If you are eligible and have not yet been allotted a seat, you must act immediately: the application window closes at 3 PM today, allotments will be released the same evening, and you must report to your college by 4 PM tomorrow (30 October) or forfeit your seat permanently.
BDS Stray Round web options close TODAY at 3 PM; allotments release tonight; you must report to your college by 4 PM tomorrow with all original certificates and fees, or your seat is cancelled and cannot be recovered.

Unlock My College ListWhat is the Stray Round and who should apply?
The Stray Round is the final counselling round for BDS seats that remain vacant after all earlier phases (Phase-1, Phase-2, and Phase-3 Mop-up) are complete. It is open only to candidates under the Competent Authority Quota — the seats that Andhra Pradesh fills through its own state counselling process, not through the national Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
This round is your last chance if you have not yet been allotted a BDS seat in Andhra Pradesh. Once this round closes, no further counselling will be held for BDS admissions in the state for 2026-27. If you are eligible and interested in a BDS seat, you must participate today.
Who is NOT eligible for this Stray Round?
The university has clearly listed six categories of candidates who cannot participate in this Stray Round. If you fall into any of these groups, your application will be rejected. Read carefully — missing this is a common reason for rejection.
- Candidates whose names were shared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on 12 October 2026 or 21 October 2026 — these are candidates already allotted seats nationally
- Candidates who already joined (reported and completed admission) in MBBS or BDS courses under Phase-1 or Phase-2 counselling at Dr. NTRUHS, whether under Competent Authority or Management Quota
- Candidates who were allotted MBBS seats under Phase-3 (Mop-up) or Stray Round / Stray Round-II at Dr. NTRUHS, whether under Competent Authority or Management Quota
- Candidates who were allotted BDS seats under Phase-3 (Mop-up) counselling at Dr. NTRUHS, whether under Competent Authority or Management Quota
- Candidates who used the Free Exit Facility to withdraw from Competent Authority quota seats at Dr. NTRUHS in an earlier round
- Candidates whose names appear in the MCC's list up to Stray Round, or candidates who have already joined a BDS course in any other state
Critical dates and timeline — everything happens TODAY and tomorrow
This is not a multi-day process. The entire counselling cycle is compressed into 36 hours. You must understand each deadline clearly, as missing even one will result in loss of your seat.
The schedule is extremely tight because classes for BDS have already started on 24 September 2026. The university and colleges need to fill remaining seats and get new students into classes immediately.
| Event | Date & Time |
|---|---|
| Web options (application) window opens | 29 October 2026, 11:00 AM |
| Web options (application) window closes | 29 October 2026, 3:00 PM |

How to apply: step-by-step process
The application is done entirely online through the university's web portal. You do not need to visit the university office or any college to submit your application — only to report after allotment.
Follow these steps carefully. If you make an error in your web options, you cannot change them after 3 PM today.

What happens after you apply: allotment and reporting
Once the application window closes at 3 PM today, the university will process all applications and release allotments the same evening (29 October). You will receive an allotment order showing which college and seat you have been assigned. This allotment is based on your web options and the availability of seats.
If you are allotted a seat, you MUST report to that college by 4:00 PM tomorrow (30 October 2026). Reporting means physically going to the college with all required documents and fees. If you do not report by this deadline, your seat will be cancelled automatically, and you will forfeit admission. The university has explicitly stated that no extension of the reporting deadline will be granted under any circumstances.
Once you report and complete admission formalities, you cannot resign from the seat. You are committed to the BDS course at that college for the full duration.
Documents you must bring when reporting to the college
When you report to your allotted college by 4 PM on 30 October, you must bring ALL of the following original documents. If any document is missing or incorrect, your admission will be cancelled. Do not assume you can submit documents later — the university will verify everything on the day of reporting.
Prepare and organize these documents today so you can report quickly tomorrow.
- Allotment order (download from the portal after allotments are released)
- Provisional verification copy (issued by the university during counselling)
- All original certificates (10th, 12th, NEET admit card, NEET result, category certificate if applicable, etc.)
- Any other certificates or documents mentioned in the counselling instructions posted on the university website on 29 August 2026
Fees you must pay: university fee and college fee
You will be required to pay two separate fees when you report to the college: a University fee and a college tuition fee. The University fee is fixed and non-refundable. The college tuition fee varies by college and will be informed by the college at the time of reporting.
The University fee of Rs. 12,600/- must be paid at the time of downloading your allotment order from the portal. This fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against future payments or refunded under any circumstances, even if you later withdraw or your admission is cancelled due to a document discrepancy.
Additionally, you must pay the college's tuition fee and other college fees as directed by the college during admission. The exact amount will be informed by your allotted college.
- University fee: Rs. 12,600/- (paid online when downloading allotment order; non-refundable)
- College tuition fee: amount to be informed by the college (paid at the college during reporting)
- College fees: as per the college's fee structure (paid at the college during reporting)
- Security deposit: Rs. 10,000/- (as notified in the earlier notification dated 18 October 2026)
Important trap: certificate verification and cancellation risk
The university will verify all your original certificates at the college during admission. If any certificate is found to be incorrect, forged, or does not match the information in your application, your provisional allotment will be cancelled immediately. The university will then initiate action against you as per its regulations, which may include legal consequences.

This is not a minor issue — ensure that every certificate you bring is genuine, correctly issued, and matches your application exactly. If you have any doubt about a certificate, contact the issuing authority today to get a corrected copy before reporting tomorrow.
Critical rule: no upgradation, no free exit, no withdrawal
Once you are allotted a seat in this Stray Round and report to the college, several important restrictions apply:
You cannot upgrade to a better college or seat in any future counselling round. This is your final allotment.
You cannot use the Free Exit Facility to withdraw from your seat. Free Exit was available only up to Phase-3 (Mop-up) counselling, which has already ended.
You cannot withdraw from the BDS course until the entire admissions schedule is closed. Once you join, you are committed to the course.
If you are found to be involved in seat blocking (holding a seat while trying to get a better one elsewhere), legal action will be initiated against you.
What happens after you report: joining the course
Classes for the BDS course have already started on 24 September 2026. When you report and complete admission on 30 October, you will be joining mid-course. You are responsible for catching up with the coursework and attending all classes from the date you join.
Once you complete admission formalities and pay all fees, your admission is final. You cannot resign or withdraw from the course.
Counselling instructions and additional information
The university has posted detailed instructions on the counselling procedure on its website dated 29 August 2026. You are advised to read these instructions carefully before applying, as they contain important information about how to fill your web options, how allotments are made, and what to do if you face any issues.
The list of vacant BDS seats and colleges is displayed on the university website. Check this list to see which colleges have vacancies and which seats are available before you fill your web options.

What you cannot do: common mistakes to avoid
Several actions are explicitly prohibited and will result in rejection or cancellation of your admission. Avoid these mistakes:
- Do not attempt to block a seat (hold a seat while trying to get a better one elsewhere) — legal action will be taken
- Do not try to withdraw from your allotted seat after reporting — withdrawal is not permitted
- Do not request an extension of the reporting deadline — no extensions will be granted
- Do not assume you can pay fees later — all fees must be paid at the time of reporting
- Do not bring photocopies of certificates — only original certificates will be accepted
- Do not miss the 4 PM reporting deadline on 30 October — your seat will be cancelled automatically
- Do not expect a refund of the University fee — it is non-refundable under all circumstances
