Puducherry NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Allotment: Seats, Fees & Joining Dates

Puducherry's CENTAC (Centralised Admission Committee) has published the Round 2 Provisional Allotment List for NEET UG 2026 on 13 September 2026. A total of 1,017 seats have been allotted across MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BVSc&AH courses under Government, Management, Management–Telugu Minority, and NRI quotas. Candidates who have been allotted a seat must now download their allotment order, pay the required fee, and report to their allotted college by 18 September 2026 at 5:00 pm to complete admission. This is a critical step—missing the deadline or failing to produce original certificates will result in forfeiture of your seat.

What is Round 2 Allotment and Why It Matters

Round 2 allotment is the second phase of seat allocation in Puducherry's NEET UG counselling for 2026–27. After candidates raised objections to the Draft Allotment List, CENTAC has now published the final Provisional Allotment List. This list shows which candidate has been assigned which seat in which college, course, and quota category.

If your name appears in this list, you have been offered a seat. However, the offer is not final until you complete three critical steps: (1) download your allotment order, (2) pay the required fee, and (3) report to the college with original certificates. Failure to do any of these by 18 September 5:00 pm will result in your seat being cancelled and your registration fee being forfeited.

Total Seats Allotted: Course-wise and Quota-wise Breakdown

CENTAC has allotted 1,017 seats out of 1,279 available seats across all courses and quotas in Round 2. The allotment varies significantly by course and quota type. MBBS has the highest allotment (744 seats across all quotas), followed by BDS (214 seats). Some quotas, such as BDS Management–Telugu Minority and BDS NRI, have zero allotments in this round, meaning no candidate met the eligibility criteria or no candidate accepted a seat in Round 1.

Two important notes: (1) 5 MBBS Government Quota seats are withheld pending the outcome of a Writ Appeal in the Madras High Court (W.A. No. 2674 of 2026), and (1) 1 MBBS Government Quota seat is reserved pending a Writ Petition (W.P. No. 36623 of 2026). These seats may become available later if the court rules in favour of the petitioner.

How to Check Your Allotment Status and Download Your Allotment Order

To find out if you have been allotted a seat, log in to the CENTAC dashboard using your credentials (username and password). Once logged in, you will see your allotment status. If you have been allotted, you can download your allotment order immediately. This order is a critical document—you must carry it to the college when you report for admission.

The allotment order will show your name, roll number, allotted course, allotted college, allotted quota, and any special conditions (such as the need for document verification). Keep a printed copy and also save a digital copy on your phone. You will need to present this order to the college principal along with all your original certificates.

Important: Document Verification for MSP and NRI Candidates

If you have been allotted a seat under the MSP (Minority Sports Persons) quota and this is your first allotment in Round 2, you must report to the CENTAC office on 15 September 2026 for verification of your original sports certificate by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Services. Your allotment order will not be enabled (activated) until this verification is complete. However, if you already reported for verification in Round 1, you can skip this step and proceed directly to the college.

If you have been allotted a seat under the NRI quota and this is your first allotment in Round 2, you must report to the CENTAC office between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm from 15 September to 18 September 2026 for verification of your original NRI certificate. Again, your allotment order will not be enabled until verification is complete. If you already verified your NRI certificate in Round 1, you can download your allotment order and go straight to the college.

⚠️ TRAP: If you are a fresh MSP or NRI allottee and you do not complete document verification by the deadline, your allotment order will remain disabled and you will not be able to join the college. You will lose your seat and your registration fee will be forfeited.

Reporting to College: Deadline, Documents & Admission Formalities

After downloading your allotment order, you must report to the Principal of your allotted college. The reporting window is from 15 September 2026 onwards, and the absolute last date and time is 18 September 2026 at 5:00 pm. If you report even one minute after 5:00 pm on 18 September, your seat will be cancelled.

When you report to the college, you must bring: (1) your downloaded allotment order, (2) all original certificates (10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, NEET admit card, NEET score card, category certificate if applicable, domicile certificate, medical fitness certificate, and any other document specified by the college), and (3) a valid photo ID. Admission is strictly conditional on the production of all original certificates and completion of all admission formalities as prescribed by the college.

⚠️ CRITICAL TRAP: If you do not report by 18 September 5:00 pm, or if you report but do not produce all original certificates, your admission will not be completed and your seat will be cancelled. Your registration fee will be forfeited. There is no extension of this deadline.

