The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has released the schedule for Round 2 online registration for admission to first-year MBBS and BDS seats for the academic year 2026-27. This is a counselling schedule announcement, not a result — it tells eligible candidates when and how to register online and get their documents verified for this round. Round 2 is meant only for candidates who did NOT register in Round 1 of Gujarat's state counselling. The process covers government and self-financed medical and dental colleges in Gujarat and applies to candidates who cleared Class 12 (Science, B/AB group) from a Gujarat Board, CBSE, CISCE, Cambridge, or NIOS-affiliated school in the state, and who qualify as per their All India Overall Rank in NEET-UG 2026.
If you did not register in Round 1 of Gujarat's medical/dental counselling, you must complete online PIN purchase and registration between 1 and 4 September 2026, followed by document verification at a help centre by 5 September 2026, to be considered for Round 2 seat allotment.
Who this round is for
This Round 2 registration window is specifically for candidates who have NOT already registered in Round 1 of ACPUGMEC's counselling for the 2026-27 academic year.
To be eligible, you must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with the B or AB group from the Gujarat Board, or from a school in Gujarat affiliated with CBSE, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Cambridge University, or the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
You must also have qualified NEET-UG 2026 as per your All India Overall Rank, and meet the eligibility rules laid down by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat, as well as the rules of the relevant regulatory Commission or Council (such as the National Medical Commission or Dental Council).
Round 2 schedule — dates and deadlines
There are three key steps in this round, each with its own start and end date and time. Missing any deadline means you cannot proceed further in this round.
| Step | From | To |
|---|---|---|
| Online PIN purchase (from ACPUGMEC website) | 01/09/2026 | 04/09/2026, 12:00 Noon |
| Online Registration | 01/09/2026 | 04/09/2026, 04:00 PM |
| Document verification & submission of photocopies at Help Center | 02/09/2026 | 05/09/2026, 12:00 PM |
How to register and what it costs
Registration is entirely online through the official website www.medadmgujarat.org. The process has two linked steps: first you buy an online PIN, then you use it to complete your registration.
The PIN purchase costs a total of Rs. 11,000 — made up of Rs. 1,000 (non-refundable processing fee) plus Rs. 10,000 (refundable security deposit). This is paid online at the time of PIN purchase.
After completing online registration, you must book a prior appointment for document verification. When you print your registration acknowledgement/slip, you can choose your own preferred date, time, and help centre for this verification step.
At the help centre, you must submit self-attested photocopies of your documents along with the originals for verification, as per the appointment you booked.
Important — if you already bought a PIN in Round 1
This is a crucial exception that can save you money and time. If you purchased the online PIN by paying Rs. 11,000 during Round 1 but did NOT complete online registration, OR you registered online but never went to a help centre for document verification and photocopy submission — you do NOT need to buy a fresh PIN for Round 2.
In this situation, you only need to complete the remaining steps: document verification and submission of photocopies of documents at the help centre, within the dates given for this round.
Help centre timings and rules
Help centres are where you get your application and documents verified in person. Keep the following working hours in mind while booking your appointment slot:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Closed on Sundays and public holidays — no verification happens on these days
- The list of help centres is available on www.medadmgujarat.org
- You must take a prior appointment before visiting; walk-ins for verification are not described in this notice as accepted
Special category: Local Quota (NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad / SMIMER, Surat)
If you wish to apply for a Local Quota seat at Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, or Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research (SMIMER), Surat, online registration alone is not enough.
You must additionally obtain a certificate from the Dean of the respective institute confirming that you are a local resident of Ahmedabad or Surat city, as applicable. For this, you need to contact the concerned college directly — this certificate is not issued through the ACPUGMEC portal.
Special category: NRI candidates
NRI (Non-Resident Indian) candidates have an extra financial step after completing online registration. You must submit a processing fee of Rs. 10,000 as a Demand Draft in favour of "ACPUGMEC", payable at Gandhinagar.
This Demand Draft must be submitted physically at the office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar — nowhere else. Do not send it to any other address or college.
Traps to avoid
A few points in this notice can trip up candidates if missed:
- ⚠️ This round is only for those who did NOT register in Round 1 — if you already registered in Round 1, this window is not for you.
- ⚠️ The PIN purchase deadline (04/09/2026, 12:00 Noon) is earlier and separate from the registration deadline (04/09/2026, 4:00 PM) — don't leave PIN purchase for the last minute.
- ⚠️ Document verification appointments must be booked yourself at the time of printing your registration slip — you choose the date, time, and help centre, so plan this immediately after registering, not later.
- ⚠️ Local Quota candidates for NHL Municipal Medical College or SMIMER need a separate residence certificate from the college Dean — this is not generated automatically online.
- ⚠️ NRI candidates' Rs. 10,000 processing fee must be a Demand Draft delivered physically to the Gandhinagar office — online payment is not mentioned as an option for this fee.
- ⚠️ If you already paid Rs. 11,000 in Round 1 but did not finish registration or verification, do not pay again — just complete the pending step.
