The Rajasthan NEET-UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board (RUHS, based at SMS Medical College, Jaipur) released the NEET-UG 2026 Round 2 provisional seat allotment along with a revised Round 2 seat matrix on 14 September 2026. If you are a Rajasthan state-quota candidate chasing an MBBS or BDS seat, this is the update that decides whether you report, resign or simply stay put. Everything official is posted on the state portal, neetrajasthan.com.
What was announced on 14 September?
Two things went live together: the Round 2 provisional seat allotment, which tells each candidate the college and seat they have been allotted, and a revised Round 2 seat matrix showing the updated seat position. Alongside the allotment, the board set out what retained candidates, upgraded candidates and those who wish to resign must each do next. A day later, on 15 September, a notice added that allotment letters were temporarily not downloading due to a technical issue and would be available shortly.
What are the key dates?
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Round 2 provisional seat allotment & revised seat matrix released | 14 September 2026 |
| Resignation window (joined in Round 1, did not upgrade, now wish to resign) | 15-16 September 2026 |

Who needs to act, and who can relax?
- Joined in Round 1, did NOT upgrade, and now want to resign: submit your resignation on 15-16 September 2026. First call the college to confirm where it must be submitted — either your allotted college or the college desk at SMS Medical College, Jaipur.
- Retained / not-upgraded / not-opted-for-upgradation candidates who joined in Round 1 with no change in allotted seat type and category: you need NOT report again.
- Newly or freshly allotted in Round 2: download your allotment letter from neetrajasthan.com and report by 18 September 2026 (per CollegeDunia); confirm the exact reporting requirement with your allotted college.
- Allotment letter not downloading: the board flagged this as a temporary technical issue on 15 September and said letters would be available shortly — retry after a while.
Always verify against the source before you travel or submit anything. The official notices and allotment are on the Rajasthan state counselling portal at neetrajasthan.com (notifications feed at ug.neetrajasthan.com). Because reporting and resignation involve college desks, ring your allotted college and confirm the venue, documents and cut-off time in writing where you can — deadlines and desk locations are strict during counselling.
