If you registered for Gujarat's state NEET UG counselling for MBBS or BDS seats, a key document just landed: the Round 1 revised provisional merit list, published by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) on August 20, 2026. This list reflects corrections made after candidates raised objections about their rank, category or personal details during a designated window. Since this revised list — not the original provisional one — will be used for choice filling in Round 1, every registered candidate needs to check it carefully. A missed correction or an unnoticed 'Not Eligible' tag at this stage can affect your seat allotment outcome.

The Gujarat NEET UG 2026 Round 1 revised merit list, out since August 20, is the final rank basis for choice filling — check your category-wise PDF on medadmgujarat.org and flag any error immediately, since choice filling dates are still to be announced.

What actually happened

ACPUGMEC first released a provisional merit list for Gujarat NEET UG 2026 Round 1 on August 16. Candidates who spotted errors — in rank, category, or personal information — were given a correction window from August 17 to August 19, during which they could raise objections in person at their assigned help centres between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Based on these objections, ACPUGMEC issued a revised provisional merit list on August 20 at 4:50 PM, alongside a revised counselling schedule released the same day. This revised list is now available on the official portal, medadmgujarat.org, without any login requirement — candidates simply need to locate their NEET UG roll number in the relevant category PDF.

Which categories are covered

The revised list is split into separate downloadable PDFs by category, so candidates should pick the correct one rather than scanning a combined list.

  • General
  • Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC)
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
  • NHL Local Quota (Ahmedabad-linked local quota)
  • SMC Local Quota (Surat-linked local quota)
  • A separate 'Not Eligible' list with stated reasons for exclusion

Still pending: PwD and NRI verification

Two groups of candidates will need to wait a little longer. The merit list for Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates has not been released yet, as verification of PwD certificates is still underway. Similarly, verification for NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota applicants is ongoing. If you fall into either category, do not assume you have been left out — a separate list is expected once verification is complete, and you should keep checking the portal rather than treating your absence from the main list as final.

How to check your rank

The process requires no login, which makes it quick, but candidates should be precise about which document they open.

  • Go to medadmgujarat.org, the official ACPUGMEC portal
  • Open the Medical and Dental tab under the Undergraduate Admission section
  • Click the link for the Gujarat NEET UG 2026 Revised Merit List
  • Select the PDF for your specific category (General, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, or local quota)
  • Search for your NEET UG roll number within that PDF
  • Save or print a copy for your records before choice filling begins

Why this list matters more than the first one

This revised list, not the August 16 version, will form the basis for Round 1 choice filling — the stage where candidates rank their preferred MBBS or BDS colleges. Because the correction process can change a candidate's category classification, add or remove eligibility flags, or adjust rank position within a category, even a small change here can shift which colleges realistically remain within reach when seat allotment is computed.

Candidates who see the 'Not Eligible' tag against their name should read the stated reason on the portal rather than ignoring it — in many state counselling processes, some eligibility issues (like pending document verification) can still be resolved before choice filling closes, while others cannot.

What to do before choice filling opens

With the choice filling schedule for Round 1 not yet announced, this is the window to get your paperwork and preferences in order rather than wait passively.

  • Download and verify your category-wise revised merit list entry — rank, category and personal details
  • If you find a discrepancy even now, report it to your designated help centre without delay
  • Start shortlisting Gujarat medical and dental colleges based on your likely rank range
  • Keep your original documents and the counselling fee ready, since choice filling and allotment can move quickly once announced
  • Check medadmgujarat.org daily for the choice filling schedule and, if applicable, the pending PwD merit list

Frequently asked questions

Where can I check the Gujarat NEET UG 2026 revised merit list?

On the official ACPUGMEC portal, medadmgujarat.org, under the Medical and Dental section for Undergraduate Admission. No login is needed — you search by your NEET UG roll number in the category-specific PDF.

Why was the merit list revised after August 16?

ACPUGMEC allowed candidates to raise objections about their rank, category, or personal details at help centres between August 17 and 19. The revised list, issued August 20, reflects the outcome of these corrections.

I am a PwD candidate — why don't I see my name on the list?

A separate merit list for PwD (Persons with Disability) candidates has not been released yet because certificate verification is still in progress. Keep checking the portal for a dedicated PwD list.

What if I'm marked as 'Not Eligible'?

The portal lists the specific reason against your name. Depending on the reason, some issues may still be correctable before choice filling; others may not be. Contact your help centre to clarify your options.

Is this the list used for choice filling, or will there be another update?

This revised provisional merit list is intended to be the basis for Round 1 choice filling. Candidates should treat it as authoritative unless ACPUGMEC issues a further update.

When does Round 1 choice filling for Gujarat NEET UG 2026 begin?

The date has not been announced yet as of this list's release. Candidates should monitor medadmgujarat.org for the schedule and be ready to fill choices once it opens.

For Gujarat NEET UG aspirants, the immediate task is simple but important: pull up the correct category PDF, confirm your rank and details are accurate, and keep documents ready for choice filling. Watch medadmgujarat.org for the Round 1 choice filling dates and the pending PwD merit list, both of which are expected soon.
