Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), which runs the state's NEET UG counselling, has announced the Round 1 schedule for NEET UG 2026 Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling. This round covers both MBBS and BDS seats in the state. The notice gives exact dates for registration, choice filling, fee payment, result declaration and the last date to join an allotted college. This is a schedule announcement — it tells candidates when each step of Round 1 will happen, not the eligibility or seat details, which are covered separately in the information bulletin.
Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Round 1 registration, choice filling and fee payment are open from 13 August 2026 (11:00 AM) to 19 August 2026 (5:00 PM), with results on 22 August 2026 and joining deadline 28 August 2026.
What HNBUMU has announced
HNBUMU is the body that conducts state-level NEET UG counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions in Uttarakhand — this is called the State Centralised Counselling. The notice released is the schedule for Round 1 of this counselling for the 2026-27 admission session.
Only two things are covered in this notice: the timeline for Round 1, and a set of general notes about how the counselling will be run. Detailed eligibility rules, document lists, and seat matrices are covered in a separate information bulletin, which candidates are told to read carefully.
Round 1 schedule at a glance
Here is the complete Round 1 timeline as given in the notice. All times are as per the counselling portal's server time.

Who can register
Registration is open only to candidates who are eligible under Uttarakhand's state government norms and who have qualified NEET UG 2026. Both conditions must be met — clearing NEET UG 2026 alone does not automatically make a candidate eligible; state eligibility norms (such as domicile or residency requirements set by the Uttarakhand government) also apply. The notice does not spell out those state eligibility norms here — candidates should check the information bulletin for the exact criteria.
Registration and fee payment
Registration, filling the application form, choice filling, and fee submission all happen within the same window: 13 August 2026 (11:00 AM) to 19 August 2026 (5:00 PM server time). Candidates should not leave this to the last day, since all these steps must be completed inside one window and portals often slow down close to the deadline.
Two payments are required during this window: the registration fee and a security fee. Both must be paid online — the notice specifies payment can be made by credit card, debit card, or net banking, and this applies to candidates of all categories.
- Registration fee — paid online
- Security fee (refundable deposit, amount as per category, per the information bulletin) — paid online
- Accepted payment modes: Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking
Choice filling — what candidates must do
During the same 13–19 August window, registered candidates must fill their college and course choices in order of preference. This is the step that decides which colleges and courses a candidate is considered for during seat allotment. Because choice filling and registration share the same deadline, candidates should register early enough to have time to research and rank their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges before the window closes on 19 August 2026 at 5:00 PM.
Result, allotment and joining the college
After choice filling closes, the counselling board will process the data on 20 and 21 August 2026 to compute seat allotments. The Round 1 result will be declared on 22 August 2026.
Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 1 must report and join their allotted college by 28 August 2026. This is the final date — missing it can mean losing the allotted seat, so candidates should keep all required original documents ready in advance (as per the information bulletin) so that college-level reporting can be completed on time.
What is not yet announced
This notice only covers Round 1. The notice explicitly states that the schedule and detailed procedure for Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round will be notified separately on the university website later. Candidates who do not get a seat in Round 1, or who want to try for a better option, will need to watch for these separate announcements.
Important notes and things to watch out for
The notice carries several standing instructions that candidates must keep in mind through the whole counselling process:
- ⚠️ The schedule can change. The counselling board has reserved the right to modify the above dates — candidates should check the HNBUMU website regularly rather than assuming these dates are final.
- ⚠️ No personal notifications will be sent. The notice states clearly that no separate information will be sent to individual candidates — all updates go only on the university website.
- ⚠️ Directions from higher authorities override this bulletin. Any fresh advisory from the Government of India, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the National Medical Commission (NMC), the Dental Council of India (DCI), or the Uttarakhand government will replace anything in this notice or the information bulletin.
- The table in this notice is described as "indicative only" — candidates are advised to read the full information bulletin for complete, detailed instructions on eligibility, documents and procedure.
- College-level admission instructions (what to carry, verification steps, etc.) will be displayed separately by the university, in addition to this schedule.
