This notice sets out the exact schedule and requirements you must follow to secure your seat.

You have until 31 October 2026 (2:00 PM) to pay ₹96,000 and report to your allotted college; failure to do so will result in permanent loss of your seat with no refund.

What is the Stray Round and Why It Matters

The Stray Round is the final counselling round for MBBS seats at GGSIPU Delhi. It is held after all previous rounds of counselling are complete, to fill any remaining vacant seats. If you were not allotted a seat in earlier rounds but have now been allotted one in the Stray Round, this is your last opportunity to secure an MBBS seat under Delhi's state quota for the 2026-27 academic session.

Once you accept a seat in the Stray Round and complete the joining process, you cannot withdraw or resign from it. The university has explicitly stated that no representation for refund of fees will be entertained. This is a binding commitment, so ensure you are ready to join the college and pursue the MBBS programme before you proceed.

Important Dates: Your Timeline

The schedule is extremely tight. You have only two days from the declaration of the result to complete all required steps. The dates are fixed and non-negotiable; the university has directed all colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted Holidays as working days to ensure the schedule is met.

How to Check Your Result and Allotment

You must check your result through your personal account login on the GGSIPU online counselling portal. The university will NOT send personal intimation by email, SMS or post. It is your responsibility to log in and check whether you have been allotted a seat.

Once you confirm your allotment, you will need to print your Provisional Seat Allotment Letter. This letter is essential for reporting to the college. The option to print this letter will be available only for the Stray Round and only within the specified time window (after you pay the fee, until 31.10.2026 at 4:00 PM). After this round closes, you will not be able to print it again.

  • Log in to your account on the GGSIPU online counselling portal immediately after 30.10.2026
  • Check the allotment status in your account
  • If allotted, proceed to pay the part academic fee without delay

Payment of Part Academic Fee: ₹96,000

You must pay ₹96,000 as the part academic fee for the MBBS programme. This payment must be made through NET Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card only. The payment window opens immediately after the result is declared (30.10.2026) and closes at 2:00 PM on 31.10.2026. After 2:00 PM on 31.10.2026, the payment portal will close and you will not be able to pay.

This is a non-refundable payment. Once you pay, you are confirming your acceptance of the allotted seat. The university has made clear that no refund will be entertained under any circumstances, even if you later decide not to join or if you withdraw from the seat. Ensure you are certain about joining before you make this payment.

After you pay the part academic fee, you will be eligible to print your Provisional Seat Allotment Letter. You must then report to your allotted college with this letter and the necessary documents for verification.

  • Payment deadline: 31.10.2026 at 2:00 PM
  • This fee is non-refundable; no representation for refund will be entertained

Reporting to Your Allotted College: Documents Required

After paying the part academic fee, you must report to your allotted college on or before 31.10.2026 at 6:00 PM. Reporting is mandatory for seat confirmation. You must bring the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter (which you print after payment) and all original documents for verification.

The college will verify your documents to confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements for MBBS admission. This includes verification of your NEET UG 2026 score card, qualifying exam eligibility, reserved category certificate (if applicable), and any other documents required by the university. If any document is found to be missing or invalid, your admission may be cancelled.

The college will also submit your joined candidate details to the GGSIPU Admission Branch within two days of your reporting. If you do not report by the deadline, the college will not submit your details, and your admission will be automatically cancelled. The university will not entertain any representation or request to extend the reporting deadline.

  • Provisional Seat Allotment Letter (printed after payment)
  • NEET UG 2026 score card
  • Qualifying exam eligibility certificate (12th pass certificate or equivalent)
  • Reserved category certificate (if applicable — must show sub-group if required)
  • Any other documents as specified in the admission brochure or by the college
  • Original documents for verification; photocopies may also be required

Critical Trap: Category Certificate Requirements

If you have claimed a reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or any other category), you must bring the original category certificate issued by the competent authority. The certificate must be valid and must clearly show your category and, if applicable, the sub-group (e.g., OBC-NCL, OBC-Creamy Layer, etc.).

The university will verify your category eligibility at the college during document verification. If your certificate is invalid, expired, or does not match the category you claimed in your NEET application, your admission will be cancelled and you will lose your seat. There is no second chance. Ensure your category certificate is in order before you report to the college.

  • ⚠️ Category certificate must be original and issued by the competent authority
  • ⚠️ Certificate must clearly show your category and sub-group (if applicable)
  • ⚠️ Certificate must match the category you claimed in your NEET application
  • ⚠️ Invalid or expired certificates will result in automatic cancellation of admission

Joining the College: Mandatory Within Stipulated Time

After you report to the college and your documents are verified, you must join the college within the stipulated time mentioned in the counselling schedule. The exact joining date will be communicated to you by the college at the time of reporting. You must join on or before that date; if you do not, your admission will be automatically cancelled.

Joining means physically reporting to the college, completing any additional formalities (such as medical examination by the college's medical board), and beginning your MBBS programme. You cannot defer or postpone your joining without explicit permission from the university, and such permission is rarely granted.

Once you join, you are bound by all rules and regulations of the college and the university. You cannot withdraw or resign from your seat after joining. If you do, you will forfeit your entire deposit fee and will not be eligible for any refund.

  • You must join the college within the stipulated time communicated by the college
  • Joining is mandatory; failure to join will result in automatic cancellation of admission
  • Once you join, you cannot withdraw or resign; no refund will be entertained
  • You will be required to undergo medical examination by the college's medical board for NMC norms verification

Medical Examination and NMC Verification

After you join the college, you will be examined by a medical board at the college to verify that you meet the NMC (National Medical Commission) norms for medical fitness and eligibility for admission. This is a mandatory requirement for all MBBS students. The medical examination will assess your general health and fitness to pursue the MBBS programme.

What Happens After You Join: Provisional Admission Status

Your admission will remain provisional until it is regularized by the university. This means that even after you join the college and begin your studies, the university may still cancel your admission if it discovers that you do not meet the eligibility requirements or if there are any discrepancies in your documents or category claim.

The university has explicitly stated that provisional admission will NOT be done for any result awaited or compartment/supplementary cases. This means if you have any pending exam results or if you are awaiting a supplementary exam result, you are not eligible for admission in this round. You must have cleared all your qualifying exams before you can be admitted.

Once your admission is regularized by the university, you will receive formal confirmation. Until then, treat your admission as provisional and ensure all your documents are in order.

  • Admission is provisional until regularized by the university
  • University may cancel admission if eligibility is not confirmed
  • Provisional admission will NOT be done for any result awaited or compartment/supplementary cases
  • You must have cleared all qualifying exams before admission

You are not allowed to participate in any subsequent round of counselling after you have been allotted a seat in the Stray Round, even if you wish to. Your seat is locked, and you must join the allotted college.

The university has directed all colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted Holidays as working days during this counselling period. This means you cannot use a weekend or holiday as an excuse to miss the reporting deadline. All deadlines are absolute and will not be extended.
