — Not yet registered / not paid fee / not uploaded score card: If you have NOT registered on the GGSIPU online counselling portal, or have NOT paid the counselling fee of Rs 2,500/-, or have NOT uploaded your NEET UG 2026 score card, you must complete registration, pay the Rs 2,500/- fee, and upload mandatory documents including the NEET UG 2026 score card.
• Track 2 — Already registered, paid, and uploaded: If you have already registered on the GGSIPU portal, paid the Rs 2,500/- fee, and uploaded your NEET UG 2026 score card, your remaining task is to fill your choices/preferences. This step is compulsory — without it, you cannot be considered for seat allotment even if everything else is complete.

Revised schedule

Both activities now run on the same start and closing dates, but note the closing times differ by a few minutes — pay attention to the exact cut-off for your track.

Why the Round 1 result date matters

GGSIPU says the tentative Round 1 result date of 25 August 2026 is set in accordance with the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) notification titled 'Revised AIQ and State Schedule for Round 1 of UG Counselling 2026', dated 19 August 2026. This means GGSIPU's own schedule for Delhi's state quota is being aligned with the national counselling calendar that also governs the All-India Quota (AIQ) round.

The notice states that the detailed procedure to be followed after the Round 1 result is declared will be notified separately by the University in due course. Candidates should watch for that follow-up notification rather than assuming the process — it has not yet been published.

What this notice does not change

This is only an extension notice. All other information, terms and conditions from the University's earlier notification No. 193/2026 dated 17 August 2026, and from the Admission Brochure 2026-27, continue to apply unchanged. That includes the full list of educational testimonials and reserved category documents required, the exact fee payment process, and general eligibility conditions.

Because this notice does not repeat that full document checklist, candidates who have not already reviewed notification 193/2026 or the Admission Brochure 2026-27 should do so before the deadline, so they know precisely which certificates and category documents to upload alongside their NEET UG 2026 score card.