Fee Payment: How to Pay, Amount & Exemptions

The fee structure for all UG NEET-based courses for 2026–27 has been uploaded on the CENTAC website (www.centacpuducherry.in). You must check the exact fee amount for your course, college, and quota before making payment. Do not assume or guess the amount.

You must pay the fee through one of two methods: (1) NET BANKING—transfer the exact amount to the CENTAC account, or (2) NEFT/RTGS—generate a challan from the payment option in your dashboard login, and use it to transfer funds at your bank. ⚠️ CRITICAL: Pay the exact amount shown in the challan. If you pay a different amount, it may be returned and your payment will fail. Each NEFT/RTGS challan can be used only once. Read the HELP instructions on the dashboard carefully before attempting payment.

Fee payment is NOT required if you fall into one of these categories: (1) Puducherry SC/ST candidates allotted under Government Quota (fee will be paid by the AD Welfare Department), (2) Puducherry EBC candidates allotted under Government Quota (fee will be paid by the Fisheries Department), or (3) Puducherry candidates allotted under 10% Government School reservation. If you are in one of these categories, do not attempt to pay—the government will pay on your behalf.

Special Rules for Candidates Who Joined in Round 1

If you were admitted in Round 1 and have now been allotted a different course in Round 2, you are in a transition situation. You must pay the balance tuition fee if there is a difference between the fee for your Round 1 course and the fee for your Round 2 course. For example, if MBBS costs more than BDS, you will owe the difference. Any excess amount you paid in Round 1 will be refunded to you.

If you were admitted in Round 1 and have been retained in the same course in Round 2 (i.e., no change), you do not need to take any action regarding fees unless instructed otherwise by the college.

Registration Fee Refund & Forfeiture Rules: Know When You Lose Money

The registration fee is a separate charge from tuition fees. Whether you get it back or lose it depends entirely on your actions after allotment. Read these rules carefully—they determine whether you recover your registration fee or forfeit it.

If you are NOT allotted any seat in Round 2, your registration fee will be refunded in full. If you are allotted a seat but you are a Puducherry SC/ST/EBC/GSS candidate, your registration fee will be refunded ONLY if you join the allotted seat. If you are allotted a seat and you join the course, your registration fee will be adjusted (deducted) from your tuition fee, and you will pay only the balance tuition fee.

⚠️ FORFEITURE TRAP: If you are allotted a seat in Round 2 and you decline or do not join the course, your registration fee will be forfeited (you lose it completely). If you joined in Round 1 and are transferred to a new course in Round 2 but do not join your new allotted course, the amount equal to the registration fee for your new allotted course and quota will be forfeited, and only the remaining amount will be refunded. If you joined in Round 1, are retained in the same course in Round 2, and then withdraw your admission, the amount equal to the registration fee for your admitted course and quota will be forfeited, and the remaining amount will be refunded.

Important Dates: Your Action Timeline

The timeline for Round 2 is compressed and critical. All key actions must be completed within a 4-day window. Missing any deadline will result in loss of your seat and forfeiture of your registration fee.

15 September 2026 is the first action date. If you are an MSP candidate with a fresh allotment, you must report to CENTAC for document verification on this date. If you are an NRI candidate with a fresh allotment, you can report to CENTAC anytime between 15 and 18 September (10 am–3 pm). All candidates can begin reporting to their allotted colleges from 15 September onwards.

18 September 2026 at 5:00 pm is the absolute final deadline. By this time, you must have: (1) completed document verification if required, (2) downloaded your allotment order, (3) paid your fee, and (4) reported to your college with all original certificates and completed admission formalities. There is no extension.

What Happens If You Miss the Deadline or Don't Join

If you do not report to your allotted college by 18 September 2026 at 5:00 pm, your seat will be cancelled immediately. You will not be considered for any further round of counselling. Your registration fee will be forfeited—you will not get it back.

If you report to the college but do not produce all original certificates, your admission will not be completed. The college will not admit you, and your seat will be cancelled. Again, your registration fee will be forfeited.

If you are allotted a seat, download your allotment order, but then decide not to join, your registration fee will be forfeited. There is no 'cooling-off period' or option to change your mind after allotment. Once you are allotted, you are expected to join. If you do not, you lose your registration fee.
