Odisha NEET UG 2026 MBBS/BDS 1st Round: Reporting Schedule & Fees

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) board has released the official reporting schedule for all candidates who received a seat allotment in the 1st round of MBBS/BDS counselling for 2026–27. If you got an allotment letter, you must personally report at the OJEE office in Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar on your assigned date and time between 28 August and 3 September 2026. You will need to bring all original certificates, mark sheets, and required documents, along with photocopies, and pay the prescribed admission fee. This is a mandatory step — if you do not report on your scheduled date, your seat will be cancelled and you will have to participate in Round 2 with a fresh choice form.

What is this notice about?

This is the official reporting and provisional admission schedule for the 1st round of OJEE MBBS/BDS counselling for the 2026–27 academic year. After the merit list was released and seats were allotted to candidates, OJEE has now set specific dates and times for each college when allotted candidates must come to the OJEE office to complete provisional admission formalities.

Provisional admission is not the same as final admission. It is the first step where you confirm your seat, pay the admission fee, and submit your original documents. After all rounds of counselling are complete, the colleges will then conduct final admission. This notice tells you exactly when and where to report, what documents to bring, what fees to pay, and what happens if you don't show up.

Important dates: When must you report?

Reporting takes place over six days, from 28 August to 3 September 2026, at the OJEE office in Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar. Each college has been assigned a specific date and time slot. Your allotment letter will tell you which college you have been allotted to; find that college in the schedule below to know your exact reporting date and time.

The schedule is divided into two time slots: morning (10:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and afternoon (2:00 PM to 3:00 PM). Some colleges have multiple slots on the same day. NRI quota candidates have a separate reporting slot on 1 September 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, regardless of which college they are allotted to. Do not miss your slot — if you do not report on your assigned date and time, your seat will be cancelled.

Where do you report?

All candidates must report at the OJEE office located at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar. This is the only venue for provisional admission reporting in the 1st round. Do not go to your allotted college at this stage — the notice explicitly warns that you must wait until the entire counselling and admission process is complete before reporting to the college itself.

Make sure you arrive on time. The office will be open during the time slots shown in the schedule. Arriving late may result in your application not being processed on that day, which could lead to your seat being cancelled.

Documents you must bring (original + photocopies)

You must bring all documents in original form, plus a complete set of photocopies. The notice lists the following as required:

The two most critical documents are your Nativity Certificate and Character/Conduct Certificate (CLC) — the notice specifically states that you will receive your provisional admission letter only after these two documents are submitted in original. Without them, you cannot complete provisional admission. Make sure these are issued by the correct authority and are current. If your Nativity Certificate or CLC is missing or invalid, your admission will be delayed or rejected.

Admission fees: How much and how to pay

The admission fee you must pay depends on whether you have been allotted a government or private college, and whether you are an NRI candidate. You can pay online using your OJEE login ID, or by demand draft. If you choose to pay by demand draft, it must be drawn in favour of 'OJEE' at any scheduled bank and must be payable at Bhubaneswar. On the back of the draft, write your name, NEET application number, and date of birth. Bring the draft to the OJEE office on your reporting date.

If you pay online, bring proof of payment. If you pay by draft, bring the original draft. Either way, you must have paid the full fee before you can receive your provisional admission letter. The fee structure is fixed and applies to all candidates in the same category.

Special instructions: Freeze vs. Float option

Before you report to the OJEE office, you must exercise an option called 'Freeze' or 'Float' using your OJEE login ID. This is a critical step that affects your participation in future rounds. If you choose 'Freeze', your seat is locked in this college and you will not participate in Round 2 counselling — you must bring a Bond (in the format available on the OJEE website) when you report. If you choose 'Float', you keep the option to participate in Round 2 and potentially move to a different college.

The choice you make now will determine whether you stay in this college or can move in the next round. Read the OJEE website carefully to understand what Freeze and Float mean for your situation, and make your choice before coming to report. If you do not exercise this option online before your reporting date, you may not be able to complete provisional admission.

Who can come with you to report?

You can come alone, or you can bring only one of your guardians (parent or legal guardian). No other family members or friends should accompany you to the OJEE office. This is to ensure that the office can process applications smoothly and on time. If you are a minor, it is advisable to bring a guardian, but only one.

The person accompanying you should help you carry documents and the demand draft (if applicable), but the candidate must be present in person to sign all forms and complete the formalities.

What happens after you report?

Once you have submitted your admission fee and original Nativity Certificate and CLC, the OJEE office will give you a provisional admission letter and an acknowledgement of all documents you submitted. This provisional admission letter is proof that you have completed the first step of admission. Keep it safe — you will need it later.

After all rounds of counselling are finished, OJEE will send the final list of admitted students to each college along with the admission fees collected. The colleges will then contact you to complete final admission formalities (such as hostel allotment, ID card issuance, etc.). You will not report to the college until after final counselling is over. If any fee needs to be refunded to you (for example, if you shift from a private college to a government college in a later round), OJEE will process the refund after final admission dates are announced.

Critical warning: What happens if you don't report?

If you do not report on your assigned date and time, or if you do not follow any of the instructions in this notice, you will be marked as a 'non-reported candidate' and your allotted seat will be cancelled immediately. You will lose your seat in this round.

If your seat is cancelled, you can participate in Round 2 by filling a fresh choice form. However, you will have to go through the entire counselling process again, and there is no guarantee you will get a seat in a college of your choice. Do not miss your reporting date.

Important notes on government college fees and NRI fees

The fee of ₹37,950 per annum for government colleges is the amount you must deposit at the OJEE office during provisional admission. However, individual government colleges may collect additional fees at the institutional level (such as hostel fees, lab fees, or other charges). These additional fees may vary from college to college, so check with your allotted college about what extra fees you may need to pay after final admission.

If you are an NRI candidate allotted to a private college, you must pay four times the standard fee for that college. For example, if HiTech MCH Bhubaneswar charges ₹11,56,000 per annum for regular candidates, NRI candidates must pay ₹11,56,000 × 4 = ₹46,24,000 per annum. This is a significant amount, so plan accordingly. The notice also states that if the government revises the fee structure, the new fees will automatically apply.

Do not report to your college yet

A common mistake is for allotted candidates to go directly to their college to report. Do not do this. The notice explicitly states: 'Candidates are advised not to report at their allotted College at this stage and they must wait till the entire counselling and admission process is complete.' Your college will not admit you at this stage. You must first complete provisional admission at the OJEE office, then wait for final counselling to be over, and only then will the college contact you for final admission.

Going to the college before the scheduled time will waste your time and may cause confusion. Follow the schedule and report only at the OJEE office on your assigned date.
