Before NTRUHS opens the 2026-27 Competent Authority Quota application, every NEET UG 2026 candidate applying in Andhra Pradesh must scan and keep ready up to 22 categories of certificates — including several with strict, easy-to-miss rules (caste sub-group, EWS certificate date, local status certificate mode) that can get an application rejected if not followed exactly.
What this notice actually says
NTRUHS will soon invite online applications from NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates for admission into MBBS and BDS courses under the Competent Authority (Convener) Quota for the academic year 2026-27. To avoid last-minute rush and delays in verification, the University has published a provisional list of documents and is asking candidates to scan all originals now, before the admission notification is issued.
This means the actual counselling schedule, registration dates and fee payment details have not been announced yet. Candidates must keep checking the NTRUHS website (https://drntr.uhsap.in) regularly for the schedule and further updates. Once the University issues the admission notification, the Prospectus/Regulations will also be published on the same website — candidates should read that document too, since it will confirm the final list of documents required.
Mandatory documents every candidate needs
A set of core documents is marked 'Mandatory' in the notice — these apply to every applicant regardless of category or quota being claimed.
- NEET UG 2026 Score Card
- Birth Certificate (SSC/10th Class Marks Memo)
- Qualifying Exam Certificate — Intermediate/10+2 Marks Memo or equivalent. A Grade Certificate is NOT accepted in place of this.
- Study Certificates from 6th to 10th class (if you have one single certificate covering all years, upload that as a single PDF)
- Study Certificates for Intermediate or equivalent, covering both years (again, a single combined PDF is fine if you have one certificate)
- Candidate's latest passport-size photo (JPG/JPEG, 100 KB)
- Specimen signature of the candidate (JPG/JPEG, 100 KB)
Category and reservation certificates — read the fine print
This section carries the most important traps in the entire notice. Get any of these wrong and your certificate may simply not be considered.
Community (caste) certificates: only Integrated Community Certificates issued through online mode by the Mandal Revenue Officer or the Competent Authority of the Government of Andhra Pradesh will be considered. Certificates from other states or issued offline will not count.
BC category candidates: only BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D or BC-E certificates are accepted. An OBC certificate (the central government classification) will NOT be considered for AP State Quota.
SC candidates — this is critical: the caste certificate must specifically mention the SC Sub-Group — SC Group-I, SC Group-II, or SC Group-III — as notified in G.O.Ms.No. 7, Social Welfare (CV), dated 18-04-2025. A caste certificate that does not mention the SC sub-group will NOT be accepted under any circumstances, even if the candidate genuinely belongs to the SC category.
Certificates that apply only if relevant to you
Several documents in the list are needed only 'if applicable' — that is, only if you are claiming a specific benefit or belong to a specific group. Upload these only if they apply to your case.
- Minority Certificate issued by the Minority Welfare Officer (Muslim candidates only)
- Transfer Certificate (Intermediate/10+2)
- EWS candidates: Income and Asset Certificate for Economically Weaker Sections, valid for the year 2026-27 (financial year 2025-26), issued by the Tahsildar on or after 01.04.2026, and issued only by the Competent Authority of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This applies to candidates not covered under SC, ST or BC.
- Parental Income Certificate/White Ration Card — needed only for fee reimbursement purposes, if applicable
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) candidates must submit: a valid UDID card issued by a designated medical authority under MoSJE, a self-certified affidavit in the format under Schedule-I of the Interim Guidelines dated 19.07.2025, and must later appear before the designated medical board for verification of that affidavit
- NCC Certificate — if you have more than one certificate, combine them into a single PDF
- CAP (Children of Armed Forces Personnel) Certificate — documents differ for retired vs serving personnel (see table below)
- Sports & Games Certificate, along with the applicable Forms 1 to 4 issued by the concerned Association
- Police Martyr Children Certificate
- Anglo Indian Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
- Bharath Scouts and Guides Certificate
CAP certificate requirements — retired vs serving personnel
Candidates claiming the Children of Armed Forces Personnel category must submit a different combination of documents depending on whether the parent is retired or still serving. All documents for this category must be combined into a single PDF.

AP Non-Local status and Local Status Certificate for Telangana migrants
Andhra Pradesh reserves 15% of Unreserved seats for 'Non-Local' candidates — those who did not study or reside in AP for the required period. To claim this 15% quota, a candidate must prove ONE of the following (not all):
Separately, candidates who migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh and wish to claim Local Status in AP must submit a Local Status Certificate issued through ONLINE MODE by the MRO, as per G.O.s No.132/171/129/161 of the General Administration Department. The notice is explicit that only certificates issued online on or before 01-06-2024 will be valid — certificates obtained manually from the competent authority will NOT be considered, even if the content is otherwise correct.
- Minimum 10 years Study Certificate of the student, OR either parent, showing study only in Andhra Pradesh, OR
- Proof of minimum 10 years residence in Andhra Pradesh of either parent, OR
- Current Employment Certificate of either parent, showing current employment in Andhra Pradesh only
Other identity documents and file specifications
Beyond category-specific papers, the notice also requires standard identity proof and specifies exact file formats and sizes for every document — uploads outside these specifications may be rejected by the online system.
- Aadhar Card — required for all candidates
- Most certificates: PDF format, maximum 500 KB per file
- NCC Certificate: PDF, up to 1500 KB (if combining multiple certificates)
- CAP and Sports & Games Certificates: PDF, up to 2000 KB (if combining multiple certificates)
- Photo and Signature: JPG or JPEG format, up to 100 KB each
Warning against fake or altered documents
The notice closes with a strong legal warning that candidates and parents must take seriously: creating, submitting or circulating a fabricated, digitally altered, or otherwise forged document is a cognizable offence. It separately attracts liability under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act, 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. This is not a minor administrative issue — it can mean criminal prosecution, not just rejection of the application. Candidates should never attempt to edit dates, categories or details on any certificate before scanning it.

I migrated from Telangana — what document proves my local status in AP?
You need a Local Status Certificate issued through online mode by the MRO, as per the specified G.O.s. It must have been issued online on or before 01-06-2024. Certificates obtained manually will not be considered, regardless of when they were issued.
What if I upload a document that has been digitally edited?
