- Class XI mark sheet (both sides of the certificate)
- H.S.C. (Class XII) mark sheet (both sides) or the equivalent examination certificate
- Transfer Certificate (TC) obtained after completing H.S.C. or the equivalent course
- Certificate of proof of study from VI Std. to XII Std. — required only for candidates who studied entirely in Tamil Nadu but are NOT native to Tamil Nadu
- Community Certificate, if applicable to the candidate's category
- Nativity Certificate, if applicable
- Income Certificate of a parent — required only if claiming fee exemption

⚠️ If you are claiming Tamil Nadu native status through a parent
This is a trap area many families miss. If a candidate is claiming Tamil Nadu nativity for communal (community-based) reservation through a parent rather than through their own schooling, additional parent documents must be uploaded, not just the candidate's own certificates.
- Community Certificate of either one parent, obtained from the competent Revenue Authority in Tamil Nadu — this must be the parent's certificate, not the candidate's own if the claim is being made through the parent
Management Quota — Minority Status candidates
Candidates seeking admission under management quota by claiming minority status in self-financing medical/dental colleges or state private university colleges must produce minority certificates specific to the type of minority status being claimed.

Management Quota — NRI Status candidates
NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota seats in self-financing medical, dental and state private university colleges require proof not just of the candidate's relationship to an NRI, but formal proof of the financial supporter's NRI status and finances. Note the specific cut-off date mentioned for OCI cards.
- NRI status certificate of the financial supporter, issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under official seal — OR an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card obtained BEFORE 04.03.2021
- Certificate of Relationship between the NRI financial supporter and the candidate, issued by a competent Revenue authority
- Valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter
- NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book belonging to the financial supporter
7.5% Special Preferential Quota for Government School Students
This quota reserves 7.5% of seats for students who studied in Tamil Nadu government schools. The proof required depends entirely on which academic year the candidate completed Higher Secondary in — this is an important distinction candidates must check carefully.
- Candidates who completed Higher Secondary BEFORE the 2022-2023 academic year must obtain a Bonafide Certificate from the CEO (Chief Educational Officer) of their district, certifying they studied in a government school from 6th to 12th Std
- Candidates who completed Higher Secondary in the 2022-2023 batch or any batch AFTER that do NOT need to get this Bonafide Certificate — their school study details will instead be verified directly through the EMIS Portal (Education Management Information System)
