What is the Special Stray Round?

The Special Stray Round is the final counselling round conducted by Assam DME to fill any remaining vacant MBBS and BDS seats in government medical and dental colleges across Assam. This round is open to candidates who either did not participate in earlier rounds or were not allotted a seat previously.

The provisional selection list released in this notice contains the names of all candidates who have been selected in this round under the Assam State quota. The list is now available on the official DME Assam website (www.dme.assam.gov.in). Your selection is provisional—it becomes final only after you report to your college, submit all required documents, and pass medical fitness verification.

Critical Reporting Date: 31 December 2025

All provisionally selected candidates must report to the office of the Principal of their allotted college on **31 December 2025** for admission and document verification. This is a hard deadline. The notice explicitly states that if you fail to report on this date, your allotment will be cancelled immediately.

Do not delay or assume you can report later. Colleges will begin the admission process on this date, and any candidate not present will be treated as having declined the seat. Plan your travel and arrangements now to ensure you can reach your college by this date.

  • Report date: 31 December 2025 (mandatory)
  • Report to: Office of the Principal of your allotted college
  • Failure to report = automatic allotment cancellation

Documents You Must Bring (Complete List)

You must bring **all original documents** to your college on the reporting date. The notice specifies exactly which documents are required. Missing even one document can delay your admission or result in rejection. Below is the complete list—do not assume any document is optional.

The college will issue an acknowledgement receipt for each document you submit. Keep these receipts carefully, as they are proof of submission. If you were previously admitted in an earlier stray round and have now been allotted a different college, you must bring acknowledgement receipts or documentary proof from your previous college showing that you submitted certificates there.

  • Original NEET UG 2025 Admit Card
  • Original NEET UG 2025 Marks Sheet
  • Original Pass Certificate of HSLC (Class 10) or equivalent
  • Original Pass Certificate of HSSLC (Class 12) or equivalent
  • Original Caste Certificate (if applicable to your category)
  • Any other documents specified in the MBBS/BDS Admission Rule, 2017 (amended up to 2025)
  • Acknowledgement receipts from previous college (if you were admitted in an earlier round and are now allotted a new college)

Admission and Counselling Fees: ₹25,000 (Approximate)

You must bring **approximately ₹25,000** in admission and counselling fees at the time of reporting. This is a mandatory payment. The notice states the amount as 'approx. Rs. 25,000', so confirm the exact amount with your college before reporting, as there may be minor variations.

Bring this amount in cash or as per the payment method specified by your college. Do not assume you can pay later—payment is due on the day of reporting. If you cannot pay on the reporting date, your admission will not be processed.

  • Amount: Approximately ₹25,000 (confirm exact amount with your college)
  • Payment due: On the day of reporting (31 December 2025)
  • Payment method: Confirm with your college (cash, cheque, online transfer, etc.)

Eligibility and Admission Conditions

Your admission is **provisional** and subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria as per the MBBS/BDS Admission Rule, 2017 (amended up to 2025). This means the college will verify that you meet all requirements—NEET UG 2025 score, educational qualifications, age, category status, and any other rule—before confirming your admission.

The college will constitute a Scrutiny & Medical Board to verify your documents and assess your medical fitness. If any document is found to be false, fabricated, or if you have furnished false information during online selection or at admission, your admission is liable to be cancelled at any point in time, and criminal proceedings may be initiated against you under applicable law.

Your admission is also subject to satisfactory medical fitness at the time of reporting. You will undergo a medical examination by the college's medical board. If you are found to be medically unfit, your admission may be rejected.

  • Admission is provisional and subject to verification of all eligibility criteria
  • College will verify NEET UG 2025 score, educational qualifications, age, category, and other requirements
  • False or fabricated documents will result in cancellation and criminal proceedings
  • Medical fitness verification is mandatory; failure may result in rejection
  • Scrutiny & Medical Board will be constituted by the college

If You Were Admitted in an Earlier Stray Round and Now Allotted a New College

If you were admitted to a college in the earlier Stray Round and have now been allotted a different medical or dental college in this Special Stray Round, you must report to your **newly allotted college** with specific documentation.

You must bring acknowledgement receipts or documentary proof showing that you submitted your certificates and testimonials to your previous college. This proof is essential to confirm that you have already submitted your documents and to avoid duplication. The new college will need this evidence to process your transfer.

  • Report to the newly allotted college (not the previous one)
  • Bring acknowledgement receipts from the previous college
  • Bring documentary proof of certificate/testimonial submission to the previous college
  • The new college will verify this proof before finalizing your admission

Mandatory Agreement and 15-Day Submission Deadline

All candidates must enter into an agreement as per the admission rule in a prescribed format. This agreement is available on the DME Assam website (www.dme.assam.gov.in). You must download it, read it carefully, and bring it signed to your college on the reporting date.

After you are admitted, you must submit the signed agreement to the office of the Principal of your college **within 15 days from the date of your admission**. This is a mandatory requirement. Failure to submit the agreement within this period may result in penalties or cancellation of admission. Do not delay this submission.

  • Download the agreement format from www.dme.assam.gov.in
  • Read and understand the agreement before signing
  • Bring the signed agreement on the reporting date (31 December 2025)
  • Submit the signed agreement to the Principal's office within 15 days of admission
  • Failure to submit within 15 days may result in cancellation

Important Traps: What Will Get Your Application Rejected

⚠️ **Missing or incomplete documents**: If you do not bring all original documents listed above, your admission will be delayed or rejected. The college will not accept photocopies or incomplete sets. Bring every single document in original form.

⚠️ **Late reporting**: If you do not report on 31 December 2025, your allotment will be cancelled automatically. There is no grace period. Even if you report on 1 January 2026, it will be too late.

⚠️ **Insufficient fees**: If you do not bring the full ₹25,000 in admission and counselling fees on the reporting date, your admission will not be processed. Do not assume you can pay later.

⚠️ **False information or fabricated documents**: If any document is found to be false or if you have provided false information during online selection or at admission, your admission will be cancelled at any point in time, and you may face criminal prosecution. Be completely honest and truthful.

⚠️ **Medical fitness failure**: If you fail the medical fitness examination, your admission may be rejected. Ensure you are in good health and disclose any medical conditions to the medical board.
