The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has published the provisional select list of candidates for Round 3 of online counselling for vacant postgraduate seats in government medical colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati under the Assam State Quota for the 2025–26 academic session. All provisionally selected candidates are now required to report in person to their allotted college's principal's office on 18–19 February 2026 to complete admission formalities. This is a critical step—candidates must bring all original documents, pay the required fees, and comply with strict eligibility and documentation rules to secure their seat.
Selected candidates must report to their allotted college on 18–19 February 2026 with all original documents and admission fees, or their allotment will be cancelled.

This is the final admission notice after Round 3 of NEET-PG 2026 counselling for Assam state quota seats. If your name appears on the provisional select list published on the DME Assam website (www.dme.assam.gov.in), you have been allotted a postgraduate seat in one of Assam's government medical colleges or B.B.C.I., Guwahati.
Your allotment is provisional—it is not final until you report in person, submit all required original documents, pay the admission and counselling fees, and meet all eligibility criteria. The notice makes clear that admission is subject to fulfilment of all requisite eligibility criteria as per the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (as amended).
This is your only chance to secure this seat. If you do not report on the specified dates, your allotment will be cancelled automatically, and you will lose the seat.
Reporting Dates and Colleges
All provisionally selected candidates must report to the office of the Principal of their allotted college on 18–19 February 2026. These are the only two days you are permitted to report. After 19 February, the admission window closes and your allotment will be cancelled.
Your allotted college is listed in the provisional select list against your name. The list includes candidates allotted to the following government medical colleges: Assam Medical College (Dibrugarh), Gauhati Medical College (Guwahati), Silchar Medical College (Silchar), Jorhat Medical College (Jorhat), Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College (Barpeta), Tezpur Medical College (Tezpur), Lakhimpur Medical College (Lakhimpur), Diphu Medical College (Diphu), and Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (Guwahati).
Check the select list carefully to confirm your name, allotted specialty, and college. If there is any discrepancy, contact the DME office immediately before the reporting dates.

Fees are typically non-refundable once paid. Ensure you have the funds ready before you report on 18–19 February 2026.
Critical Rule: Re-allotted Candidates
If you were re-allotted a seat in Round 3 (meaning you were allotted a different college or specialty than in an earlier round), you must report to your newly allotted college with acknowledgement receipts or documentary proof that you have submitted your certificates and testimonials to the principal of your previous college.
This proof is essential. Without it, the new college may not admit you. If you were allotted a seat in an earlier round and then re-allotted in Round 3, contact your previous college immediately to obtain written confirmation that your documents have been received and are being held.
Candidates Who Took 50% All India Quota Seats
If you have already taken admission under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) in any medical college or institute, you must produce a copy of your resignation or surrender acceptance letter from that college or institute at the time of admission to the Assam state quota seat.
This is a mandatory requirement. Failure to produce this letter will result in rejection of your admission to the Assam state quota seat. If you have not yet formally resigned from your AIQ seat, do so immediately and obtain written confirmation from that college.
Provisional Admission and Eligibility Verification
Every kind of PG seat, one rank
See the real seats your NEET-PG rank can reach.
Your admission is provisional. This means that even after you report and submit documents, your admission remains subject to verification of all eligibility criteria. The college will constitute a Scrutiny and Medical Board to verify that you meet all the requirements laid out in the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (as amended).
If the board finds that you do not meet the eligibility criteria, your admission can be cancelled at any time, even after you have joined. Common reasons for rejection include: false information or false declarations in your application; missing or invalid certificates; ineligibility based on MBBS marks, NEET-PG score, or other criteria; or failure to meet category or quota requirements.
Registered Agreement on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper
Within 2 weeks of your admission, you must execute a duly registered agreement on a non-judicial stamp paper of the value of Rs. 100 (Rupees one hundred only). This agreement is required for all candidates, including those admitted under the State Health Services Quota.
This is a legal document that binds you to the terms and conditions of your admission and your postgraduate course. Failure to execute this agreement within the 2-week window may result in cancellation of your admission. Contact your college's administrative office to understand what this agreement entails and to arrange for its execution.
Penalties for False Information or Misconduct
If you furnish false information or make a false declaration in your application or at the time of admission, your admission is liable to be cancelled at any time. The notice explicitly states that proceedings will be drawn against such candidates under appropriate law, including professional conduct etiquette and ethics of the National Medical Commission's Regulation.
This is a serious matter. Do not attempt to misrepresent your qualifications, category, domicile, or any other information. Any discrepancy discovered later can result in cancellation of admission, legal action, and damage to your professional reputation.
