Odisha NEET UG 2026 Counselling Schedule: Dates, Eligibility & Process

Who Is Eligible for Odisha State Quota MBBS/BDS Seats

Only candidates who are Odisha natives (domiciled in Odisha) are eligible to apply for state quota MBBS and BDS seats in Odisha medical colleges. This is a strict eligibility criterion and must be verified before you register.

Candidates from other states are NOT eligible for state quota seats. Important Eligibility for PWD and Ex-Serviceman (ES) Candidates

If you are a Person with Disability (PWD) or an Ex-Serviceman (ES) candidate and wish to claim the corresponding reservation, you must attend a mandatory assessment board on 10 or 11 August 2026. Missing these dates will result in loss of your PWD or ES reservation status.

PWD candidates must attend the Medical Assessment Board at SCB Medical College, Cuttack on either 10 August or 11 August 2026. This board will assess your disability and determine your eligibility for PWD reservation.

Choice Filling: How to Select Your Colleges and Courses

After the final merit list is published, all candidates whose names appear on the merit list must fill their choices of colleges and courses. Choice filling for the first round opens on 14 August 2026 at 8:30 PM and closes on 17 August 2026 at 11:59 PM. This is your opportunity to rank the colleges and courses you wish to be considered for, in order of preference.

You can fill as many choices as you wish. The system will consider your choices in the order you have ranked them during allotment. Rank your preferred colleges and courses carefully, as allotment will be made based on your merit position and your choice ranking.

After choice filling closes, OJEE will reconcile the data on 18 August 2026. The first round provisional allotment will be published on 19 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. You will be allotted a seat based on your merit rank, your choices, and seat availability.

First Round Allotment and Admission Process

The first round provisional allotment will be published on 19 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. Check the portal to see if you have been allotted a seat. If you have a query about your allotment, you can raise it on 20 August 2026 by 5:00 PM.

The final first round allotment and allotment letters will be published on 22 August 2026 at 11:30 AM. Download your allotment letter immediately and keep it safe.

If you have been allotted a seat, you must report to the OJEE Cell at Gandamunda between 23 August 2026 and 28 August 2026 with your original documents, signed bond, and admission fees to complete provisional admission. Failure to report within this period may result in forfeiture of your seat.

You can withdraw from the admission process at any time between 23 August 2026 at 5:00 PM and 30 August 2026 at 11:59 PM if you wish to participate in the next round or withdraw entirely. College-wise reporting schedules will be notified separately.

Second and Third Round Counselling

If you did not get a seat in the first round, or if you withdrew, you can participate in the second round. Registration for the second round opens on 31 August 2026 at 5:00 PM and closes on 2 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. A provisional revised merit list will be published on 3 September 2026 at 5:00 PM, incorporating newly registered candidates and those who withdrew from the first round.

Choice filling for the second round will take place from 4 September 2026 at 7:00 PM to 6 September 2026 at 4:30 PM. The second round provisional allotment will be published on 7 September 2026 at 5:00 PM, with final allotment letters on 8 September 2026 at 7:00 PM. Provisional admission reporting for the second round is from 9 September 2026 to 14 September 2026.

A third round will also be conducted. Registration for the third round opens on 16 September 2026 at 5:00 PM and closes on 17 September 2026 at 11:59 PM.
