Bihar's UGMAC (Undergraduate Medical Admission Counselling) board has issued a correction to the Round 3 counselling fee and security deposit amounts that candidates must pay during online application and choice filling. The original advertisement had typographical errors in the fee tables, and this corrigendum sets out the correct amounts for each category and college type. This is critical: if you pay the wrong amount or miss the deadline, your application will be rejected and you will not be eligible to participate in counselling. The corrected fees apply to all NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates applying for MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H., and B.F.Sc. seats in Bihar government and private colleges.
Pay the exact counselling fee and security deposit for your category and college type choice, or your application will be rejected and you cannot participate in counselling.

This is a correction notice, not a new announcement. The original Round 3 advertisement (dated 30 September 2026) contained errors in the fee tables — specifically in the column headings and some fee amounts. This corrigendum replaces those incorrect tables with the correct ones.
The key change is in Section 9(iv), which covers the payment of counselling fee and security deposit. If you have already read the original advertisement, you must now use the corrected fee amounts shown in this notice. Do not rely on any other source or the original advertisement.
Who Must Pay and When
Every NEET UG 2026 qualified candidate who wishes to participate in Round 3 online application and choice filling must pay both a counselling fee (non-refundable) and a security deposit (refundable). Payment is mandatory — without it, your application will be incomplete and rejected.
You must pay during the online registration and choice-filling window. The notice does not specify the exact dates for Round 3 application, but it refers to Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/09 dated 30.09.2026 for those dates. Check the BCECEB website (bceceboard.bihar.gov.in) for the Round 3 application schedule.
Counselling Fee: How Much You Pay by Category
The counselling fee is non-refundable and depends on your category (Unreserved/EWS/BC/EBC, or SC/ST/DQ) and the type of colleges you are applying to. If you are applying to government colleges only, you pay one amount; if you include private colleges, the amount changes.
For government medical, dental, veterinary, or fisheries colleges only: UR/EWS/BC/EBC candidates pay Rs. 1,200; SC/ST/DQ candidates pay Rs. 600. For private medical or dental colleges (whether alone or mixed with government colleges), all candidates pay Rs. 1,200 regardless of category. The table below shows every combination.
| College Type | UR/EWS/BC/EBC Category | SC/ST/DQ Category |
|---|---|---|
| Government Medical / Dental / Veterinary / Fisheries College | Rs. 1,200 | Rs. 600 |

Security Deposit: How Much You Pay by Category
The security deposit is refundable and is much larger than the counselling fee. It also depends on your category and the type of colleges you are applying to. Government colleges have lower deposits than private colleges. If you are applying to private medical colleges, the deposit is Rs. 2,00,000 for all candidates; for private dental colleges, it is Rs. 50,000.
For government medical, dental, veterinary, or fisheries colleges only: UR/EWS candidates pay Rs. 10,000; SC/ST/BC/EBC/DQ candidates pay Rs. 5,000. If you are applying to self-financed seats in B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.F.Sc. courses, you must pay an additional Rs. 50,000 security deposit on top of the government college deposit. The table below shows all combinations.
| College Type | UR/EWS Category | SC/ST/BC/EBC/DQ Category |
|---|---|---|
| Government Medical / Dental / Veterinary / Fisheries College | Rs. 10,000 | Rs. 5,000 |
| Private Medical College | Rs. 2,00,000 | Rs. 2,00,000 |
| Private Dental College | Rs. 50,000 | Rs. 50,000 |
| Both (Private Medical & Dental) Colleges | Rs. 2,00,000 | Rs. 2,00,000 |

| Both (Government Medical/Dental/Veterinary/Fisheries & Private Medical/Dental) Colleges | Rs. 2,00,000 | Rs. 2,00,000 |
| Government Veterinary / Fisheries Colleges | Rs. 10,000 | Rs. 5,000 |
How to Pay: Online Payment Only
You must pay both the counselling fee and security deposit online only. The accepted payment methods are: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. You cannot pay by cash, cheque, or demand draft.
When you pay online, you will be charged a processing fee in addition to the counselling fee and security deposit. This processing fee is set by the payment gateway (Billdesk or ICICI Bank) and is not part of the amounts shown in the tables above. Budget for this extra charge when making your payment.
- Payment methods: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI only
- Processing charge applies in addition to counselling fee and security deposit
- Payment must be completed during online registration and choice-filling window
- Counselling fee is non-refundable; security deposit is refundable
Critical Trap: Payment Failure and What to Do
If the amount is debited from your account but the payment transaction fails (e.g., the bank declines it, the gateway times out, or there is a technical error), you must immediately re-pay the full amount again. Do not assume the first attempt will be refunded automatically — you must ensure the payment goes through.
If your required counselling fee and security deposit do not appear in the BCECEB's account by the application deadline, your application form will remain incomplete and will be rejected. You will not be eligible to participate in counselling. A failed transaction will eventually be refunded to your account, but this can take time — do not wait for the refund before re-paying.
If you experience a payment failure, contact the payment gateway support immediately: (1) For Billdesk payments: bangalorepgsd@billdesk.com, or (2) For ICICI Bank payments: cmssupport@icici.bank.in. You can also call the BCECEB helpdesk at 0612-2220230 or email helpdesk.bceceboard@bihar.gov.in.
- Payment debited but transaction failed? You must re-pay immediately — do not wait for refund
- If payment does not reflect in BCECEB account by deadline, your application is rejected
- Contact Billdesk (bangalorepgsd@billdesk.com) or ICICI (cmssupport@icici.bank.in) for payment issues
- BCECEB helpdesk: 0612-2220230 or helpdesk.bceceboard@bihar.gov.in

What Happens After You Pay
After you click the 'Final Submit & Proceed to Payment' button on the online portal, the payment screen will appear with instructions. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the payment using your chosen method (card, net banking, or UPI).
Once payment is successful, your application is considered complete. You will then proceed to choice filling — selecting which colleges and courses you wish to be considered for. The security deposit you paid is held by the board and will be refunded after the counselling process is complete, provided you have fulfilled all obligations (such as joining a college if allotted).
Important: This Corrigendum Applies to Round 3 Only
This corrected fee structure applies specifically to Round 3 online application and choice filling. If you participated in earlier rounds (Round 1 or Round 2), those rounds had their own fee structures and deadlines, which are now closed.
All other terms and conditions of the original Round 3 advertisement (Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/09 dated 30.09.2026 and Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/11 dated 02.10.2026) remain unchanged. This corrigendum only corrects the fee tables.

If you are applying for self-financed seats in B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.F.Sc., note the special rule: you must pay an additional Rs. 50,000 security deposit beyond the government college deposit shown in the table.
- MBBS in government and private medical colleges
- BDS in government and private dental colleges
- B.V.Sc. & A.H. in government veterinary colleges
- B.F.Sc. in government fisheries colleges
- Self-financed seats in B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. require additional Rs. 50,000 deposit
