How to Exercise Web Options: Step-by-Step Process
Web option entry is done entirely online through the university portal. You will need your login credentials (registration number and password) to access the system. If you have forgotten your password, contact the help desk before the deadline.
The process is straightforward but requires careful attention. You must rank the colleges in order of your preference—your first choice should be the college you most want to join, your second choice the next preferred, and so on. The allotment algorithm will match you to the highest-ranked college for which you qualify based on merit and seat availability.
After you submit your options, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address. Enter this OTP to confirm your submission. Once confirmed, your options are final and cannot be changed. Print a copy of your saved options for your records.

Eligibility Rules by Seat Category: Who Can Apply Where?

**Competent Authority (Self-Financing) Seats in Government Medical Colleges:** These 270 seats are reserved for local candidates of Andhra Pradesh only. You must have AU (Andhra University) or SVU (Sri Venkateswara University) domicile to be eligible. These seats are in seven newly permitted government colleges: Eluru, Machilipatnam, Nandyal, Rajahmundry, Vizianagaram, Paderu, and Piduguralla.
**Management Quota Category B1 Seats in Private Colleges:** These 187 seats are open to candidates from all over India and Andhra Pradesh. There is no domicile restriction. B1 seats are filled first in each college based on merit and your ranked preferences.
**Management Quota Category B2 Seats in Private Colleges:** These 1,067 seats are reserved for Andhra Pradesh local candidates only (AU/SVU domicile required). B2 seats are filled only after all B1 seats in a college are exhausted.

University Fee and Tuition Fee: What You Must Pay

**University Fee:** This is a one-time fee paid online through the payment gateway (debit card, credit card, or internet banking) to download your allotment order. The amount depends on your seat category. Pay this fee immediately after receiving your allotment notification; you cannot download your allotment order without paying it.
**Tuition Fee:** This is the course fee charged by the college for the entire MBBS programme. You pay this directly to the college after reporting in person. Tuition Fee Structure for Government and Private Colleges
The tuition fee for government medical colleges is fixed by the Andhra Pradesh government. For private colleges, the fee is set by the university and is interim (subject to change). All fees are payable over 4.5 years of the MBBS course.
**Government Medical Colleges (Competent Authority Seats):** All seven new government colleges charge the same tuition fee: Rs. 12.00 lakhs per annum for self-financing seats and Rs. 20.00 lakhs per annum for NRI category seats. Phase-I counselling covers 28 colleges in total: 7 new government medical colleges and 21 private medical colleges (including 2 minority colleges). **Private Non-Minority Colleges (Management Quota):** Eighteen private colleges offer a total of 3,600 seats: 187 Category B1 seats (all-India), 1,067 Category B2 seats (local), and 546 Category C (NRI) seats. Colleges range from 50 to 250 intake capacity.

Critical Trap: Reporting Deadline and Automatic Cancellation
⚠️ **This is the most important rule to understand.** After you receive your allotment order, you must report to the allotted college in person before the date and time specified in the allotment order. If you do not report by this deadline, your admission will be **automatically cancelled**—no exceptions, no appeals.
Reporting means physically going to the college, meeting the Principal, submitting your allotment order and original certificates, and paying the tuition fee. You cannot report by email or phone. The allotment order will specify the exact date and time by which you must arrive at the college.
If you are allotted a seat but decide not to join, or if you miss the reporting deadline, you will lose that seat permanently. You will not be able to participate in Phase-II counselling for that seat. Plan your travel and logistics in advance so you can report on time.

What Happens After Phase-I: Phase-II and Stray Vacancy Rounds
Phase-I is only the first round of counselling. If you do not get a seat in Phase-I, or if you choose not to participate, you will have another chance in Phase-II counselling. Phase-II will include unfilled seats from Phase-I and seats vacated by candidates who did not report.
If you are allotted a seat in Phase-I but do not report, that seat becomes available for Phase-II. However, you will not be able to exercise options for that same seat again in Phase-II—it is lost to you permanently.
After Phase-II, a Stray Vacancy Round may be conducted for any remaining unfilled seats. In the stray vacancy round, non-Muslim minority candidates may be eligible for seats in private minority colleges if Muslim minority candidates are not available.

Important Rules and Restrictions You Must Know
The university has laid down several rules to ensure fair and transparent counselling. Violating these rules can result in cancellation of your admission or other penalties.
**Options are Final:** Once you submit your web options, they cannot be changed. No request for change of options or reordering of college priorities will be entertained after the deadline. Think carefully before submitting.
**One-Time Password Security:** The OTP sent to your mobile and email is confidential. Do not share it with anyone, including parents, friends, or counsellors. You are wholly responsible for any misuse of your login details or OTP. If someone else exercises options using your credentials, you cannot claim it was unauthorized.
**Withdrawal from Course:** If you join the course but later want to withdraw (after admission closes or during the course), you must submit a written request through the college Principal along with a course discontinuation fee of Rs. 3,00,000 and an online transaction receipt. Direct requests to the university will not be entertained.
**Certificate Verification:** The college will conduct final verification of your original certificates at the time of admission. If any discrepancy is found, your allotment will be cancelled and action will be taken as per university regulations. Ensure all your certificates are genuine and match the information in your NEET application.
